Price was ridiculous for just a crappy lunch buffet. As with other reviews, the food tasted old and dried out...like it had been sitting there all day. And we came around noon on a Sunday. We were both very happy with the food and selection. There is so much to choose from. Chinese, sushi, American, salad bar, dessert bar, soups, kid friendly items. Real nice place . Our first visit.The parking lot was almost full, inside everything was calm. No rushing the customers .Clean is what I look for ,and it was . Great food ,good drinks . Have been here a few times and the experience wasn't bad but today I found a long hair in my egg roll looks like it was baked in itso I showed the waitress who apologized and got the cook or manager not sure who he was he then in turn stated they don't make the egg rolls and basically accused me of not telling the truth about the hair... wow really I don't need a free meal that bad but anyway he offered only 10% off the bill I was not impressed with how i was handled with this situation at all and then heard he accused the waitress of it being hers.. not sure if I will ever go back because I should not have been treated by management like I was making up having a hair in my egg roll.. Went here for the Sunday lunch buffet. We both got chicken fingers and noticed that the larger pieces were not cooked completely as they were pink in the middle and also chewy. We told our server and she told the manager/owner who came over to the table to argue with us that they are cooked and the seasoning they use makes them pink inside. We told him that they were not cooked and that it was not a big deal as this sometimes happens. He left and came back a few minutes later and showed us the middle of a chicken finger that was cooked and continued to argue his point. We didn't make an issue of it but because he could not respect our opinion and obviously didn't care about the fact that they were not cooked thoroughly, we will no longer continue to frequent this restaurant. I will say the server was very nice and she did a good job but this manager made us feel like we were in the wrong. So much for the customer is always right. It was like eating yard sale food with high end price. I have never had General Tso's chicken made with a paste for sauce. The food was bland and not fresh, the fried rice didn't even stick together and was tasteless. My wife got a Sprite for a drink, the first time it was just soda water the second time you could taste the cleaner they used to clean the soda machine. The staff was nice but dressed in old jeans, tee shirts with keys slapping around as he walked. If I'm going to pay $13.99ea for a meal I should at least be able to eat it. Pricey for a buffet. The food was mostly greasy and the pork dumplings were hard from age. The egg drop soup included corn and strings of chicken (barf). And there was neither plain white rice -- the most Chinese thing in the world --nor rice noodles. Also the music was loud and really, really bad. Why can't Chinese restaurants play Chinese music? Arrived here around 3pm to have a dinner buffet in which you pay more for because of the selection of food well all the items we went for there was none out at the buffet. We ask the waitress and two other people who were bringing food out but little to say we never got what we paid for. When I asked for the manager and he came out and I explained that none of the dinner food was there he told me people take to much and he can't keep putting it out and I told him that's his problem I'm paying to eat that he just kept telling me he can't keep putting it out he can't make profit if he does that.I told him we should be paying lunch price then because we only got stuff on the lunch menu. He would do nothing for us I told him you will never see us again his comment was OK. This location was previously Yangtze Restaurant, which had typical mediocre Chinese fare. Tried this place again after it first opened as the Continental - now a mostly Chinese buffet offering (along with a Sushi bar). That visit was horrible - the staff was very unorganized (while we were up getting food, they moved our belongings to another table - our waiter disappeared - and it took forever to get the check at the end of the meal). Like others have noted, many of the buffet item trays were either empty or had very little food in them. I decided to skip this place in the future after that visit. The Mrs. had lunch there not too long ago and said she thought they had improved, so she talked me into giving them another try. While the waitstaff was improved, I can't say the same for the food. Again, there were some trays that had little food in them, most of what I tried was only lukewarm. But the thing that stopped me in my tracks was when I saw one of the staff adding water to some of the food trays. No, I'm not talking about the water underneath the trays to keep the food warm, I mean right into the food itself. I don't know if they felt the food was drying out, or they were trying to make it look like there was more in the trays - but I was flabbergasted! Who does that??? The food is prepared in a certain way and I can imagine the cook would also flip out if they saw anyone watering down a dish they prepared. I guess I'm not that big of a fan of buffets in general either. I see too many people go to them and heap their plates extremely high with food (you get that you can get up and get more if you're still hungry, right?) I didn't even want to put a star for this restaurant. First of all, the hostess, I believe her name was Lisa was completely rude while greeting and bringing us to her table. We even overheard her swearing to another worker! Our server was ok She greeted us immediately and got our drinks. However she seemed sort of out of it or just