A quick search showed the OEM part is widely available for around $150, and the job typically takes 1-2 hours. Charging $1,800 for that kind of work is hard to justify. To their credit, when I called and requested a refund of the deposit, they returned it without issue (hence the 2 stars). That said, the initial sales approach was misleading and predatory. For context, another company has since quoted $460 for the same repair.

Met with owner and he justified the price mostly due to "knowing his costs", generous salaries for his employees, enormous overhead, advertising and a "small profit margin" Lesson learned. When the technician goes into upsell mode and tells you they are offering a competitive price, don't believe them. Get three quotes. Also, they remove any negative reviews and want you to not post anything detrimental on social media.

He is such an amazingly talented guy that within the first 5 mins of the call, he suggested what might be causing it. The answer was motor was creating Negative pressure on which was sucking the air back from the pipe. When I explained the issue to Harry, imagine it coming from non-technical guy which he listened so patiently and after understanding, he explained the resolution in a very calm way.
