    Ok - enjoy the craft

Rented an Indian Chief motorcycle and took it out through the twisty, scenic roads of Silverado and Trabuco Canyons, with a planned lunch stop at Cook's Corner--hard to beat that combo. It was a Saturday, so I grabbed a Patty Melt with a side of crispy, fresh fries. Had them spiced and made good use of the Cajun spice shaker--no regrets on the extra shakes. I'm still a moto rookie, so I stuck with a fountain drink while watching the steady stream of bikes roll through. Good timing (Saturday): they had a six-piece live band playing at noon, and they were seriously talented. The crowd was a true mix--all types, all walks--some smoking twisteds, cigarettes, and stogies outside (fair warning on the smoke). That said, there are plenty of spots if you're looking for a quieter, smoke-free place to hang. Definitely take a stroll around--there's a lot of cool stuff to check out. No bike? No problem. Everyone's welcome here, not on wheels...no problem, and people are friendly as long as you're not a jerk. Come, enjoy, and soak in this iconic place. You'll be glad you did. And if nothing else, it's an experience--maybe even a bit of a people zoo--in the best possible way.

Awful. Scary biker bar. Not friendly do not go. It's clearly a clubhouse for some biker gang or something.

Second time here last week and I did NOT expect the place to be that busy on a Thursday after work. Where did all of these people come from!? It's a bar up in the mountains!! It was like a Friday night after work, that's how busy it was. I had trouble finding a good spot for my bike, but fortunately after ordering some food, I noticed other people leaving so I was able to move my bike up to the front. Drinks are strong and the food offerings are pretty much standard bar fare, but in a good way. I ordered a patty melt and while it was very good, I've had better. It was a bit salty and that says a lot since I like my food salty. For $15.95 it also came with fries which automatically makes it EXCELLENT value for the price. Crowd and vibes were chill. It was a good mix of every age group and different crowds, not just bikers. Will definitely be back in the near future to try other foods and go hang out outside next time.

It's a fascinating place to visit, whether or not you arrive on a motorcycle. The staff and motorcyclists were polite and friendly during both of my visits. Ambience =5, service = 5, food = 4.

Cook's Corner is a Legendary Biker Bar that welcomes all. I love this place. The venue is tucked away, secluded, and large. There is live music often with some great local bands that play regularly. There is plenty of seating and a lot of it is covered to provide shade. The employees are awesome! The patrons are a great bunch of people whose main common ground is just having the best time possible! After many days and nights spent here, it starts to have a sort of family feel to it. They serve up some decent food and the drinks are stiff. If you haven't been here, stop by, you will definitely have a good time.

Great Saturday afternoon at Cooks. Great music and people. The service is good here always on it. Fast drinks and the food is ok. The inside never changes it's just Cooks.

    Jammin out with the band.

The love band, food, service, people were all amazing! Next time I'll be taking my wife. Found our new hangout! Cooks Corner is the spot for those on 2 wheels! Right on!

My first White Russian! It was really good.

it was exactly what I hoped for. Great music and awesome drinks. Clearly a place with a long history. Glad as a resident to have this close by.

This place is an institution and I always have a great time when I show up. It's a fun biker dive bar with a great atmosphere. They often have bands playing and people dancing. It has huge outdoor spaces, but inside at the bar is where all the fun is. They have all the drinks and beer you could ever want and all at reasonable prices. They also have a food counter to order burgers, wings and other bar food. It's not the best, but tastes great with a beer or cocktail. Make a trip out just for the fun of it.

    Absolutely, they rarely close!!

    Is it Dog friendly?

The staff member that waited on us was newer and eager to learn. He answered the questions we had and if he was unsure he investigated to make sure our visit there was a positive experience. We don't get the opportunity to go there often, but when in the area it's our go to restaurant.

Weird experience here. Husband and I decided to go out for dinner. It was a little late (after 8),…read morebut we decided we wanted something unique (to us), and a sit down spot. Blind Pig has been on my list for the 5+ years since we moved here and it said they were open until 10 so we headed over. Get there around 8:40 and waited a few minutes for a hostess. Hostess finally comes out grabs us menus and seats us in a cute spot on the patio overlooking the lake. We see from the special menu that it's steak night! Yay! We decide what we're going to get and wait... and wait... and wait... 10-15 minutes later a server comes out, beelines it for another dude adjacent to us on the patio, chats with him, gets an order from him (a drink, I'm sure), then comes over to us. We tell him we're ready to order everything (drinks + food) and he looks very alarmed. He asks us if the hostess had told us the kitchen closes at 9. She did not. But also, it's 9:04 and we didn't see him for the 10-15 minutes we'd already been there. Server (I can't remember his name) was incredibly apologetic. Seemed very genuine. He checked the kitchen and they were indeed fully closed down, nearly all staff had left. He offered us free drinks. Which we took him up on (I had an EXCELLENT Manhattan, my husband doesn't drink alcohol but enjoyed his drink as well) and the server also provided us a free dessert as well (it was a gelato thing with white chocolate - sounds like an odd combo, but it was very good). I tipped him $20 on our $0 tab, and we left and went to BJ's for an okay dinner as that's all that was open by then aside from fast food. So yeah, not really sure what happened here. Communication seems to have broken down somewhere between staff (did the hostess not tell the server she'd seated a new table for him?) Server tried to salvage the night and we were grateful for the effort, but what a bummer of a first impression. One other thing: Yelp/Google/Whoever: Can we give restaurants the option to list the hours their kitchens are open in addition to their bar hours? There are a lot of bars that serve food, but their kitchens close well before their bar does. Would be super helpful.
