Did not address the intermittent starting delay issue. Replaced alternator. Very expensive and still had same issue with my 2016 KIA Soul. Had to take to KIA dealer who replaced the crank position sensor. So so disappointing and expensive. Front desk gal and owner were very nice, but sadly did not run diagnostics that would have identified the crank position sensor issue. read more

On my second visit I called first and told person I needed transmission oil change. He said come in in an hour, I did. Person said when I called and have appointment for transmission oil change I was told we don't do transmission oil changes here. And then asked do you need an oil change? I said forget this. I told her I was giving you guys a second chance and you guys screwed that up. I didn't talk about the first time I had service there. The tried to screw me over, but I wouldn't have it. I've taken my F150 to Wrench Rat multiple times. They're always incredibly friendly, quick and have been able to resolve my issues. This has ranged from basic services like oil and filter to more complex services where they tore the engine down to the block to send the heads off for resurfacing and have new valves installed. On multiple occasions (prior to using Wrench Rat more regularly), I have either taken the vehicle to the Ford dealership and they were unable to resolve my issue or they were too busy to even get back to me despite 4 separate attempts to schedule service. This has never been the case with Wrench Rat. I highly recommend them. read more

Worst case scenario -job not finished, part broken, part missing, and damage to vehicle, and charged over $300 for that privilege. I'd give negative stars if possible. I took my vehicle to Wrench Rat for a window motor replacement. I made an appointment three weeks out, brought the vehicle in at 9am, and supplied the part to be replaced. I emphasized several times that this would be the only day during the week that I would be able to drop off my car since my work hours mirror the shops. The good...the new window motor works. The bad...everything else. After I got home, I noticed a piece of rubber slightly sticking out of the door jamb. When I opened the door a big piece of rubber fell out. It was the gasket that seals around the back of the window in the door jamb. Also on the floor was the door lock lever and a screw. I called the shop and of course the technician said they didn't remove the gasket. Since I was unable to come in during their working hours, I asked the owner if they could stay open an hour later, come in early on a Saturday, or give a partial refund. The owner wasn't having any of it. I just finished removing the door panel. Upon removal, I found a piece of the trim is broken, one of the panel retainers is missing, and the spot where that wayward screw had been drilled out. Now I have to order a replacement trim piece and spend another 30 minuted removing the door panel. I've pieced together what I believe happened. The technician realized they forgot to replace the rubber gasket and were too lazy to remove the door panel again and just let the customer deal with it. In summary, if you have an old Kia that just needs an air filter replaced, they may be competent enough to accomplish that. If you actually care about your vehicle, I highly recommend taking it anywhere else. There are way too many reputable shops out there to chance it on this one. Spoke to Josh on the phone told him I was having air conditioning problems in my car I wanted to get it repaired as soon as possible he told me to bring it in, he diagnosed my car charged me $49.99 and then after doing so told me he wasn't scheduling any appointments for repairs for 30 days he knew I wanted my car repaired as soon as possible, he could have told me that I would have taken my car elsewhere, he ripped me off. I called and spoke to a women over the phone who was providing me with pricing for brake pad/Roder replacement. I misunderstood the pricing and had my man call just to clarify and see how much it is. I visited here today for an oil change and smog cert. I feel like I was given great information when I called. I was given different options and was explained what the differences were between the services. They check my plate numbers in the system to make sure they could service my car, and gave me a very accurate quote and approximate wait/service time. I had a coupon for my smog service. Was not pressured for any upsales or given a large list of things that "need" to be done. Service was fast(45min for both), friendly and budget friendly.
