Was told no idea why that's there we dont have truffle this month - a bit of a tough luck attitude from Carmen. She's a real bad hire for this once prized establishment. Time to find a new employee to run this shop. Update: Carmen came up to us to say "that for the truck". No apology, just a rude gesture (almost seemed like she was forced to come over). At the request of my buddy, Mark, I rolled with him to a church off Vermont Ave in Los Angeles where a cavalcade of trucks had assembled in the parking lot. Nestled among them was the B Sweet Dessert Truck. I really just wanted to get out of the house for a bit, not really eat myself out of shape. But Barbara's delicious desserts proved otherwise. I 'sampled' Mark's Red Velvet Bread Pudding, and by sampled I mean I ate half.. It was worth it. Every damn spoonful. I don't care if I have to work out until I'm 50 it was worth it. In fact I ended up buying some for my wife who was at work. I told Barbara she was an ICU RN and she was kind enough to let Grace try their Red Velvet Truffles. Barbara was so friendly and personable that even if I was diabetic I would tried her treats anyway. I ended up going back one more time for their Banana chocolate Bread Pudding....Loved it...Red Velvet was more my forte but this was delicious as well. All in all I have to give a big recommend to this truck...it was amazing tasting bread pudding so delicious...I don't even really like bread pudding...but I do now...this one anyway.... read more

For $4, I got this surprisingly large loaf that also seemed to be warm when they handed it to me. It was super moist and the chocolate chips were still melted and delicious. Last night we were at Eat See Hear event in Santa Monica, so many good trucks and this was THEE ONLY DESSERT truck which was amazing! Went to preview what they had before getting dinner so I can make sure to save room for dessert. The variety was very simple. I had my eye on there soft but BIG chocolate chip cookie with Ganache. This sucker was HUGE! When I went back to make my purchase before the movie, I asked the very nice friendly gentlemen what would recommended between the red velvet bread pudding or the cookie. He asked if I was sharing or by myself, I told him definitely sharing, but I told him I had my eye on the cookie. He told me the cookie said "I tell people to get their first choice they had their mind set too." And WAS HE RIGHT! The cookie was AMAZING! First time having dessert from a Food truck!! read more

With so many choices out there of terrific deserts, I was amazed that B Sweet was able to do such a good job with high quality products, incredible flavor and provide a bakery on wheels. The personnel are friendly, prices are fair and deserts are great. I rate them 5 stars because they made me a believer. I dislike bananas in a BIG way. Then the woman on the truck said, "try our banana chocolate chip bread", I say "pass" she said if I didn't like it she would take it back. That was more than fair. My husband and I were on our way to a cafe to satisfy our sweet tooth and spotted this truck in J-town that claimed to have the best dessert in LA. We had to find out for ourselves and stopped by. The person helping us was very friendly and gave us extremely generous samples. We opted for the banana chocolate bread pudding, which was big enough to feed probably 4 people and absolutely delicious. What an absolute great and amazing way to spend a Saturday night. I tried they're dessert variations at Indulge LA and overall they do a pretty decent job of cakes and breads. They had a special chocolate chip banana bread that really did it for me. Hot with a lot of flavor. The cupcakes were a mixed bag with their bacon maple cupcake that was fresh and if I had one complaint about it, it was it didn't have enough bacon flavor. Guess you can never be without enough bacon, can you? The rest were decent with the only loser of the bunch being one of the most basic, their Vanilla which was really dry. And surprising since the rest were very moist. Especially the bacon. They do a lot of marketing the truck. Their business cards have QR codes and they actually parked their truck outside the Olympic Collection after Indulge so people could purchase cakes and breads to take home. Well played, B Sweet. im not much of a dessert person but we were walking down sawtelle after dinner and passed this truck. Some people in our group wanted to get dessert so we stopped and looked at the menu when a friendly women asked if we wanted samples of bread pudding. She brought us generous samples of any flavor we wanted. I opted for the choc chip banana bread pudding and it was amazing. possibly the best bread pudding I've ever had. We were all raving about our respective flavors. My friend also ordered the red velvet truffles. Holy crap they were dense, but delicious. I'm sad I was too full from dinner to get more bread pudding but next time I see this truck I know what I'm getting. read more

I do not usually do the dessert trucks. If I want something sweet, I tend to get it in the form of some type of coffee drink. But I was at the Northridge Din Din a Go Go and thought I would meander over there and scope out the offerings. I do always like to try a new truck so I saw the CCBB (chocolate chip banana bread) and since I am a fan of both banana and chocolate, I figured I would give it a try. For $4, I got this HUGE portion (loaf) of it. I was expecting a slice, not a loaf. Talk about large portions. I shared it with 6 people and there is still a piece of it left over. Okay the pup gt a piece of the banana bread WITHOUT the chocolate chip. I have to say, this was very, VERY, tasty. I also tried a sample of their CCBB bread pudding and while I am not normally a fan of bread pudding, it was divine. And what a bunch of extremely friendly folks in this truck. Wow! Great Service! I don't know how often I would go to this truck, because as I said, I am not into desserts much... but I will definitely recommend it to other people and bring others to it whenever I can. read more

