The guys here are super friendly knowledgeable and trustworthy, which is inline with the other Yelp reviews. Oh and did I mention affordable. Our truck AC had been slowly getting warmer and it was a brutally hot summer, so we took it in to get the AC charged and serviced. The truck is over 10 years old, we were hopful that they wouldn't find anything major. Our call in to schedule the appointment was super easy, they answer the phone in person and had lots of open appointments. We had to leave the vehicle with them and there is no waiting room so took a stroll to Ala Moana and got a coffee while they were checking the car. Took about an hour and they called to let me know they were done. The AC was refilled with refrigerant and they unfortunately did find a small leak in the cab. He provided an estimate for the repair, however indicated that we could try it out and see how long the AC stays cool before we decide if we want to get it repaired. NO pressure. The AC has been working great, so we will keep using till it goes out and then would definitely give them a call to do the repair. read more

Several years ago, I tried this place after another auto a/c repair shop kept charging me for a problem they couldn't fix. These guys handled the repair just fine and my older car (2011 Rogue) gave me several years of perfect a/c. Fast forward to now... I frequent Cool Tech more than a few times a year for company vehicles as well as private vehicles. They are a full auto mechanical shop. Primarily they are an Air conditioning shop, but they can do oil changes tire rotations etc. They are an honest shop. I say this because if something is out of their wheel house, they will tell you so. They will not attempt it and if something goes wrong its oops. They will tell you, perhaps another shop can do that. I appreciate how honest they are. Additionally Steve and Simon are some of the NICEST guys around. Wow First time I got a quote that was higher than the car dealership, I was pretty shocked, so I just told them to recharge my AC $80 A lot cheaper than fixing my leak. The recharge lasted almost a year so well worth it. After when I needed another recharge, I decided to go to Walmart and purchase the AC Pro recharge bottle $40 and do it myself it was really simple it took less than 10 minutes, and it was running cold again not sure how long it's going to last but better than spending $80 in these hard times. read more

My husband only had 1 day to get his car fixed, he works 12 days straight in a row and has to be at work at 5am so this was the only day he could get the ac fixed. Simon is super helpful and very honest! I went in because my AC was no longer cold. A first opinion I got recommended replacing the evaporator core for $3k... Simon was able to diagnose the problem much quicker and had a simpler fix of replacing the compressor for 1/3 the cost! Diagnosed on Wednesday and the problem was resolved on Friday. He credits you the diagnosis fee and also because he found the job to be easier, came in about $100 under his estimate. I had putting off getting my bumper fixed for awhile. Mainly because cause I didn't know where to take it and definitely didn't want to go to BMW cause it would probably cost me an arm & a leg. Once again I am amazed how good these gentlemen are. After not needing service on my new used XB for over a year I was greeted before even parking by first name. All I needed was a bulb changed which took close to 30 minutes ( complex on the XB ). Before being asked for payment Simon asked me twice if I was ok and I must have had a not understanding look on my face. Then he explains he asked because it came up in conversation that I lost my job due to the pandemic. Yes I am thank you for asking and a very fair payment was asked and made. Amazing Service! I called at 5pm the day before and asked if they could work on my jeep the next day (Friday) uncle Simon said sure! Bring it in! I got there late around 1030. I am a bit car savy, so I knew the compressor was bad on my jeep, as well as a hose. Uncle simon said he would have it done by 5pm. Perfect because I was pau Hana at that time! He fibbed, it was done at 4pm! And for $400+ less than what I was quoted at 2 other places! When I pulled in I was worried because there was a BMW suv, porshe suv, and a very nice Mercedes inside. These guys are awesome!! It was a Friday around 4-5pm. My passenger window broke and it wouldn't roll up. It would roll up an inch and then go back down. After playing with the switches, it just wouldn't respond to the button. I called about 10 different car shops before but they either said they couldn't do VW or they were just about closing so they couldn't help me today, I had to wait until Monday. So, as a last shot I call this place (about 10-15 minutes before they closed) to see if they could try to get my window up. I figured they couldn't, but they asked what sound it made and said that they had to order a part so it couldn't be fixed today. I guess I sounded disappointed bc he said to just come down and he'll try to do what he can. He greets me and gets to work immediately on my window. My window control is being a little jerk and I felt bad because he was trying to manually get my window up, and it looked really frustrating to deal with the window malfunction and they already closed at this point. So he takes the whole door panel off with care, not rushing, figures out the problem, explains that he's gonna do a quick fix for now until I can come back or take to another place to order the part since he couldn't completely fix it without that part. He even disconnected the electrical unit from the control so I wouldn't accidentally press the button and have the problem repeat itself over the weekend! How thoughtful!!! Then they cleaned my window and door interior and did not charge me! They stayed to work on my window for almost an hour after they closed and they didn't charge me, didn't want to take my money, and weren't pushy about having me come back to them for the complete fix. But, I mean, obviously, I'm definitely coming back to Cool Tech. How can I not? They are so friendly and accommodating! read more
