    Dubai Chocolate Cookie (Filled)
    Sylvie C.

I try not to eat junk food especially if it ain't gonna taste good....... Sorry to report but Cookie Plug as one of them. Placed the order using DoorDash for a pick up when I had a really bad episode of cookie craving. The concept looked interesting and visually appealing when I saw it online. Unfortunately, more than half of the cookies I ordered tasted overbaked, too sweet and greasy. To be more specific, out of 8 cookies I ordered, 6 of them were too hard / too baked, and all of them tasted rather similarly. I thought I had ordered 8 different flavors -- some chocolate based and others non-chocolate themed. The apple pie flavored, velvet cake flavored, and snickerdoodle flavored variants literally tasted all the same to me. Just very sugary, over baked, and bland. I couldn't finish any of it. The velvet cake flavored one in particular looks like purple play doh and tasted like it too. So strange. I don't know if my cognition got primed prior to tasting the item because that's what it reminded me of it or what. The chocolate based cookies were just not worth the calories consuming. The Dubai chocolate cookies were very very very sweet and crunchy. Definitely not worth spending the money for it or the calories eaten. So as much as the presentation of the products were neat and visually appealing, the taste of the cookies didn't convey the coolness or hit the spot. I was just very sorry I wasted nearly $50 on 8 pieces of lousy tasting cookies.

containers that the tiny cookies are packaged in

This location of the cookie chain is located at the far end of the Portola Plaza shopping center (next to Aloha Stacks). I've tried Cookie Plug at other locations and thought they were pretty good. They are known for big, thick, hockey puck sized cookies, soft outside and even softer inside. Once inside I noticed they also have smaller-sized cookie options. I asked the kind fellow what the deal was on the smallest ones and he explained that you can get a sampler of their 12 every-day flavors, 6 in 2 plastic containers. They also have a few rotating monthly flavors but those are not included in the 12-pack of sampler cookies. I decided to go for the 12 little cookies so I could try a bunch of different flavors. The cookies were already packaged in containers so I'm not sure how long they had been sitting. Unfortunately, half were quite hard; one was nearly inedible. I was disappointed. The ones I liked best were Firecracker (s'mores), Pink Elephant (strawberry cheesecake), OG (chocolate chip), and Crunch Nugget (peanut butter chocolate). The others were either just "okay" or "not-so-good". If I came back I would just stick to their large cookies and not bother with those smaller, teeth-busting ones.

    "Keto Calvin"

This has got to be one of the funniest experiences I've had. I spent $40 for 5 cookies Ordered their Keto Calvin... "snickerdoodle" cookie. - $6 for a cookie (before delivery fee). If it's good cookie, totally fine. - This is such a joke of a product it made me laugh. It's 1.5 inches wide and tastes like nothing. A muffin maybe? A plain, I forgot to flavor the muffin, muffin. If it was marketed as a mini keto muffin, I'd be stoked with this product. - if you're expecting a cookie or a snickerdoodle flavor, you're either going to be upset or start laughing.

Got the Dubai chocolate cookie delivered. The cookie itself was large and thick and the extra crunch from the kadayif kept the cookie from feeling overly soft and gooey in the center. While a fun concept, not something I'll be getting again.

Three greasy mismatched boxes for 8 cookies smh ‍
    Kristen N.

I've been to different Cookie Plug locations before, and usually enjoy their cookies, but today was such a disappointment. I ordered 8 cookies, and instead of giving me a proper bag, they just handed me greasy, mismatched boxes. The oil leaked all over my car seat, which was disgusting. When I opened them, the cookies looked nothing like what I've had in the past. The Purple Haze in particular was completely off. So instead of that fun purple color, they came out brown and burnt-looking. The taste matched the appearance: overcooked, old, and greasy. The edges were so hard they were almost inedible i couldn't finish half the cookie. Overall, the service was careless, the presentation was sloppy, and the product quality was terrible. I left feeling frustrated and regretting my purchase. Sadly, I can see why this location is always empty.

Welcome your newest neighborhood dough dealer. Stumbled upon this while running errands and was quite shocked they made it this way. This is not Crumbl. I've had Cookie Plug at their locations in Riverside & Anaheim and we've always enjoyed their cookies. This location has only been open for a week & is next to CVS & the ever so busy brunch spot, Stacks. Theme, decor, cookie names... definitely not your typical cookie joint - Street / Hood / 90's inspired everything. Their cookies come in different sizes / packages. The large are puck size cookies that are firm on the outside and perfectly soft inside. The mini ones come in the 'plug poppers' & it's a pack of 12, one of each flavor - you can't mix & match. They have 'doggie style' treats for your dogs. They also serve 'purple drank' which is basically purple lemonade. Our favorites: OG Cookie (chocolate chip), Bam Bam Cookie (fruity pebbles), Cookie Cookie Cream Cookie (Oreo), Purple Haze (white choc chip). They warmed it up before serving. They didn't have signage for pricing & packages. I had to ask how much for each & what not. $5 each for the puck cookies, not sure what pricing is for the rest, or if it's discounted if you get a box or a set. Only to find out there was a small group of QR codes on the table to scan for the full menu. It was almost blended in with their decor, so it was hard to find. And for those who are wondering... these are regular cookies. NO DRUGS. Just good ol' cookies. LOL. Perfect treats to bring as presents or to potlucks.

    Half Sack (7 Cookies)

Got the half-sack off cookies. They were very good. Next time I'll know which ones I want more of! I'd recommend trying this place. Four not five stars because of price. Delicious though!

