After a summer of record-breaking heat, we contacted several air conditioning installers reviewed here on Yelp for quotes. Some were too busy to do it, but Edwin came out the next day and sent us a quote overnight. The installation crew came a just week later. They ran conduit and a 220V line from our detatched garage, where our electrical panel is, to the house, which involved an underground trench. In one day, they installed 9,000 BTU Mitsubishi split units in three bedrooms. The fourth unit, a 30,000 BTU split unit for the living/dining/kitchen space, was on back order. When it arrived two weeks later, the crew came back and finished the job in one afternoon. Our communication via the Yelp messaging feature was quick and easy. Scheduled an appointment for an estimate to install a split a/c. NO SHOW on day of appointment. I called Edwin why he didn't show and his response was he was sorry 'cause he was bz. I immediately told him I would try someone else. Another lost cause of bad customer service. 5/17/16: Revising my review. Contractor contacted me a couple days after the missed appointment, came to my house & provided me a cost estimate. I sought out 3 other bids. A One Electric's was the best and it included removing my existing wall a/c unit, taking it away, & filling the opening (plywood/drywall/painting). He quoted the same price for the Mitsubishi or Fujitsu split so I chose the Mitsubishi. On May 9th he provided me the initial bid, agreed on a revised bid, and work was completed on May 17th. Hot ! HOT ! HOT ! We have been talking to install A/C to our 2-story house for many years. Our house is hot in the summer, especially facing the hot afternoon sun. With the heat these days, we finally made decision to get A/C. We got referrals and discussed with three contractors and we decided on A One Electric and on the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim model, one is 30K BTU and the other one is 24K BTU. Do you remember the record hot days last week? Thanks so much to A One, they were ahead of schedule of installing 100 solar panel big project at other location, and they were able to squeeze in to do this 'small' job of installing two A/C in between of next project. This small project took them two days. The first day consisted of design & heavy work as well as to hook up to our solar system. Second day was mostly connecting the second A/C and wrapping up. We were given hands-on instruction. They also performed tests to make sure these two A/C are working to the standard. We have used the A/Cs since, and survived the hottest weekend last week - the 100 with heat index. Our home is so cool and everyone is so happy to stay home. Received a quote to replace my 5-ton 16 SEER central A/C system but they tried to install a 14 SEER compressor. The crew barely speaks English and are at the mercy of the owner, who was dishonest with me. The owner, Edwin Lin, didn't properly plan on my installation. My bedroom split AC was down.
