A really solid Japanese restaurant for NH! I've also been to the Portsmouth location; this location had the same quality with a chiller atmosphere (maybe because it's a little dimmer in there?). The menu has a ton of options for every taste, and is very fresh. I opted for dumplings and sushi, and my partner and friend got noodles. Our server was friendly and attentive and our food came out quickly. It was really busy when we arrived; it's in a good location in a strip mall with a lot of foot traffic. I was a little skeptical about this place, especially because their reviews are all over the place. We walked in. We were a little bit early. Luckily we got sat down right away. I was a little nervous about the waitress because she didn't really seem to be patient at first, but she started to be very nice. I ordered the chicken hibachi with noodles and rice and both of them are really good. I think next time I would probably just get the rice but it was good. David lacked personally, enthusiasm and most importantly he did not seem to know what he was doing and screwed up a couple of our orders. I saw him leaning against the door frame at the end of the shushi counter and it looked like he was daydreaming or something, we had been waiting for a item and it was sitting on the sushi counter. I got his attention and he finally went and got the order. Some one came around and asked if everything was ok, I explained to him the problem and he pretty much said "Ya we are aware of his short comings but help is hard to get so we work with what we have". Well I've been here twice in the last month and unfortunately the same thing both times. Poor/rude service. The waiter also had the audacity to continue to utter "Americans" and shake his head when we would order sushi or appetizers with our entree. We had called ahead to make sure they could accommodate a birthday at 6pm they told us that 6:30 would work better. We all were there by 6:30, but they refused to seat us until 7. We had patrons who were told "no drink" when trying to just order a cocktail. He didn't check I.D, didn't provide explanation just the "no drink" remark. We had 2 people at the table order coconut shrimp. After the second person ordered he replied "no shrimp" and didn't put the order in. Honestly really enjoyed this place before but now , I won't be returning. The clear prejudice they hold toward Americans (where there business is located) is ridiculous.
