Im a very HAPPY & satisfied Customer!! I was referred by Duncan Motors to speak with Greg to get my clutch replaced. Once Continental diagnosed my car... I received a call from Tony who was very polite, honest and informative about my vehicle status. Greg &Tony were very patient with me while I had to make some financial decisions & on rather to just trade in vehicle. I agreed to get my car fixed and it was ready that same day. Unfortunately, I had more than 1 thing wrong within the clutch which cost me more than what I had. Greg helped me out by allowing me not only to pick my car up but paying in 2 installments. I was truly blessed!! Not many companies go out their way to take a risk financial and allow customers to make payments. I have thought long and hard about what to say to the people who work at this site. I will never recommend to anyone to ever take their vehicle to this business. I sincerely hope that none of you are parents of teenagers and you never have to go thru what I went thru doing business with you and spending exorbitant amounts of money to get your car fixed. No one will ever be completely satisfied when your transmission go's. I purchased a rebuilt transmission for my 2003 accura mdx. Transmission worked but was a bit rough in shifting. They offer a one year warranty so I went back and they fixed the problem and have had no problems for over a year. Overall satisfied. read more

Very friendly folks, but do not how to fix a transmission. My torque converter (maybe) needed to be replaced and a Grade 2 rebuild. NEVER corrected the issue. Brought it back 2 more times, still did not fix the issue. spent $1250.00 and then another $300 and change on 2 broken motor mounts? I knew of 1 bad one, definitely not 2. Finally took it Bucholtz who fixed the car but it cost me another $830. Would like to see about getting a refund or a partial refund! I don't like to pay work when the issue is not resolved. For the money I have paid out, I don't even have a new transmission! Feel taken advantage of and cheated. read more

My daughter had her transmission done here in January 2018 the fast talking owner said he owned all the continental transmission shops in area lie number 1 after some research he only owns hertel Ave store.The 2nd lie he would have it done in 3 days. 10 days later we get vehicle back filthy missing change only $7 but it's the point.I brought vehicle back twice because of tranny codes they clear computer next day light comes back on finally I trade vehicle in stay away. read more

Quick and courteous service. My truck was fixed the same day (a Saturday) I called and brought it in. I was referred by a friend in the automotive field and Kevin made sure I was taken care of. My truck drives like new again! I thought I was going to pay an arm and a leg for the repairs but was pleasantly surprised on how low it was. Had my transmission on a 2003 lexus rx 300 rebuilt back in august and the axle loosened up and caused damage to the tranny case, they stood behind there warranty and were very understanding about it. Was very happy with the service and how they went out of their way to make a bad situation easier to handle, especially Greg !! read more

Do not take your vehicle to this shop. I was told that my commercial van would be done on the same day. 4 days went by and they were still giving me excuses. Among the lies were : the one we put in did not work, the second one put in did not go into reverse, we special ordered a part for over night delivery, the employee we asked to come in on Sunday did not come in and was reprimanded. When I got my van back it had more problems. It now has an exhaust leak. When I took the van back to them to fix exhaust they parked it in the rear of the building where someone broke my passenger window and stole more than 3500 dollars worth of tools. Greg had my window fixed and indicated that his insurance company would replace my tools. When I gave him a list of tools accompanied with receipts he basically called me a liar. I have not heard from them since. The transmission is leaking fluid and my exhaust system is not working properly. Police told me that this shop is visited frequently for all kinds of shady reasons. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY REASON.!!!! read more

Arrogant, rude, disrespectful owner. He was texting the whole time instead of looking at me. I was told one thing over the phone, but dealt an entirely different deal in person. Not only that, but he has a terribly superior and aloof attitude. Really, you're no better than anybody because you own some run down, subpar collision shop. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Friends of mine have taken their cars here and had similar complaints. Not only is the owner totally unprofessional, but employees can be heard yelling obscenities while working in the back. Take your hard earned money somewhere else. read more

Had a transmission put in and for 5 months i had to bring back multiple times because the car kept stalling and jumping forward.

Do not take your car here! I brought mine in after hitting a pothole. They gave me a long list of things they thought were wrong: bent strut, bad axle, spindle, A-arm. After having the car for 5 days they still could not give me an estimate or a plan of action. When I called multiple times to check on it I was frequently put on hold until I was eventually transferred to a voicemail account. My calls were never returned. When I gave up and went to pick up my car with no work done the battery had been drained (it is brand new, one week old) and the hood would no longer close properly. I took my car someplace else where they informed me the only problem was a bent rim (never mentioned by Continental). It was repaired cheaply and my car has been driving perfectly ever since. read more

I had a wretched experience with this business. AFTER I got my 2200.00 new transmission, the car was back with them 6 times to get it right. Once i even had to get it towed. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. They are nice but they dont know what they are doing. read more

I went to Continental Transmission 2 times. Both visits were one in the same. I experienced great customer service fast reliable service and a smile on both ends of my receipt. I wasn't surprised when I got a random phone call from Continental just to make sure everything was working properly on my vehicle just goes to show they care for more than the money they get handed. Would truly recommend my neighborhood transmission shop to anyone who needed service. A special thanks to the men that worked on my vehicle and especially the owner for taking the time to here all my questions and concerns. Don't go .I took my vehicle here for a few issues and they gave it back to me incomplete, my check engine lights still on, and the manager Steve told me one thing and then did the complete opposite, now I have to go somewhere else to get my car fixed after they charged me for a half ass job, very displeased with the service, they had my car for longer than necessary the first time and when I took it back for them to correct the issues it sat in the lot for two days without being touched so I had to pick it back up, very disappointed, and not worth the price, terrible service, 0 stars read more

Terrible service. They came and got my Jeep in October 2018 said it needed a whole new engine. I paid them $3500 to install I got the car back not even 3 weeks later it started to shut off on me in the middle of traffic driving when me or my brother would drive the car out. Took it back they said they fixed it again but the same problem kept occurring. Now they had my car since Dec. 27th 2018 until now Feb. 22nd 2019 and the problem is still not solved. Now during this time I was calling Paul almost every single day and every single day he asked for my number but never called me for an update. They tried to tell me everything was fixed when I picked it up Feb. 19th I took it and when I start driving massive amounts of smoke started to come from the muffler. I drove it around a little just to see if it'll run like it supposed to and also took it to an inspection place and it failed every test same time the check engine light popped back on. I kept it overnight so I can do another drive test but when I went to pull off in the morning the car just shut off on me and I was stuck in the middle of my street. I have been out of a car almost 4 months now and I'm just really tired of everything that's going on. read more

I brought my 2002 Kia Spectra to Continental Transmission ( On Hertel Ave.) to get my transmission looked at back in June, before I went there I went to another mechanic they told me my transmission needed the fourth gear ratio fixed and the TMC code fixed so Continental said they could repair it they had my car for a few hours called me and told me it was all fixed so I paid them $500 next day it kept doing the same thing, I took the car back every Friday for three weeks (my only day off) it kept doing the same thing , come to find out they never did anything to my car at all I went to get a Inspection sticker and all the transmission codes were still on I went to two mechanics after them and they said they definitely didn't do anything to my transmission....so because of them I can't pass inspection I refuse to go back to them because they took advantage me I will never go back to them and I would never recommend them. read more