B sweet is my favorite desert truck! Not just do they have the cutest little truck, and the nicest people on the planet, but their food is DELICIOUS! My current favorite is their cookie dough, just big gobs of raw cookie dough made without the eggs for health safety. Trust me, you don't miss the eggs. Their regular cooked cookies are also delicious : ) I also love their red velvet pops and their very slutty brownie (or something like that). Their banana chocolate chip bread is moist and delicious with just the right balance of banana and chocolate for me, yum! Caught this truck when I happened across this truck at a food truck festival in Venice, and was blown away. There are plenty of other "trendy" sweets out there - macarons, cupcakes, doughnuts, cronuts, whatever. The B Sweet Dessert truck serves up one particular dessert that doesn't get much hype, and they serve it well. - Dat bread pudding is done right. I tried the glazed donut bread pudding (because it was national donut day)... and omg. SO GOOD... so sinfully sweet and rich, but definitely couldn't finish it even with 2 two people sharing. This particular flavor is not the one for people who can't handle super sweet foods. Luckily the bread puddings (and the container it comes in) are friendly - they know this is something you can't finish in one go! I felt like dessert for a change, so I wandered over to this truck and asked what was good. I got something along the standard "Everything is good" line, which is just not helpful at all. However, my eye caught what looked like a cake pop. I asked the not-to-helpful person if that was the case. She looked like I just called her Pharaoh Hound a Doberman. My wife and I were craving something sweet and were walking by this truck during "First Fridays" on Abbott. We had no idea what to order so went and asked the lady what sells the most :). We took the Glazed donut bread pudding and it was delicious. The sweet lady even gave us some advice on how to store the leftovers in the fridge and just heat it in the oven so we dont need to force all that sweetness in one go :)... I was very disappointed with this vendor. I had them come out to my place of work and serve desserts. After speaking to Barb she led me to believe that she had a mobile food truck that does custom desserts made to order! I then sent her an email again asking if it was prepackaged items or if indeed it was custom made to order. I've visited them several times at food truck events. Everything is super rich. Spicy mango cupcake was interesting and good. Maple bacon bread pudding was okay...a little too much for me. Best bread pudding in Los Angeles!!! My family originally found B Sweet Mobile's big food truck and told me how crazy all their desserts were, but I could never catch them at one of their stops. FINALLY I found them (in their new baby truck that they call Lil Angel, so cute) and had a chance to taste a few desserts and... OMG. What we bought: Ice Cream Sandwich- HUGE, and you can tell the cookies were freshly baked. Yum! Chocolate Chip Banana Bread- Super moist, not at all too sweet. Yum! Red Velvet Bread Pudding- THE WINNER! Can't really describe it. You really just need to go try it. It's served hot with a drizzle of frosting. Had the ice cream cookie sandwich, classic, when the truck was at komodo block party. It came off the truck in a very frozen state... And the cookies were the undercooked style. For a large ice cream cookie sandwich for 5$, I might have liked to see something a bit more fresh. But this was a special, not a normal item and perhaps I should have chosen more wisely. read more

