Oscar won my business by giving me a low offer for a name brand unit. The one he put in was not the system he told me he'd use. Nonetheless, I didn't care since I was selling the house anyway. The one day job turned into months. They were in my house for hours for at least a week. When they "finished" Oscar said they'd come back the following week to check on things. Of course that didn't happen. But in fairness, it hadn't turned hot yet. When it did, he was no where to be found. I was forgotten like a used tissue. The last day they were here, I noticed damage to my floor. It bubbled from something cold being placed on it. I brought this to Oscar's attention and all he said was "oh." Days later, I noticed a wire that was just hanging and asked him about it. He minimized it and said they'd forgot to cut it but he was out of the country. Weeks went by and no phone call, no text no nothing. On June 1st, I texted him about the wire but he didn't respond. I woulda been content to hide and tuck the wires until the central air stopped cooling my house. It literally worked two days and then it stopped working. I messaged him on June 4th and he squeezed me in the same night. He was here for hours; in and out, in and out until he finally said that whatever the problem was he'd have to fix "tomorrow." The next day (tomorrow) the whole morning went by and nothing, not a peep from him. That afternoon, June 6th I finally texted asking him when he was coming to which he said, "Ga. The store won't have tanks until Monday. When can we get back in?" So, that Monday he came and "fixed" the issue. Oscar said something about it being hot outside and blah blah blah. Idk or care what he had to say because the condenser is supposed to work in the summer. That's exactly why you get central air. I was on vacation for a week. When I returned the house was cold. A few days later the condenser stopped working. I googled if it was normal and learned it was not and that indicated a problem. So, I texted, "Again, the outside piece isn't on. It's 74 degrees in the house although it's set for 70. It worked earlier but now it's not. I looked up if it's common for the condenser to be off and the blower on and it said no; that indicates a problem. I'll check again in the morning but I know this shouldn't be happening. Especially since it's cooler at night." I then looked on my camera and saw that it stopped working around 19:18. June 11 I texted him that the machine stopped working again. He asked if it's on outside to which I told him no. A few hours later I called him and let him know that the machine started cooling. On June 19th I texted him, "Again, the outside piece isn't on. It's 74 degrees in the house although it's set for 70. It worked earlier but now it's not. I looked up if it's common for the condenser to be off and the blower on and it said no; that indicates a problem. I'll check again in the morning but I know this shouldn't be happening. Especially since it's cooler at night." His response, "Reset it in the wrong cut the switch off and on again see if it turns on." After some more back and forth, he asked if I was back from vacation. Unfortunately I wasn't home. On June 29th, I asked if there was any way for the air to go upstairs. It should be known that the system when it works only cools downstairs and doesn't cool the second floor. He responded that he's away until Thursday. Today is July 1 and the hottest day of the whole year so far and the AC is not working. I heard gurgling noises coming from it and found liquid on the system. When I reached out to Oscar, he didn't respond. I informed him that I think the machine was refurbished because something brand new shouldn't have all these problems. I showed him pictures of the water. At this point, I'm contemplating going to court for a refund.

I called them they said we don't have the coil in stock it will be 7-10 days to get it. I said are you kidding me. He let me know the issue was my inducer, and he lubed it up and gave me a quote for a new inducer. He said the inducer could last through the season, or it might break soon. He also told me to add some WD-40 (which he didn't have handy) and that it might help prevent an issue. Week and a half later, the inducer broke and I had no heat. Erin in the office helped coordinate sourcing the replacement, which was delivered in less than 24 hours, and Aaron and Francis (another technician) were on-site by 8 a.m. the next morning to make the replacement and confirm operation. Its tough to beat that level of response, it was Amazon-like. Just wanted to give a shout to Aaron, Francis and Erin, all who provided exceptional customer service through out this issue. They also helped me sign-up for the yearly service plan with Princeton Air, which I originally thought was a bit expensive, but gave me 15% off the inducer and the original visit from before I had signed-up.

The first system they installed was the wrong size. I had to wait almost a week before they reinstalled the correct size system. Much to my dismay, the second system isn't working either. I called into customer service and asked to speak with a manager, I was told there was no manager to speak with. The customer service representative said another repairman would be out this evening. Waiting on that repairman now in my very cold house. I am now a completely dissatisfied long term customer that regrets going with Princeton Air. I will update this post when/if they correct the problem AND I have had an opportunity to speak with a manager. Update 12/15 - Happy to say PA has my new HVAC system working now. I spoke with a manager this morning and he went out of his way to make things right. Update 1/16 - two repairman were out twice yesterday. The first one said it was the thermostat was faulty. That was the third thermostat they put in. Heat was working when he left only to quit working a few hours later. Another repairman came out later in the evening and said the problem was the filter. Evidently it was too big for the system. So he changed the filter to a smaller size. It's working again, for now. Unfortunately, I have lost confidence with this company after having used them for years. Their quality seems to have gone out the window after recently having merged with Weltman Home Services. Think twice before you use Princeton Air!!! Update 1/31 We woke up this morning to a cold house. The thermostat said 65 degrees. When we turn up the thermostat the unit seems like is shutting down. Called customer service and they said someone would be out today. They couldn't give me a time or even a window as to when they will arrive. I am beyond fed up with Princeton Air. My next step is to get an attorney to see what I can do legally.
