Food was great and very reasonably priced!Drinks were great, the service was on time and they were very nice. It's a nice bar with plenty of seating! I believe the owner of the place was also helping out and from what I can see knew the regulars well and wore a smile on his face always.

Daily specials, Fridays is Fish Fry! Locals hang out here. Live music at night. Must be tight 'cause it's tiny, but fun! Had the fish & chips and they were awesome and reasonably priced! Service was friendly and quick. They took care of us. Recommend for a local experience. You're my boy Luke!

We decided to grab drinks here after a tasty pho meal next door. The bartender was super-friendly from the get-go. The place was fairly empty on a Sunday night but that seemed par for the course in off-season Niagara Falls. The place is clean with a more upscale (but not fancy) sports bar feel. There are multiple TVs and a large projection screen in the dining area. They have a pool table but regulars had that baby on lockdown during our visit. We started with shots of whiskey. Niagara Falls bars do not know how to pour a shot... or they're all extremely greedy. It was a disappointment. I went with a whiskey cranberry after the baby shot, which was better. We only stayed for a couple drinks but were satisfied in the hospitality shown. I'd stop in again!

My second visit to CHL as I will call it now... I tried to go incognito knowing it was setup! The place had a cool Friday vibe ... I was there for one thing the fish and chips! They knew I was coming as I tried to look inconspicuous from my last visit. I put on my acting skills and ordered. On our last episode Cheryl was the barkeep but she brought backup. I was done for she recognized my terrible acting skills.. my Yelp cover was blown. Nice review she says.. I respond with a picture of the bar area.. saying nothing to try an keep my cover for another visit. The fish and chips you ask.. if there is one place in Niagara Falls that beats all others it is this hidden gem... as for my acting skills trying to play it cool at CHL... well I'll have try it again. Perhaps a better accent and the Covid mask doesn't help!

Stopped in during the off-season and the bartender was fantastic. She was running the bar by…read moreherself and absolutely handled it -- attentive, friendly, efficient, and professional the entire time. I wish I remembered her name, but thank you. You made the visit. Now, when you market yourself as the Original Buffalo Wing, that carries real weight. There's history there. There's pride there. And honestly, there's an expectation that comes with it. If you're going to carry that banner, you have to be better than Buffalo Wild Wings. That's just the reality. The identity of the place is built on being the original. The wings were good. Solid flavor, classic presentation, cold beer, sports on the TVs -- it checks the boxes for a fun wing spot. But were they clearly a step above other national wing chains? Probably not. And that's where the expectation gap shows up. That said, it's still a good place to grab wings and a beer. Bring your buddies, bring your family, bring your girlfriend -- catch a game and hang out. It's casual and comfortable. If you're in Niagara Falls and want to experience the history behind the name, it's worth a stop. Just go in expecting a solid wing-and-beer experience rather than something that completely resets the standard.

We were visiting from California and came to catch the soccer game on a Saturday early evening. The…read morebar wasn't busy when we sat down, which makes the experience below even harder to explain. Service: 1/5. This was a team effort in the worst way. A skinny bald gentleman who appeared to be a manager was dismissive from the start, walking away mid-sentence before we could even order, multiple times, always rushing off only to go stand at the host desk. And when he did bring our drinks, he literally slammed them down on the table. From the person who's supposed to be setting the standard for the staff --seriously? We sat for 15 minutes without anyone taking our order, meanwhile, a table seated after us got their food before we'd even ordered. When we finally flagged down a server with long blonde hair and mentioned the wait, her response was "who gave you your drinks?" - deflection instead of an apology. We also tried waving down a server with dreadlocks, who acted like he didn't hear us and walked away. To be fair, there was one other bald staff member who was genuinely kind and helpful - he was the lone bright spot, and the difference between him and everyone else was night and day. Food: 3.5/5. Credit where it's due - the food was good. Breaded pickles, original buffalo wings, and the habanero dry rub with ranch, which was genuinely good. The Bloody Mary was flavorful and they had Yuengling. About $82 with tip. Ambiance: 2.5/5. Spacious sports bar with TVs everywhere, which works for game day. But there was water leaking from the vents onto the carpet the entire time we were there - that's a maintenance issue, not a vibe. Bottom line: the food holds up, the service doesn't. If you want Anchor Bar wings near the Falls, do takeout -- skip the dine-in experience entirely. Will we come back? No. Would we recommend dining in? No. To management: scroll through these reviews and you'll see service complaints going back a year or more, same issues, same patterns, still unresolved. Whoever has been running this floor has had more than enough time to fix it. Replying to reviews with apologies isn't the same as addressing the problem. Actually retrain the staff, actually hold the floor manager accountable, and actually fix the leaking vents. Until then, this location is coasting on a famous name it didn't earn.

It's not a bad place to go to sit down and relax and they offer a lunch buffet with spaghetti, chicken and salads. I came here to work a little bit and while the service was good, the food (in particular the burger was just A-OK). We started with an order of hot wings which were fairly delicious and the blue cheese that came with it was high quality. On the Buffalo Wing scale, I'd give em a 7/10, which is pretty good. They could have used more crisp, but the wings were saucy and large to be a contender for some more delicious ones. The burger really fell flat. The bun wasn't tasty and could have used some toasting. The meat had no discernible seasoning. The waitress didn't know whether it was cooked from frozen or not when I asked. Although I was asked how I wanted it cooked (med rare, please!), it came out medium well / well and didn't have too much flavor. I'd skip the burger, go for the wings and maybe try a few other things on the menu. All in all, it's an A-OK place to grab lunch if you're on a budget.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!
