8/6/22: We stopped by to get a milkshake for my son because Sheetz didn't have any. We went through the drive thru & ordered. Their small size was huge. It was way too much for my son, so he split it with his dad. He loved the flavor. We asked if they offered ice cream by itself and the cashier said they only offer plain vanilla with no toppings. Hmmm. I didn't want a shake & I definitely don't any plain vanilla ice cream. So, I passed. It is a nice new Cookout restaurant with plenty of parking. We will definitely be back. read more

This seems to be a new location for cookout. Located one minute off highway 40 it is convenient to the highway and located next to a Sheetz gas station. Cookout is known for reasonably priced fast food and an extensive shake menu. I enjoyed a burger, cheese bites, chicken quesadilla, come and a chocolate cobbler shake. Drive thru was so fast the food was ready before I got to the window. Best of all everything was cooked fresh and hot. This location was a step above other fast food locations. read more

I am pretty sure there are other ingredients besides beef, in their burgers. The cheddar burger includes one piece of bacon. They just don't taste right. Liked the sweet tea but it was lukewarm. The foods were so good BUT!!! Important to check on your receipt to make sure everything is right including the price! Because my husband went there to get something food for the family plus he asked for only two drinks. They put an extra drink & charged my husband for it. He didn't realize it till after he got a receipt. They only gave him two drinks.. so, where's other extra drink??? They took an advantage of my husband. That's so wrong and unprofessional. Purchased a Chicken Quesadilla yesterday for my son ... When he opened it from the foil and went to take a bite a giant silverfish fell from it . Food was good, that's where it ends. The drive through associate at jones sausage road location named Melissa could neither speak or understand English. She got our burger orders wrong 3x. Her English was so bad that both of us in the car kept asking "what did she say?". We repeated the order to her a number of times. Still got it wrong. We had to pass the burgers through the window a number of times because she could not understand the order. We asked for the manager and she came back to the window with attitude because Melissa told her what she thought we had ordered. They finally got the order right but when we asked for the manager again they told us to get out of the drive thru line. I guess they had a lot more orders behind us to screw up. This was my 2nd time visiting this location, 1st I went to the window, no issues. This 2nd time we went inside bc we intended to sit inside. Got in and there were 3 women at the counter, not ordering but having a lot of conversation w/ individuals behind the counter. Once we made it to the counter the young lady that was taking our order couldn't focus long enough to pay attention to us bc she was so enthralled in the other women's conversations. At one point I thought it was some issues going on bc the conversations seemed heated. Every one of them including the individuals behind the counter was so loud. I started to realize that they worked there bc they were asking for the manager and at one point while we were still at the register, the young lady helping us stopped to hug one of the woman. He then came out and was just as loud. It was soooooo unprofessional. Granted I realize I was at cookouts but honestly that shouldn't be an excuse or the norm. So we ordered and the young lady taking our order who never smiled or seemed interested in taking our order didn't say anything like "ok ill be right back w/ your order or I'm going to make your milkshakes" so we stood there confused and at that point I told my husband we aren't eating inside, this place is ridiculous. A young man brought our food, who was very courteous and I told him so but our milkshakes weren't done, the girl looked like she didn't know what she was doing. Finally our shakes were ready, but instead of handing them to us, she put them behind the drink machine (I guess I turned away for a minute and didn't notice), the manager was standing right there and made no attempt to give them to us. The young girl noticed we were still waiting and then hurried over from making more shakes and handed them to us, again not sure why she didn't just do that initially as we were standing there the entire time. The attitudes of the women at the window between the times of 5pm-12am are awful, then I get the food and all of it taste stale and old.

We left RDU at midnight after a late flight and just wanted something to eat. Thinking "cookout is always open late" we'll go there. After trying two other area locations we made it here. Thankfully it was open, service was short & it took a long time for them to take our order once at the speaker, but the food came out quick, correct and hot. read more
