Tastes like a burger from an actual cookout. And a burger for under $5 can't beat it.

This place is so great and the prices are insanely cheap. The vibe of the inside of the restaurant is comparable to any typical fast food joint and you just order at the counter. The food came out really fast and the staff was nice.

Stopped by here after attending a concert at the arena and the whole arena seemed to be here as well. The drive thru line circled around the building and the line inside was just as bad. There were three workers manning the registers and so the line moved pretty quickly. The workers were definitely not having it though as they all looked mad to be there... I ordered a plain cheeseburger with fries and my sister had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and an Oreo shake. It took about 20 minutes until our number was called out. It was chaotic in there as everyone seemed to still be rowdy from the concert. The workers were all stressin. We picked up our food and we decided to eat back at the hotel. My burger was decent as it had flavor and was cooked well. They added bacon to it even though I asked for it to be plain. My sister said her burger was really good and she really liked the shake. The fries were a little to soggy for my liking. Overall the food wasn't bad. The service was crappy though.

This was the only late night food that was open when we were in the area. This is basically a fast food joint that I've never heard of. From what I understand there's a few locations but not many. It's a standard hamburger and hotdog joint with a few other items like bbq and chicken sandwiches. Apparently they're also known for their milkshakes. I went for their combo meal which included a chicken sandwich, a corndog, french fries, and a drink. I decided to try an Oreo shake for my drink. It was OK but nothing to rave about. In fact, all my food was just OK. The thing that struck us most about this place was The ordering and pick up process for your food. You ordered at a counter, but picked up at a different counter. But the way the restaurant was laid out you had to walk around a section of tables. If you go to the order counter, they won't give you your food, even if nobody's there, they make you walk around to the other section of the counter. Odd. My friend tried an old-fashioned float and he liked it so much, he got a second one. If you're hungry, this place works...especially late!

Fast food quality, only good for when you're drunk. The buns were soggy and lacked flavor.

Today was my second time here :) I had a "regular burger" with tomato, bacon, and cheese. My bacon seemed to be undercooked but the flavor of the burger was good, tasted even better with some of their buffalo sauce. I also had a small order of their "cajun fries" and they were delicious! (Adding the buffalo sauce on them made them taste even better as well). Lastly I had a small vanilla milkshake, last time I came here I remembered it being so thick that I couldn't even drink it... so this time I specifically asked for it to be more on the liquid side, lol but no luck today, it was thicker than thick. The taste is good but its not drinkable so grab a spoon! The service seems to always be friendly and helpful here, and the restaurant is big enough for groups.

Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted with mutli-color barriers to route you around the registers. It was an odd layout. The food was prepared pretty quickly. However, the food tasted like it has been sitting around for awhile. The burger patty was also very small - about half the size of the bun. The price was the best thing about Cook Out.

First time there. Son recommended and they met my expectation from all his "hype". Very good, hot, fast, very reasonable price.

We've been to The Finch three times now--twice sitting at the bar and once at a table. We…read moredefinitely prefer the bar, but I think that's just because we're bar people! The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!

Visited Finch while exploring The Gulch neighborhood. I didn't have a reservation, but I was able…read moreto get seated right away, which was nice. I really liked the decor, the space was very pretty and had a great atmosphere. I ordered the blackened redfish. It felt very heavily seasoned , almost like the seasoning was the main flavor, and I couldn't really taste anything else. The seasoning was delicious, but I would have liked to experience more of the actual dish and ingredients. The sauce was good, and the mashed potatoes underneath were a nice touch. Service was okay, although I would have appreciated being checked on a little more often. I also asked for a cup of sparkling water but received and was charged for a large bottle, even though I was dining alone.
