They came out to snake our drain and sent their least experienced person. This individual did not speak a word of English, which isn't a huge deal given translation apps are available, but it makes communication stressful. He barely tried to snake the drain and said it wouldn't work. He called his supervisor who said he needed a chain snake. The next evening he returned with the chain snake and it proceeded to fall apart IN the drain. He claimed that his colleague didn't put all of the parts in the box correctly so he'd have to come back again for a third time. He came back with his supervisor and they couldn't even get past the trap! They claim they used a camera and they saw a corroded pipe that needed rerouting. I called another plumber who came and cleared the clog in two minutes. They may be a bit less expensive but they are inexperienced and a total waste of time and money!! read more

This is a follow-up to a post I made on April 14, 2026. Since the debacle of having Continental plumbers come out and install a garbage disposal, we have had the fire department out because the plumber AND the supervisor (who was supposedly a licensed electrician) did not identify that the garbage disposal they installed was a 20 amp and the electrical socket was only 15 amps. For over a month it keep tripping the circuit until it basically caught on fire and burnt up one day. Along with the fire department responding, we have since spent an additional $3,145.82 to get the electrical fixed, as well as, having to buy an another NEW garbage disposal and have it installed. All Continental would reimburse us for was the $309.00 to install THEIR garbage disposal. We have since had to file a small claims court filing to hopefully get the outstanding charges THEY are responsible for. I would NEVER recommend them for ANY service. read more

The team at Continental Plumbers got the job done, but the experience was mixed! The work was solid, yet scheduling was a bit inconvenient and the timeline wasn't very clear. We needed a plumber to locate a leaking pipe in our dining room ceiling. Continental Plumbing responded professionally and was able to answer all of my questions regarding fees, covid safety gear and who would be ringing our doorbell. The plumber arrived on time, was polite, assessed the work that needed to be done and advised us of the problem. He gave us a reasonable price for the repair and once we agreed to the work, the plumber and his associate covered up our furniture and made the repairs. We were satisfied with the work and plan to make them our "go to" plumber. read more

I've lived in Union for almost 2 years now and I've been trying to find reliable companies for my home needs and Continental Plumbers is one of them. I've now used them a few times and they NEVER disappoint! When I call they are always very polite and actually seem to care about whatever issue I'm having. Every time I'm given a window for them to show up they are always on time. Also, the windows to arrive are reasonable, NOT like "Hey someone will get to your home between 8AM - 4PM The plumbers are always polite, know what they are doing, give great and honest suggestions and clean up when the job is complete. The last time they were here they vacuumed the area they were working in LOLOL. That was great and appreciated. Now that I have a plumbing company I can count on I just need to find a reliable landscaper, Sprinkler company and General contractor LOL! Two gentlemen came to replace my 75 gallon hot water tank with a 50 gallon today (located in a closet on the top floor of my townhouse). Both men wore masks the entire time, which I appreciate very much. The first thing they did was drape my creme carpeted stairs with an anti-slip drop cloth. They completed the job within the estimated timeframe and cleaned up after themselves. The lady who handled the scheduling and billing, as well as all of my questions, was very responsive on the phone, via text and email, and professional. Would definitely recommend them! read more

This place is professional, responsive and accountable. I've worked with other plumbers who disappear on you, don't follow through, or are just never available when you really need them. They do have a minimum service call fee, but it's pretty on par with what you'll pay for any plumber (maybe less). read more

This company was recommended to me by a friend. I called them to check out a plumbing issue I was having. They did a snaking job, and when they left and I needed to call them back for a job they didn't do correctly. The worker suggested that I replace the pipeline. I said no and called another plumber for a second opinion, after they left, to do a job they didn't do correctly the first time around. I spent unnecessary money getting the work done by someone else. In fact, the issue was there was a broken snake in my pipe. I would have spent a couple of thousand fixing a problem my pipe didn't have. Although, they were responsive and speedy, they failed in doing the work correctly from the get go, and blamed it on my pipes being old and corroded. On top of this all, as a woman, I felt I was not dealt with professionally. Sadly, I won't be using this company again. read more

I reached out to Continental this past Saturday morning because I had a leaking steam boiler return line and was in a bit of a jam due to the sub par plumber that was assigned to my service request by American Home Shield. Continental came through like a champ! When they arrived they assessed the damage, gave me a quote and told me how long the job would take. I hired them on the spot. They were done within the time frame given and the guys that came out were super friendly and clean. They did a fantastic job all around. So much so that I plan on having them come back next month to do some additional work for me! I would highly recommend them for any heating and/or plumbing work needed. I called for a routine annual furnace cleaning. After they serviced the furnace 180.00 the glass broke the next day and they advised I am responsible to repair the glass another 120.00. They are scammers. I've been a home owner for 20 years and always have annual cleaning never had this issue. GO SOMEWHERE LEGIT read more

We called a few days ahead of time for an appointment to hook up a washer, a gas dryer and a slop sink. We had a day and time scheduled. We waited a few hours (this is not our home, so it was a special trip). We finally called only to have the owner (who was running the company from another country) tell us that we really didn't have a formal appt, but he could send his people by. He quoted us $360. Which we thought was high, but agreed to the price. The two young fellows arrived. No English was spoken. The next thing we know the owner calls us and says he needs $210 more. All parts except for the dryer vent was on site, but he said add'l parts would be $125! We had used them in the past and were satisfied. Do not waste your time with these folks. They are not a stand up operation. Never again read more

Well, all I have to say is that Edmundo and his crew have always offered me an outstanding service. This week, I had a gas leak in my rental property in NJ and PSEG had to turn the gas off. Continental's guys came and did some tests, decided on the course of action necessary to comply with the violation changing a whole pipe and fixing other fixtures. Our basement was flooding when we ran the washing machine because there was water coming out from under the bathtub of the bathroom on that floor. We assumed the worst but knew it was something that needed immediate resolution so called these guys the next day. They came out the same day and assessed the situation and then the boss came out and immediately figured out it was the sump pump. There were also some other things my mom (who had been hosting them) mentioned needed to be done as well. The boss wrote out the invoice/contract and the guys came the next morning to do the work and when they said they would be there at 9, they were there at 9. Every time they came and went they were always right on the dot, which already is a huge pro! I hate waiting around for people who don't show up when they said they would. Then it turned out there had been some miscommunication (you could argue fault on both sides so not blaming them AT ALL) and some more work needed to be done than originally contracted. No problem, they came out and did another work order and did the additional work that same day between other jobs. They always stayed long enough to check their work (for example, waiting for washing machine to discharge water to make sure it wasn't flooding). They were respectful, professional, and I think fairly priced. Plumbing work is never cheap but all things considered I think all the work they had to do was well worth the price. I was nervous about having to call for professional help just by looking on the internet, but as usual the internet is always right! Just kidding, but since I did rely on other reviews to pick these guys wanted to add my own. I'll happily call these guys again next time I need them! read more
