Got a large pepperoni today. First time here and wow, was I impressed! This is a top tier pizza -- easily among the very best I've had after trying practically every other pizza place in the Everett area and even the few Seattle places I've tried. The sauce was not overly sweet like a lot of places. The crust was the perfect combination of a chewy bread base with a crunchy, almost fried, crust. The quantity and quality of cheese was of a high caliber -- not like that watery stuff used by chains that start with the letters 'D' and 'P.J.' Our book club met at Conto's for our monthly book club meeting. I'm torn between 3 stars and 4 stars. Decided on 4 stars since the food out shined the service. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Tabs are paid at the front cash register. Conto's isn't ideal for large groups. Conto's doesn't accept reservations. Conto's doesn't have a lounge. My bestie and I ordered a bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot for $27.99. I found it odd that the wine was corked in the back rather than at our table. My bestie and I shared the Dinner Salad for $4.59. The Dinner salad was supposed to be just like the Tossed Green Salad but smaller; however, our salad was missing the tomatoes. When I brought this discrepancy to our serves attention she rudely replied that the menu is wrong. Irritating. My bestie and I also shared the small Conto's Own Special Pizza for $18.99: pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, salami, black olives and onions. Our pizza was fantastic. The pizza was definitely the highlight of our dining experience. Our server was rude and abrupt. Overall, Conto's has appetizing food at reasonable prices. Came in for lunch with my spouse on a date and were seated promptly. Service was average. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full and there was plenty of staff. We were given waters immediately but a glass of wine that was ordered upon being seated oddly took 10 minutes. The waitress provided a helpful tip/alternative for salad which was very appreciated. One of us ordered the baked spaghetti and the other ordered the the Italian dip (like a French dip) lunch special. The baked spaghetti was very good as was the sandwich. Unfortunately, there wasn't much sandwich as shown in the picture. Oh well, we didn't need a ton of food, but it would be nice to pay for appropriate portions.
