The food is soooooo good! This is a hidden gem for sure. We got catering for my brother's bday party and everyone asked where we got the food from. The meat is full of flavor and juicy. Beans, rice, salsa, and guacamole are delicious. We drive quite a distance just to order food from here but it is well worth it., especially for the hand made tortillas. I'm going to say it, it's my favorite Mexican restaurant in SD right now. Please don't change anything! So happy I decided to check out Contodo on a whim tonight because I just found my new go-to taco spot! The service was attentive and efficient. I ordered 3 tacos: the carne asada, mar y tierra, and a battered fish taco. They were all so flavorful. The carne asada was juicy and I loved the grilled shrimp and chipotle sauce on the mar y tierra. The battered fish taco was cooked perfectly and not soggy. These are probably the best campechana fries I've ever had. I know they're not in their menu, but when I asked if they could make it, they said yes! Amazing!! The plate is soooo heavy. There aren't enough good food options within the neighborhood, so we were excited when we saw Contodo open up. They did a great job with revamping that space into a new staple of the community. We ordered a few different items: the Surf & Turf, grilled fish, and poblano tacos and a bean burrito. They were all delicious and everything tasted really fresh. We also tried their horchata and it extremely delicious. The customer service was also top quality. We have only positive things to say about our experience and are excited for Contodo to join the neighborhood. This place is great. While menu options can be considered a little light on variety the flavor makes up for that. The meat is seasoned and can taste more like adobada but I actually enjoy that. Ive tried the California and I add beans inside as a personal preference in my burrito, but what was really unexpected and delicious was their nachos with carne asada. The pido de Gallo tastes so fresh. The salsas have a kick to them even the green. I'm dropping off a star only because I haven't tried enough items to give them a full 5. Don't let the sketchy Skyline parking lot deter you--inside its clean and modern and the staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable (for these days) and the food came out pretty quickly. There's nowhere to eat indoors, and they have some outdoor seating but it's not a very good view. Fine in a pinch if you can't wait to eat! I will be trying out other menu items soon! read more
