We have a large house with a vaulted ceiling with lots of windows and even though we have good ventilation, it gets so hot so split AC has been on my radar for quite some time. I put in a request for quotes through Yelp and Air Source was the first to reply. There were 2 other companies that I also reached out to but after my first meeting with Kevin, I was pretty sure that I wanted to go with Air Source because he was so knowledgeable. After waiting a couple weeks and not hearing from one of the companies and still waiting for a quote from the other, we decided to go with Air Source. I am so happy we did! Since we did not have split AC before I had lots of questions and worries, but felt that I was in capable hands. We waited about a month and a half and the day of the install, about five vans pulled up exactly at 7:30. The crew all knew what they needed to do. An electrician also came. The installation took a day and a half and Kevin was there throughout the first day. We got a total of 5 units, a large one for the living dining room, a mid size one for a larger room, and 3 smaller units for the bedrooms. I flet the pricing was very competitive, lower than I had expected. They explained how to use the remotes and installed holders the remotes. Kristi filed the rebate for us. They cleaned up everything too. We are so happy with our new AC! We'll definitely call them back to service them in a year. read more

we have 2 houses on our property - one with 4 a/c's and the other has one - all Mitsubishi's, but from 2 different suppliers. I contacted Air Source as we were having problems with (I thought) 3 of them. Kevin was at another job in the neighborhood and agreed to stop by to evaluate. Turned out that the one unit just had to be reset from the outside panel and would not have to be replaced yet. In the second house, he looked at the two units that were giving us problems and found that the setting on one remote had to be adjusted and explained why. The second a/c seemed to be working ok. He said we could keep both until they actually stopped working, then they could be replaced. Both were over 12 years old. The other 2 in the house had to be replaced a couple of years earlier. So to be proactive, I wanted to have the two older ones replaced even though they were still working. Kevin said ok once I explained that the other two broke down unexpectedly during really hot weather and we were fortunate that we had some backup. We were given an estimate and were advised that if accepted, the installation schedules were about a month out. The day of the installation, Kevin came to help set up and get the job started. The crew was really nice and worked efficiently. They had to clear out some areas to get to the conduit in the closet (which we didn't think about), but put everything back the way they found it when done - even the bookshelf against the wall below the unit which we had moved ourselves! I was given the user manuals and had the remote functions explained to me. I am happy that I contacted Air Source. They work as a team. Kristi was helpful and fun to talk to and Kevin said they would be able to do annual maintenance in all 5 of our units, which I will schedule in advance this summer. read more

We needed to have our split unit A/C's serviced since we never had it done from the time we got it 4 or 5 years ago to now. Our friend highly recommended this company so we gave them a call. We spoke to Kristi who informed us that they were really busy and booked until I think November but will call us back if she had an earlier date. A couple of days later, she had an October opening...yay! They sent 2 workers. Chad, who was the lead went to check all of our A/C's and informed us which ones needed cleaning versus which ones didn't. They were fast and did a really good job. Just had my two Mitsubishi units serviced today,I'm glad I did it , it was dirty but not that bad for 6-7 years . Was serviced by two knowledgeable techs , Chad and his partner , in fact Chad was one of the installers back in 2016 . They did a great job of cleaning the blowers . Very thorough. They were very neat and clean . Now it's blowing fresh air, smells great . They also serviced my in law's unit too in September 2023. I had Kevin install 4 a.c. units 20 years ago. It was time to replace those units. Again, I called Air Source and Kristi answered the phone and we set up a time that Kevin could come out to my home for the estimate for 5 a.c. units. Kevin did his estimate. The next day, he sent the estimate to me by email. I called Kristi and we did the signing of the contract on line. Kevin told me that the installation would take 1-2 days for 5 units. On the day of the installation, Kevin had his whole crew installing the 5 units. The crew including Kevin were respectable, hard working and fast. In 4 hrs., the installation was completed. After the installation, I was given an operational run through of each of the a.c. units. They left the area around my home and inside of my home clean and removed all of the old a.c. units. In the final bill, we also had the Hawaii Energy Residential Air Conditioning deduction for the installation of the new units and that was all handled by Air Source Air Conditioning. I also found out that they do cleaning of the a.c. units so guess who I am calling when I need cleaning. Kristi and Kevin at Air Source are absolutely the best! I had a very hard time finding a contractor to just give me an estimate for AC installation in my house. This was not the case with Air Source- Kristi in the office was very responsive and Kevin provided me an estimate within a couple days of the site visit (which by the way was scheduled within a week of my initial call). The estimate was reasonable, too! Kevin and his crew showed up ON TIME the day of the installation. They were professional, friendly and started working right away. Kevin is an expert, I believe he has about 20 years of experience. You could tell he knows what he is doing and his staff were knowledgeable, too. They blocked 2 days for the installation and he got it done in 1! Additionally, they were clean and left NO mess. Kevin also came back to set up a special pump so that condensation from one unit would not make a mess on our lanai. I am extremely pleased with the Mitsubishi Split System AC units and excellent services provided by Air Source Air Conditioning. I first installed two split systems over 10 years ago, and with the annual maintenance service they provided in conjunction with the Hawaii Energy rebate program, both units continue to perform well with no problems at all. Based on this experience, decided to ask Air Source to provide additional units for all of my bedrooms and family room. Kevin Goo came within a week to assess my rooms and gave me a very reasonable quote that I was happy with. They just finished installing 5 wall units with two compressors in a day and a half. Fast, efficient, and very friendly workers. All my compressors are hidden in the walk space under my house and protected from the elements. They even took care of the paperwork to get the Hawaii Energy rebate for new split systems and deducted the rebate from my final bill.
