Wonderful local baker with a storefront on Olympic. Ivory is hands on and collaborative. I most recently placed an order for my son's birthday cake about 3 weeks in advance. We aimed for a Lion Guard theme. Her cakes are marvels and it completely met expectations. My son literally ran up to me after seeing it and excitedly whispered "Mommy, my cake is beautiful!" The 2 tier estimated 35 servings but I felt like it served much more, 50 in my opinion but the pieces we cut were on the smaller side so the kiddos wouldn't overload on sugar. I've also ordered custom cookies and cupcakes from Ivory's for a work event and they were great. I didn't love the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, a bit thicker cookie when I prefer flatter cookies with crisp edges, but if you love oatmeal with chocolate chips you might like this one. Literally, 5 days before the wedding, I walked into her shop, nervous that she would say no, but Ivory was so warm and friendly in person and immediately said yes to making a cake on such short notice!! In fact, she not only said that she would make it, but she would also deliver all the way to Malibu! I could not have asked for a better vendor like Ivory for our wedding cake, and genuinely I wish I could have our wedding all over again just to have her cake she even went through my wedding floral PowerPoint that I created and thought about the colors of the fresh flowers to place on the cake! The baked goods are absolutely massive and delicious. My friend got the double chocolate chip cookie, and both of our cookies were sooooo perfectly chewy on the inside, yet crisp on the outside. The cereal bar is childhood in baked good form -- a rice krispy treat with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, and chocolate chips. Absolutely divine. I ate it over a few days with my boyfriend and it still tasted amazing a few days later. Service: Friendly and quick to help us. Ivory is incredible. She's been helping to celebrate our family and holidays for quite a while now (pictured are our 2 most recent celebrations only). Something else I love about her is how easy it is to order anything. For quick last minute cakes, she has options online to choose from in any flavor and the design options are plenty in that you also can choose your color palette for most cakes. For larger scale orders like a desert table, she arrived for setup ahead of time and was on time for takedown. She is professional and cares about her work a lot. I even forgot to checkout online on a small order I placed recently. When I arrived for pickup she didn't approach me with "sorry I don't have you." She rushed out with a beautiful blue cake that she had on hand. Regardless if she'd had that available to me or not, she always has other treats on hand purchase and we surely would've made it work with cupcakes or other treats. Hubby stopped by to pick up some treats and while the snickerdoodle cookie his friend got was very good (according to the friend), the cake and lemon bar he got for us was just not good at all. Lemon bar was huge and heavy - not necessarily a bad thing - and the top did taste like a typical lemon bar (which was good), but it was the crust on the bottom that was inedible. Nearly a half inch thick! And hard! And not thoroughly baked through. I've eaten my share of lemon bars in my life - it's my most favorite dessert snack - and I just could not take more than one bite of this as the crust part was doughy/floury. The cake hubby got - he did not enjoy either. So I took a bite to try and I agreed - way too sweet on the frosting. And the cake part, while soft and moist - was also oily, making it feel heavy. Neither of us took a second bite. Since it's super close to us, we might stop by again to try other items as we want to support local businesses. We hope it's just those items that might not be their best showing. read more

I started ordering from Ivory back in 2022. She is an artist when it comes to decorating and her sweets taste good. But when it comes responding and customer service they're very bad. They never pick up the phone at their shop. I had to text them multiple times for a month to get a reply. Then they asked me to email and said I would get a reply in 3 days, which didn't happen for a week and I haven't heard from them since. As much as I would love to order from them, the lack of responding is just not it. I recommend trying them all by ordering the wedding sampler regardless of whether or not you're getting married. Best lemon bar I've eve had by a landslide. The cookies were soft and felt like a warm hug. The brownies are gluten free which as a gluten lover makes me suspicious BUT they are so delicious and I would have never known, also just the right hint of coffee. The actual bakery looks what you would imagine the best bakery in the world to look like. It's so clean, lots of fresh flowers, and hints of frosting pink. I was interested in getting a chocolate cake for my wedding and heard about the wedding cake boxes for $40 (4 flavors). i am a little confused because I called in and they said one mini cake is $7.50 (which makes the box a rip off??). i walked in and bought the chocolate one i wanted. the cake was good, but i thought it was too much frosting (in a Sprinkles i will eat about 75% if the frosting for reference).