overwhelmed. When we went to get our food, there were more empty pans then there were full. It took forever to get what we wanted. It seemed like the food had been sitting there for a while as well because the rice was very dry. I don't think this restaurant is a "team oriented" environment at all. I'd been there w/a friend for lunch a few weeks ago. It was cheap and decent for a lunch buffet. The waitress ( not the sharpest tool in the shed ) exclaimed ( after eavesdropping ) "If you think it's good now, just try it on the weekend!!!!!! We have PRIME RIB, MONSTER SHRIMP, bla bla bla.. ALL FOR ONLY $13.99!!!" When all we'd said was it was ok for a $7.99 lunch. So we figured maybe we'd comeback with hubbies some night. So this afternoon I told my husband I'd take him to dinner my treat. I called ahead to be sure they actually had prime rib and was assured they did. HA! What a HORRIBLE experience! The "prime rib" had to have been from the world tinest cow! It was (absolutely NO exaggeration ) the size of a PORK TENDERLOIN round and approx 1/4 inch thick and all dried out in a dry, hot steam table. UGH! Then I go looking for these "HUGE shrimp"... yeah, huge.... about as long as my index finger! But... that INCLUDED THE HEAD, antenna and legs, shell and tail. Suchi NOT ON ICE! It was all under hot lights! (I should've known better right then!) The rest of the food went downhill from there. Period. The waiter this evening kept asking me red or white when I simply said, 'house rose' please. Red or white??? Red or white what? I just said nicely no, 'rose' please. Red or white??? OMG! Sooooooooo...., now I've been home less than an hour and vomited TWICE.. I only wrote this now to hopefully prevent YOU from getting sick this evening or weekend also. What an AWESOME Saturday night. This place is fantastic. The food and drinks are good, but it's the friendliness of the staff what truly makes this restaurant enjoyable. I am quickly becoming a regular and am consistently impressed with their customer service, and dedication to their clientele. I have had to send a dish back on ONE occasion, for VERY common reasons in the restaurant industry and did not only receive (unnecessary) repeated apologies and a gift certificate, as well as the dish being taken off the tab. A single apology would have satisfied me! They make countless "above and beyond" efforts to earn & keep business. Their efforts and flexibility are recognized and appreciated!! Buffets are my absolute favorite. Usually a hit or miss most times. This place is new and I decided to try it out. Food looked great. Pretty decent variety of things to try. This is the former Yangtze Restaurant. My family and I were regulars at Yangtze for years. ~ Had lunch here with my Mom for the first time on Monday, 2/27/17 since the take over and remodeling inside. We were both like "Wow" - VERY impressed with everything about it!! From the atmosphere inside, and the buffets, to the quality of the food which is excellent, and so is the wait staff. It is clean, and no more "cold" bathrooms ...they are brand new in a new location inside. Classy but casual . No more open dining, more private and intimate and more seating & dining areas, because they took the lounge out, but just have a Bar. ~ There is also still a menu to order from if you're not into the buffets. I have not seen the menu yet, but to my understanding, you can still get Pick 4 meals, and Combination plates? Wouldn't hurt to ask. The buffets have everything from Sushi, to Chinese, to American, Desserts, and a Full Salad Bar. SO WORTH IT in my opinion, whatever the buffets price!! We will definitely continue to be regulars here as well!! read more

We've been there about 5-6 times now and after this last time, we won't be going back. I ordered fried rice with peppers and onions and got dry, overcooked rice with small amount of onions and sprouts. I was disappointed as I was so looking forward to this. UPDATE....on the plus side, the waitstaff seemed to be more pulled together. Our waitress was very nice, attentive, and dressed properly. The food was consistently okay. Not good or bad, but okay. The problem is, there are some very good Asian restaurants within a mile or so. If you are interested in all you can eat quantity, this is the place for you. Wanted to see what the attraction was, the food was awful, looked like yesterdays lunch. Got there at 3:40, was told if we had lunch we had to leave at 4:15, the dinner food was coming out at 4:00 PM. We left and came back, sorry we did, the buffet goes up $4.00 at 4 PM, they add some cold leathery stuff they call steak and top round they call prime rib! Went here for the first time and it will be my last. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated while we sat there in disbelief that 3 different servers looked at us as continued to chatter we had finally got seated and waited for our server to grab our drink order. Finally we decided that we would grab our food and come back. After getting to our table and eating 90% of our meal our waitress came to grab our drink order. We ordered our drinks and again waited for several minutes to receive them. After it was all said and done. We sat waiting patiently for our check. Our check came out and it was incorrect, waitress was very pushy and sat there standing for our payment. My friend and I went there on Saturday, arriving at 3:38PM. We were told that we could not be seated until 4:30. Lunch ends at 3:30 and they would not start dinner service until 4:30. We (along with 2 other parties) were not willing/able to wait, so we all left. They need to find another way to separate the lunch and dinner services. Remodeling looked great and staffs were friendly. They have a lot of variety on their buffet bars. But the food they serve are OK at best.
