Sales Manager, John T was very helpful and answered all our questions for the upcoming project. Jaclyn, Timm and Keaton and staff were also very attentive to our needs. They handled the majority of the administrative details that involved our HOA and that was helpful. Minor delays were with town inspections and NV Energy. All in all, everything ran smoothly and we were very satisfied working with Sol-Up!

I received an initial response from Destiny the next morning (3/20), which was great. They asked questions to be able to build a quote which I answered right away. She then said that they have a showroom and I asked the hours it was open. I did not commit to any appointment at the showroom. She followed up with me again in the afternoon on Friday, but I was unpacking so I didn't respond. I assumed since I answered all the questions that she would email me the quote. I didn't hear anything back so I went forward with Ion Solar (for multiple reasons, primarily pricing and equipment). I received a call from Destiny yesterday (3/27) asking if I'd like to come in and review the quote. I explained that since I hadn't heard back from her I already moved forward with Ion, she thanked me and that was that. Or so I thought. She then told me that her manager wanted to earn my business and be reached out. See screenshots. This manager is condescending as hell.

I wanted to post a quick follow-up to my earlier review. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.

He has over 10 years in the industry and makes a compelling case to be able to push back the economic control of the local utility company. Installers were friendly and courteous also. Dustin did a follow-up after the install that solidified their professionalism to me. Definitely recommend these guys for your solar. Obviously do your research when it comes to companies but many are so similar, it just comes down to who gives you a reasonable rate and has the best guarantees and ultimately service.

I cannot say enough good things about Kris at Solar Guys of Nevada…read more I inherited a mess from a solar company that went out of business -- my system was offline, communication wasn't working, and I had no clear path to getting it fixed. It was incredibly frustrating. Kris stepped in and has gone above and beyond to help me untangle everything. He has been to my house multiple times, troubleshot every angle, followed up consistently, and never once made me feel like my situation was "too complicated." He genuinely cares about getting it right. Even when we hit roadblocks, he didn't give up. He kept digging until we had answers and progress. What stands out most is his integrity and persistence. He communicates clearly, shows up when he says he will, and takes real ownership of the outcome. That's rare. If you're looking for someone knowledgeable, responsive, and committed -- especially if you're dealing with an inherited or complicated solar issue-- call Kris. He's building something great with Solar Guys of Nevada, and based on my experience, this is exactly the kind of business you want to support. Highly recommend.