Noticed this new cookie place in a shopping center I frequent and decided to give it a try. Fun, unique, 90s vibe with some humor in the shop. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and helpful. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I didn't see pricing posted anywhere --- not sure if i was supposed to scan a QR code but I ended up asking the young lady for the info on pricing and options. Would be much easier if price and packaging options are posted. But other than that, everything was GREAT! I bought seven cookies which is supposed to be the best option price-wise and an additional box for $1 so i could gift some of them to a friend. I got the OG chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate, toffee ( one of the flavors of the month), and smores. I did not have them warmed up as I knew we weren't going to eat them right away but it's an option at no extra cost. The seven cookies were $25 --- not bad at all for large, thick, hockey-puck size cookies! We warmed the cookies at home before eating for 10 seconds in the microwave and they were DELICIOUS!!!! I like these better than Crumbl cookies as they aren't overly sweet like Crumbl tends to be IMO and instead, just right. We were impressed and will be back! I forgot to take a photo of the cookies before eating them so the photo just has what's left

    Disappointment in a box.

Ambiance is cool, different. Not really kid-friendly. I took my teen here to give it a try today. There was no cookie smell walking in, that should have been my first sign to leave. We got a four pack and asked for them warm. They were hard as a rock and definitely just not ooi gooey, melt in your mouth cookies that you hope for. They were overly sweet, hard, and just not much flavor. I don't recommend going here, unfortunately. We have much better cookie options in our area, this place was not it.

The quality of the food speaks for itself, but what is most impressive is the smooth operation of this hot new cafe. The space itself is small, and the cafe gets busy---- but there is plenty of seating and even during peak hours, there's barely a line. His team is incredibly efficient and quick. From the second I walked in, I was welcomed. The place is spotless-- as soon as there is an empty table, a staff member cleans it. It is clear that the team at Diotima takes a lot of pride in this little bakery cafe. The cappuccino was delicious, and the price point was great for the area. The croissant was excellent--- not too sweet, and that beautiful combination of buttery soft inside and flaky outside that demonstrates how fresh it is. I've heard all the buzz about this place and I have had it bookmarked since owner and chef Kian Moltaji first opened. I am happy to say that I finally had a chance to go. I am literally kicking myself for not having gone sooner because of ALL the bakeries I have been to...I can honestly say that this is by far my absolute favorite. They are open Wednesday through Sunday only so keep that in mind. Chef Kian, offers French pastries that will have you wanting more with the very first bite. The bakery not only smells amazing but it's clean inside and decorated with some pretty live plants. I mean, the bakery made me smile just walking in. Don't know. There are several small tables that line two side walls, just perfect for some coffee and chill with a friend. What I ordered. 1) almond & raspberry danish 5/5 - OMG. I love almond desserts and pastries but I am always so hesitant to take the first bite because they're usually crazy sweet. Not this. This was crispy, flaky, moist, tasty and perfectly sweetened. 2) caramelized almond croissant 5/5 - another super good almond pastry. You'd think being that it is caramelized that this would be cavity inducing but it is far from that. Just the right sweetness. 3) guava cheese 5/5 - really good. What I liked was the soft sweetness of the cheese which usually overpowers cheese pasties everywhere else. 4) chocolate croissant - I didn't get to try this. The kids devoured it so quickly I didn't even have a chance. They did enjoy it very much and had to split the two between them since it's a fairly large pastry. They asked for me to buy more of it, so I'm guessing it must've been a 5/5 for them too. 5) pistachio raspberry croissant 5/5 - this is amazing. No wonder they run out of this all the time. 6) caramelized pistachio raspberry 5/5 - similar to the croissant. This is also very delicious. This one also ran out the first time I went. 7) Nutella 5/5 - I honestly cannot remember the name of this pastry other than it has Nutella in it. This was a huge hit with the kids. The kids are already bugging about going as soon as they open again to which I will happily oblige. I need to snag me some of the pistachio pastries next time. I hear those are amazing. So happy to have them so close to home.

Their son in particular is phenomenal and always made every interaction pleasant. The baked goods are fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. While there was one interaction in the past that felt a little more business-focused than hospitality-focused regarding a mall discount, it was far from enough to take away from the overall experience this bakery consistently provides. Manager ( not the owners ) was upset I wasn't able to offer a mall discount when they were able too. Came to the point she would verbally say we wouldn't ( myself and crew members) wouldn't be receiving it. Personally not a big deal. Most I'd spend was 5-7$ and discount was less than a dollar. Still a phenomenal bakery At the end of the day, great ownership, great products, and great people. Small businesses like this deserve support, and I'm always happy to recommend them.

We visited on a Saturday morning around 9:30am, and while the place was very busy and lively, it's easy to see why it's so popular. Drinks: The honey lavender latte was excellent -- smooth, lightly floral, and not overly sweet. The Nutella cortado is also a standout and a great choice if you like something rich but balanced. Food: The chicken and mushroom crepe had great flavor and was very satisfying. The Romeo and Juliette crepe was absolutely delicious and easily one of the highlights of the visit. Pastries: The almond croissant and peach danish were my favorites -- flaky, fresh, and exactly what you hope for at a bakery like this. Because it was a peak Saturday morning, there was about a 15-minute wait to find a table, and ordering took another 20 minutes. My food came out fairly quickly, but my husband's order was unfortunately missed and didn't arrive until about 40 minutes later. That said, the woman running the place was an absolute sweetheart -- incredibly kind, apologetic, and genuinely attentive. She even offered us a free dessert to make up for the delay, which we really appreciated. The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful despite how crowded it was. The space does get noisy when it's full, so it's not the most relaxing dine-in experience during peak hours. My advice: order online and take it to go -- this would be perfect for a picnic or a relaxed breakfast elsewhere. The food and drinks are absolutely worth it, and with a little planning, you'll have a great experience.