The B Sweet Mobile has the BEST DESSERTS! Had the red devil cupcake in a jar, donot, and red devil truffles (thank you for those!). All desserts were moist and fluffy and the frosting was PERFECT (and not too cream cheesy). The prices are very reasonable and the employees are very nice and personable. My only regret is I was so excited for the cupcakes in a jar that I forgot I wanted to try the banana chocolate chip bread...not that I needed it after everything else. Hopefully they will come back to Los Feliz soon so I can get the banana chocolate chip bread...and some of the bread pudding. Desserts are my thing and they get it right! We stumbled across this truck in Japantown. They gave us a sample of red velvet bread pudding, which of course helped to hook us in. The menu wasn't extensive but was certainly adequate. We settled on the red velvet truffles and the green tea cupcake. I delighted in each bite of the green tea cupcake. The frosting was delicious, and the cake was soft and fresh, yet firm (it didn't fall apart), and refreshingly tea flavored. It wasn't too sweet, which I really appreciated. I was convinced to try the red velvet bread pudding served warm. While I only sampled a spoonful,, leaving the rest for a freezer I was thoroughly satisfied. Friendly service, good sweets. My friend Eric (who lives currently in Dusseldorf )and I share a fave LA restaurant, Gjelina, so when he was in town a few weeks ago it was a no-brainer to make a reservation there (luckily I got one, not frequently the case). It happened to be the 1st Friday of the month, when there is some sort of food truck fest monthly on Abbott Kinney. Had we known we probably wouldn't have gone, since it took nearly an hour to get there (from Westwood) because of all the heavy traffic accompanying that event. We were seated near the window, and all during my meal, I could see, right across the street, the B Sweet Dessert Truck. I'm not a truck follower so had never heard of it, but I am a huge dessert fanatic (chocolate is my favorite food group!), so I was extremely conflicted, since I had had my heart set on the delicious Gjelina desserts. Eric suggested I have both, so while we waited for our desserts to arrive, I dashed across the street, into the waiting arms of the very friendly proprietors. I was sooo excited at the marvelous array of truly unique and remarkable treats (cupcake in a cup?! Love it! Red velvet truffles on a stick?! Even better!), but being the religious chocoholic that I am, I went for the Sluttiest Brownie (size of a brick, brownie so moist it's almost like brownie pudding, with a cookie bottom and layers of caramel and VEGETARIAN marshmallow----NEVER happens!). I honestly thought I'd died and gone to heaven, and I never thought I'd say this, but none of the Gjelina desserts could hold a candle (sorry Gjelina, you KNOW I adore you!!!). Before leaving Abbott Kinney, I absolutely couldn't resist another visit to purchase another of those incredible brownies to take home (it didn't last too long), along with the red velvet truffles (ditto) and the medallions of raw cookie dough (double ditto). While chatting with Barb, the owner, as she assembled my package of goodies, I happened to mention how I loved Gjelina and that I'd been there for my birthday the week before, to which her response was to gift me with their specialty banana chocolate chip loaf! I was dumbfounded and flabbergasted. I mean, it's a rarity indeed in this town to meet someone who'll give you a birthday gift the minute they meet you. Needless to say, I took their card and a couple of weeks later ordered some more of those extremely addictive brownies, plus an assortment of cupcakes for myself and my colleagues at Ron Herman. All the desserts disappeared with nary a crumb remaining with alacrity, and were a huge hit. I even shared a couple with some of the other stores, and I was very smugly pleased when the raves came in. One of my co-workers went so far as to say that the cupcake was the best she'd ever had, and I would have to agree. I'm not a huge cupcake fan myself, they tend to be too little for me, I go for the brick-sized brownies or layer cakes, but these cupcakes were truly scrumptious indeed. I was amazed at how good the carrot vegan cupcake was! I'm vegetarian, but tend to avoid vegan desserts because I don't find them as satisfying or delicious as non-vegan ones, but boy is that NOT the case here! I never thought I'd say this, but the vegan carrot cupcake was almost as good as the densely fudgy chocolate one. OK I'm making my mouth water just writing about this! If you find yourself within 100 miles of this truck, run, don't walk there. You'll never regret it....until you have to buy pants a size bigger as a result :-)). read more

B Sweet is about as good as it gets for me. I do not really like sweets, don't like cakes ice cream or cookies but I tried their apple pie bread pudding over 2 years ago and I was hooked! So hooked that I would stalk the truck all over LA and load up on bread pudding (and sometimes like a good stalker would show up like a stray at their kitchen asking for a fix LOL). We have tried everything they offer and have never been disappointed and sincerely disagree that the desserts are too sweet - I find them to be just about right (even for me). I discovered a ton of cool places and events in LA just by following them around. You see, everything about B Sweet oozes the love that Chef Barb puts into everything they put on the menu - her heart and soul go into everything they do and Kurt somehow manages to always have a smile on his face. I love the treats here, but the real treat are the people. Try their apple pie bread pudding and banana chocolate chip bread (and chocolate truffles) and you'll be hooked too! read more

So I'm gonna try to make this is a quick as possible: I ordered the cupcake bar for my office of 30 -- cute idea, bad execution. The DIY cupcake bar came with 4 different frosting options (mint, vanilla, chocolate, lemon) and 12 toppings. Sounds perfect, right? Wrong. Let's run down the strikes, in no particular order: Strike 1: The topping's containers did not have individual lids, but rather were stacked on top of each other to appear as though they were individually sealed. Strike 2: When making the arrangements with Barb (owner), she told me that her delivery person would set up the cupcake station so it would be ready for the guests -- that did not happen; he simply dropped everything off on the table, stacked on top of each other. Strike 3: Communicating with Barb was EXTREMELY difficult; I emailed, called, sent pigeons, and used morse code when trying to confirm our office's order. When she finally responded, it was on the day of the event and I wasn't even sure it was going to happen as I had been trying to process the payment for a few days. Getting a copy of a paid invoice was a MILLION TIMES MORE DIFFICULT. I sent four (4) requests via email and phone calls, after she told me that she would "send one right over" -- it took over a week to receive a response...not even the invoice! Strike 4: The cupcakes. I think they were made for bread pudding and not meant to be cupcakes -- they were SO dense. And it wasn't just an "oh, maybe I grabbed a bad one" kind of fluke...everyone in the office had the same comment. The red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes were all solid, dense, cake masses. So, what started out as a wonderfully cute idea, ended up being an expensive disappointment :( I just wish Kizmit Events had been available that day -- their Kizmit Konfections NEVER disappoint!! read more
