It was started by Ross and Melanie Canter, a couple who was passionate about baking. I quite like the origin story, Ross is a writer who found the most joy baking cookies when he had writer's block and I'm glad they decided to open this brick and mortar. Cheetos Cookie: I told my friend to not order this, not because it sounded weird, that's normally the kind of stuff I like to try, but because we were already full and I didn't want her doordashing cookies and wasting her money. Luckily she ignored me and we were able to try these cookies. You get a little bit of Cheeto flavor along with sweet and it was not as odd tasting as it sounds, not sure if I would repeat though. I was introduced to these cookies from a gift and I bought a dozen as a gift to people who loved them. So many flavors to choose from, with several gluten-free options. Some flavors change often, too. Cookies are $3 each or $33 per dozen. All the cookies taste fresh and are visually appealing. Tried the Banana Creme Blondie. Great banana taste and crunchy sugar on top but it's very small, about 4 bites. The Cheeto cookie didn't have much flavor but I like their nostalgic flavors, like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and awesome S'mores. Service was great and there's a lot of metered parking. There are a few seats inside. The interior is simple - white brick walls with a huge logo on the wall. Will definitely try more flavors soon. How have I not reviewed Cookie Good yet? These cookies are excellent and they have the best gluten-free cookies around! FIVE stars. They have a bit of a gluten-free variety and if you call in advance, they will put whichever ones you'd like aside for you. Seriously, it's hard to tell they're gluten-free. I used to eat the regular ones and those are excellent too. I'd tell you which gluten-free and regular cookies I like best but real talk, I haven't had one there that I haven't really liked. Rule of thumb for me, if it looks good and has the things you usually like, you'll probably like the cookie. Street parking is metered. That can be tricky but park around the corner and walk (still metered but usually a better chance at finding a spot). It's out of my way and I need to be in Santa Monica to stop by but when I am, it's worth it. They people who work at Cookie Good have always been nice and helpful. SIX STARS This might be the best cookie shop on Yelp. In this shop lies a very dangerous potential for addiction as they switch up their flavors every couple weeks. Luckily, the delectable flavors available on the day that I went will continue to be available through the month for the holidays. They are too good to miss out on. I found Cookie Good through Gold Belly, but when I realized they were local to LA, I contacted the shop directly about a last minute order for my company as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month. They were able to help me very quickly and easily for a same-day order + delivery. Everyone I spoke with (including the delivery service) was so helpful and nice, and the cookies turned out amazing. The alternative companies I looked into charged way more for decorated sugar cookies, but the cookies from Cookie Good came in a large variety (that could have been customized to fit my needs) and included a donation to breast cancer research.
