1st stop for some yummy Mr. Bubbles!
    Steph G.

Mr. Bubbles is no longer for kids! If you don't get the reference, you're probably not an 80's kid that took bubble baths! Our first stop for our girls adventure! Our limo driver had stocked us with a bottle of Mr. Bubbles, sparking wine, to get our party started - which is exactly what it did. We all fell in love...the next thing you know, we arrive at our first stop...and its the Home of Mr. Bubbles :) The husband and wife duo were so sweet! The eight of us have a good time on our own and can be loud, but these two took us in with open arms. Not to mention, River, their handsome dog was super sweet too. Off the beaten path, this winery sits where 3 rivers meet...hence the name of the winery. A little educational tidbit they schooled us on. Their wines were delicious, but nothing topped the Mr. Bubbles for me. My pallet is not as refined as most boughie's would be, so I'm not hard to please. Every tasting I had was delicious, but I do remember really liking their Sav Blanc, which I normally am not a fan of - they've changed my ways! The give a 2% discount if you pay with cash & if you buy 6 bottles or more you also get a discount. I love the adult version of Mr. Bubbles...

Great little winery in Amador County! The winemakers, Stephen and Jamie, and extremely knowledgable and put great thought into their award-winning wines. Their Tempranillo is a Double-Gold and not to be missed. They also have a phenomenal Rhone Blend. Put this winery on your Amador rotation! It's a little bit removed from the crowds down the road, but worth the 5 minutes further to check it out. Cheers!

Stopped here on our way to Plymouth...he owners were both there with their beautiful golden retriever pups! We sampled all of their delicious wines and we were even encouraged to sample with pairings from ice cream to sherbert...we bought the port wine which was so smooth and delicious! Gonna entertain some friends when we get back home with this!!! They even recommended more stops along our way! So great full for the tips! Such nice people!!!

In my opinion, they are doing so many things to enhance the wine tasting experience, it could blow away the competition. Examples are as follows: 1. Rebuilding, refinishing and updating the tasting room and facility. 2. Hiring the former Sous Chef from Taste restaurant to create food offerings/pairings and provide a small bite sample with wine tasting. 3. Display unique and unusual art in and around the property. (They have seven full size panels from the Berlin Wall adjacent to the tasting room.) 4. Staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. 5. The wine pricing is reasonable when compared to the quality. 6. Both the food and wine are excellent. That said, I think the one possible stumbling point could be their attempt to blend in their east coast sister wines and styles with this region. It might be an interesting idea, but I am uncertain people locally will appreciate or understand the effort. The Amador wine region is not Napa Valley, and I don't think it possesses the international appeal, notoriety or demographics that will support the concept of bi-coastal wines. In any event, we will return to further experience the ongoing evolution of this remarkable winery.

I had to show them the email confirmation. It was fine and we were still able to sit down right away. The inside wine tasting room is kind of small but the outdoor patio and area makes up for it. It is quite big and open. I think someone can host an outdoor concert or a wedding. We got to taste about five type of wines (Sauvignon Blanc and few blended red wine). They were all good. I particularly like the 2020 Interlude and purchased a bottle for my sister. We also got to sample from their gallery collection library club that's like 20+ years old ( I forgot the exact year) and that was special. They also have dumplings and spring rolls for purchase. I skip that because I wasn't sure if that would go with the wine. We bought some cheese with us and we had that with our wine. Of course, we asked for permission before bringing in our own cheese and crackers. The gentleman that served us was really nice and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and wine was poured at a good pace. I do want to mention that most winery at Amador will comp at least one tasting with purchase, but not at Di Arie. If you're not a member, be prepared to pay the full wine tasting fee per person.

They did their pairings with a Mediterranean lunch. This was also amazing. They also providdd a tasting of their more recent wines, 2019 Sierra Legend! It's a Terri blend of Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Syrah and Primitivo! The host and hostess were all very friendly and knowledgeable! And of course to meet and chat with the wine maker himself, Chaim, was a wonderful treat! The grounds were small, but very cute and relaxing. It made for a warm, friendly ambiance! Of course we walked away with a case of the Sierra and the 3 OG vintage wines! We're definitely coming back in a few weeks. Thank you Di Arie!

Apparently, this is the related winery to Villa Toscano located nearby, which we had previously visited. Once again, I found myself a fan of this place also! It too, is surrounded by eye pleasing countryside views, with lovely ponds, fountains, flowers and comfortable seating areas along the outdoor patios. The entrance opens into a large room where the tasting counter is at the far end. But before getting there, you are tempted on the way over to browse the retail area which features home decor, artwork, designer accessories, and clever wine connoisseur gifts. The walls are decorated with assorted flags and a family style crest over the focal point of the wine tasting bar. The wines offered on the wine tasting list were similar to what we had tried before at Villa Toscano. But we ordered another $5.00 flight that included our favorites along with a few we hadn't tried yet. We enjoyed the flavor variations, but had a hard time deciding on what to purchase, so we went outside for a while to take in the scenery and discuss which ones we liked the best. Bella Piazza also offers a wine club membership that includes discounts on wine, other products and a free lunch buffet every weekend. This is another nice little winery to spend time with family and friends!
