An update to my initial review- We had a failure with one of our units which Melvin installed a little over 2 years ago. We paid him around $17k for all of our units. Contacted Melvin and he came by the next day to diagnose it. He diagnosed it quickly as a faulty circuit board, and told us he'd be in contact. Not professional and doesn't respect your time. I set up an appointment for Melvin to come by for an estimate to replace a dual zone split AC system. He said he'd come by after lunch the next day. So I take off work to meet after lunchtime and 2:30 rolls around and no shows. I text him and he says how 'bout 5pm? That's way too late for an "after lunch" appt. Thursday night my split unit started spouting water from the front. Not good. Started looking for a repair service first thing Friday morning. I called Melvin and he offered to come to my house right away take a look at my unit. No one was going to be home so we arranged for him to come first thing Saturday, this morning. Called for a quote and Melvin came out the same day to take measurements and meet. He sent the quote over the next day. We signed the contract (I think on a Tuesday) for 2 splits and a compressor that can run both since the rooms are right next to each other. We have 5 split level systems with 4 of them never cleaned.....and they are almost 20'years old. They clean everything....taking out the blowers.....using cleaners to kill the mold and mildew .....and when finished run the units for 30 minutes to make sure it's working and draining and no problems. Melvin responded very quickly to my Yelp request for a quote - this was on the Friday evening before Christmas! I found really bad mold while cleaning my air filters. The mold was deep inside.
