My car is now running smoothly with no more oil leaks! Ben also helped me fix an issue with the driver's side rotor and brake pads. He showed me that the caliper bolts were larger than the manufacturer's specifications, causing them to grind against the rotor and pads. I had a check engine light come on my vehicle regarding the secondary air injection system. I rook it to another place first which charge me nearly $500 to replace the air pump, however didn't fix the problem. Took it to Cooks and they were able to determined it was a bad solenoid, a $40 part that could be easily replaced in a minute. They were kind enough to give the part number and let me know which local Ford dealership had it in stock, to help me save a little money. A few days later I went back regarding a headlight that would randomly go out and again that they were able to easily fix as well. They also charged a more than fair price for both services. I had such a good experience I'm going to make them my new regular mechanic. Overall great service and stress free experience. read more

I am really happy. My car feels brand new again. Its an older subaru legacy, 2005 that had a few leaks and issues with the rack and pinion + bearing and I had a hard time getting the bottom of these issues with other mechanics. These guys are rockstars! I can't rate them highly enough. My truck was sounding rough when traveling about 25 mph and I had to drive to MT in less than 36 hours. They got me in and out the same day and the owner even drove around in my truck with me on what should have been his lunch break so he could listen to exactly what sound I was concerned about. Worst repair shop ever! They say they're gonna fix something but actually just mess it all up. Even if they say it's fixed but it's not they will still take your money and tell you that they won't give you your hard earned money back. When I came in and asked him why my car was fucked up they just said it's because there was ANOTHER problem with it. When it worked pretty well before we took it to Cooks. He gave me a sticky note with car codes and basically said look them up, you'll know what's wrong with your car. Just a terrible car repair place and I recommend no one going there if you want your car to stay good in value. Just know "Cooks car repair" you might have a lawsuit on your back. read more

Top notch experience from start to finish. I called ahead of time to see if they would accept a walk in for an oil change. The guy on the phone was nice and said I'd be more than welcome to come in. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful-I felt like I was talking to a friend. Great rates on an oil change and while I was at it had both air filters changed. Total was less than $60 and the wait was about an hour since I had to wait for the air filters to be delivered. Grateful for a restroom and quiet waiting area. I found my new auto repair shop. Excellent! Another nearby shop called Marco Muffler quoted me over $3,000 for a simple exhaust leak, saying that I had to replace my entire catalytic converter system and exhaust manifold. Took it here and all it needed was the cracked exhaust pipe to be welded back together and you charged under $150. read more

I called for a quote to repair a squealing noise that was coming from my rear brakes today. It was weird because the the noise mostly occurred when I was reversing my vehicle and not depressing the brakes. Ben, the shop manager, asked me to bring my vehicle in for a free inspection/diagnosis. He and his colleague discovered my rear brakes were worn down and the clips were loose which explains the squealing noise we were hearing. He gave me a quote and I agreed to it, but I later realized it was about $60 more than another shop I was planning to bring it to. Ben called the competitor shop to confirm the competitor quote for the same job and was able to take $33 off the quote. So I am so happy that I found this great auto shop! As a woman, I've gotten many estimates from auto shops with ridiculous prices or wanting to fix things that don't even need replacing. With my 2003 Mustang, I had so many issues with it. They were able to give me free quotes, and could even process my CC over the phone. They were also honest with me when they said they couldn't replace the catalytic converters since I didn't have the emissions sticker anymore. This is hands down one of the best repairs shops I've been to, The owner and all the employees are very upfront and honest and their prices are much cheaper with better quality of work then all their competitors. I took my Toyota 4runner to them for a CV axle shaft replacement and their quote was less then half what PepBoys quote was and an 1/8 of the time, from start to finish my vehicle was in their shop for less then 2 hours on a busy Friday morning and what they charged me in parts and labor was cheaper then just the parts quote from PepBoys.
