The ice cream is New Zealand style soft serve, which is jam packed with fruit. I tried the blueberry basil which was absolutely delicious. They also offer other more traditional style ice cream like cookies and cream. The nice little touch they add is putting biscoff cookie or other cookie with every scoop. The cute store is worth a peruse to look at cook books, plants, and other perfect giftables! And save some time to look at the farm animals. There's a herd of friendly alpacas, a coop of chickens (and a free roaming rooster) and even some goats. The animals are so cute and friendly! I will say the parking lots get kind of full, but there's definitely a good amount of spots. You might just need to be a little patient.

When you arrive there is plenty of parking located in front of the shop and off to the side. The farm feels like it a boutique, modern, animal experiences, and elevated eats/drinks. To walk into the farm you'll proceed through the middle of the complex where there's a second level to the right and a market to the left. We first checked out the animal exhibits which included alpacas, goats and chickens. I had never seen alpacas up that close. Then headed over to the food truck for some soft serve ice cream. I ordered the New Zealand style blueberry basil in a waffle cone which was excellent. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by holl & stone for ice cream and everything else it has to offer.

They did offer to warm a few items by microwave and remade 2 of the steaks. It was an extremely rough experience. On a positive note - the bathrooms were cleaned.

She was great. Quick and efficient with a smile on her face, which I always appreciate service with a smile . We got the cowboy ribeye, chicken tenders, a cheeseburger and the strawberry salad. We had fries, baked potato and the grilled corn as aides. I ordered the steak medium well, and it was more well done but not a problem. The restaurant was clean and well kept. Sam made sure our beverages were always full. I got a Patròn Dragonfruit margarita which was delightfully delicious . I will definitely go back and ask for Sam's section. A good experience over all.

If you are looking for the nearby museum, that is the Randleigh Heritage Museum. It is a little further up the road, but appointments are usually required. Howling Cow has parking right outside, just watch the signs, as a few spots don't allow parking because of loading zones. Pets are not allowed, so leave them at home. Howling Cow sells ice cream, milk, sodas, water, cheese and other merchandise, such as clothing and water bottles, inside. The coolers are filled with to-go items, and there is even a separate check-out. If you are looking to enjoy your order there, you order at the register. They are a cashless facility, so remember your credit or debit card. You can get cones, cups, sundaes, and milkshakes. There are a few tables inside, and if you prefer to sit on the covered porch, there are tables and even some rocking chairs. The cows sometimes roam the pastures on cooler days. This visit, I went with the chocolate peanut butter ice cream brownie sundae. I wasn't expecting it to be so big and have as many of the toppings as it did. I couldn't finish it, but they had tops to put on it so you could take it to go. These were near where you pick up your order, so it's easy to grab one if you need one. If you are looking for quality ice cream with a variety of flavors in a peaceful setting, check out Howling Cow.

But there is absolutely nothing educational about it -- it's just an ice cream shop. They don't accept cash (legal tender), and there are no signs anywhere telling you that beforehand. They also won't let you sample flavors, so if you end up disliking what you ordered, too bad. Meanwhile, they had one employee working the register while five others just stood around. They're not pet friendly at all either -- no complimentary pup cups, just $1 for a tiny squirt of whipped cream in a cup. I ordered the cookie dough ice cream, which was advertised as cookie dough flavored ice cream with cookie dough chunks. What I got was basically plain vanilla ice cream with maybe three tiny pieces of cookie dough in the entire serving.
