Cook Out milkshake flavors - HOLY ^}*#%{! - sooo many!! Just had the Seasonal (Jul-Aug) Watermelon Shake - SO GOOD GET IT!
    I C.

REVIEW IS ONLY FOR COOK OUT'S SEASONAL WATERMELON SHAKE (only available July - August!!!) - mmmm mmmmm goooooood!! I had driven by Cook Out and saw the sign for their Watermelon Shake and just HAD to try it, it sounded so good! And it did not disappoint! Thick, rich and creamy but not too thick that you needed a spoon to enjoy it. Just the right consistency to drink through a straw with LOADS OF CRUSHED WATERMELON IN THE SHAKE AND TONS OF WATERMELON FLAVOR. Went through the drive thru and that was the only thing I ordered. $4, one size - WORTH IT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Only give me 6 cheese curds with a meal and no bbq sauce like I ask for very disappointed

    Nasty hamburger

I ordered a burger tray and this is what I got after I went in and told them they got my order wrong he was trying to charge me for their mistake.. said that I ordered a jr hamburger like really??? He argued with me and then finally gave me my money back and I gave him the food back!!! Will NEVER go there again DONT RECOMMEND

me and one of my friends came in and ordered a tray and for our sides we asked for a chicken wrap and when we got it they gave us a cajun wrap instead i went back up there to get a new one and the lady in the back yelled for a cajun with no cheese and i said no i just want a chicken wrap with no cheese and she told me that it was different in the back compared to up front which she was rude about and when we got it it looked the same as the other one i'm assuming it's cajun cause it was spicy.

a person holding a hamburger and a pita

I ordered a big double burger and they gave me this BS (didn't even ask what I wanted on it). Aside from taking 55 minutes in line.

    Walkin tacos!!!

Talk about hospitality!!! I told the gentleman at the drive thru window about how we had the walk-in tacos in king NC and explained how phenomenal they were he went above and beyond to organize the modifications AND THE WALKING TACOS ARE AMAZING!!!

Did my best to show the hair but it is approx 8 inches long and disgusting.

It's a lot better than the one from my hometown. The food was great and the server was very polite and made me want to come back again.

The Cellar is one of those restaurants where you might wonder, "Do they have ...?" And the answer…read morewill probably be, "Yes, they do have that on the menu." They have gyros, meatball subs, pizza, burgers, crab cakes, kabobs, chicken parmesan and lots more. I get a little squinky when I see a multiple-page menu with lots of random foods on it. But I visited with a group, and so I was locked into this place, whether I liked it or not. A quick internet and Yelp search told me that the things to get at The Cellar are the Greek gyro and the pizzas. I didn't want a whole pie just for myself, so I ordered the gyro. The Greek gyro was really good! It is lamb and beef in a pita, topped with tzatziki, lettuce, onion and tomato. All of the veggies were super fresh, and the pita was warm and pillowy. It's served with chips and a pickle. They actually have quite a few Greek or Mediterranean-adjacent items on the menu. One of the people in my group ordered the Black & Blue Salad, which is basically a salad with steak and bleu cheese on it, plus lots of vegetables. It was huge! She ate a lot of it, and it looked like she barely made a dent. When she put the leftovers in the to-go container, she almost needed two containers! It became a running joke that day and for a couple of days afterward about whether or not she actually finished that salad. This is also the location for the 6Pak Bottle Shop, which is basically a liquor store but intensely curated. They have a nice selection of craft beers and wine. There is also a bar downstairs, which I didn't have the pleasure of visiting. Another great thing about The Cellar is that they are open late! Sometimes until midnight, and sometimes until 2 a.m. I guess that makes sense, as they are located basically right across the street from Virginia Tech.

The Cellar has a basement bar. We snagged a few bar seats. The bar server was great. He provided us waters. He quickly took our cocktail orders and made some very delicious cocktails. My sour apple martini was so good that that a second one was in front of me quickly. One of us ordered a full sandwich meal and that sandwich looked humongous and full of meat. We also ordered sides of curly fries. These were fried fresh. It's somewhat of a dark speakeasy vibe. The crowd was tame compared to some of the other bars down the street. We hope to try the full restaurant in our next visit.

I was caught off guard when my friend walked up the stairs to the house because from initial appearance, I wouldn't have thought this was the restaurant! Upon walking in, the host greeted us and told us his name was Dan and that he was the owner of the restaurant! It was really cool to see that the owner is truly passionate about his restaurant and will show up to put in the work, even during the later hours. In terms of the food, I went with the Hungry Hokie which was a mashed potato bowl with with bits of meatloaf and chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese. It also came with a biscuit or cornbread, I opted in with the cornbread. The food was absolutely hearty and had pretty good flavor! The one wish that I had was that it came in a bigger portion as it didn't fully fill me up. If I was in town again, I'd definitely consider going back to try the other items on the menu!

Reserve well in advance during football weekends or special events, such as graduation week. We enjoyed the Tuscan Tortellini ($23): shrimp and chicken sautéed in garlic with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach, herb sauce, cheese tortellini with basil and parmesan. Two of us split the tasty three-lamb-chop special for $36. Several nearby booths were enjoying the Southern Ribs ($23 ): seven slow-cooked, then crispy-fried pork ribs in a BBQ sauce, served with pimento mac-n-cheese, cornbread, and vegetable du jour. In addition to the dinner entrées ($20-$32) and specials ($40), Lefty's has dinner sandwiches under $14 and dinner burgers under $15. Plus flatbread pizzas, $14. Wines by the glass from $8 to $10.50. 24 beers on tap. Cocktails are $9 to $11. Service is fast, efficient, and mostly friendly (ours got a little snippy when we asked about a cocktail order that was slow to arrive, but it was a busy graduation night). Dependable on all counts; we'll be back.
