I have a feeling Coomber Wines is going to be one of our favorite spots this summer! We decided to give it a try over the weekend after hearing they have live music nightly on their back patio. We were able to easily make a reservation by calling. While they have quite a bit of wine to choose from, we really enjoyed the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. One thing to note is that they do not serve food. However, we saw people bringing in Pizza or Thai Food from restaurants next door so we ended up doing the same. The ambiance is inviting and the staff is very friendly. We also noticed they're very dog friendly which is nice to see at a tasting room. We will definitely be back to enjoy more live music and wine! read more

Loved the band ( Swinging Johnsons) and the wine was amazing. BUT we were looking for an adult venue and there were multiples of kids which took away from the ambiance. We paid a cover charge & the kids were loud and playing all around. Their rowdiness took away from our ability to enjoy the great music. We LOVE kiddos but not in this venue and not so late at night. Please consider making the 7:30 venue adult only. read more

Amazing night! Wine from Central coast and exceptional service. We were in awe of the ambiance of the location, the inviting atmosphere and the gracious owners who welcomed us. We ordered a charcuterie platter to go with our wine flight and really enjoyed the detailed menu explains each pour. This place has live music and we heard about the wine club for locals!!! Rarely write reviews but this place is a gem! Oceanside has needed something like this for a long time. A great place to enjoy a glass of wine and let kids color or read so you have a chance at a conversation. The wine was awesome, service was very friendly. We had the chance to chat with the owners and they were really cool. We also really appreciated the outdoor heaters that are on a self-timer that you have control of!! No more having to haul one over to your table and hope it starts or bother a server to get you one. I can't wait to go again and order some food from a local spot and have it delivered!! read more

They have a rose on draft and different flight options. The wines were enjoyable. My favorite of course was the most expensive. I thought the bottle prices were a little pricey. They just recently opened up but I thought it was weird that the server didn't seem to know much at all about the wines. Questions such as where the wine is made, where the grapes come from. Loved this place! Highly recommend and would absolutely go back. We were going to grab a bite to eat across the street, but the wait was too long, and the restaurant told us that if we go across the street to Coomber, they'll bring our order to us. So we decided to this, and we're SO glad because we had the best experience and really enjoyed this place. It has a great ambiance and the back outdoor patio is gorgeous. It has string lights, live music on Friday nights and is family and dog friendly. Several of the restaurants across the street will deliver your food to you at Coomber, and since Coomber doesn't serve food. We ordered a few bottles of wine which were very nice. I love this place! I met the owners, Skip & Maureen. Nice people. I've only tried two of their Cabernets so far, but they were delicious. Walking into the front, it is nicely decorated with wood and warm accent lights. The servers are very friendly, it is obvious that they like working there. But that is only half of it. Exit the double doors in the back and you'll find a wonderful place for private parties. Very large & private. I hope they put in a grill. But there are many eateries nearby that would be more than happy to deliver. Still, the smell of good steaks on the barbecue would be killer. (wink, wink Skip). I will be back. read more

Unbelievable experience. We have walked/driven by several times before and finally went in. Incredibly friendly staff and incredible wines. Better still, it is kid friendly. Their wine club membership is a gem in terms of value. It'd be worth it for twice the price. Cool little place with some nice wines, but someone there fraudulently charged my Visa card while it was in their possession at the bar! My advice if you go here DO NOT START A TAB AT THE BAR AND LEAVE YOUR CARD IN THIER POSSESSION!!! I called them as soon as I saw that we had two charges from them and was advised to dispute the charge. What a hassle! Two hours of fun and listening to live music turns into a trip to my bank, filling out forms, getting issued new credit cards and having to change all of my automatic charges to this Visa card! My husband and I have walked past this place a few times since we moved into the neighborhood. It did not disappoint! We tried the red and white mix and although I am normally not a Chardonnay fan, they had one that was very lift and crisp, with no oaky taste. The customer service was also great and Allison went out her way to make sure we were having a good time. Not only can I enjoy a crisp glass of Rose on a warm summer evening on the large outdoor patio, with heaters if it gets chilly, I can pair it with my favorite Thai Food, or Pizza delivered from across the way. And then the great live music nightly by so many great musicians. So classy and nicely appointed. Even white table cloths! I love to mingle with the owners and staff and learn more about wines...it feels like family! Especially since I can bring my kiddos and puppy. Did I mention the wine member parties? I believe the official opening date was Friday April 26, 2019 and I made my official visit on Sunday April 28, 2019. We've watched Coomber Craft Wines go up with anticipation. This is place is first class and is a nice addition to Mission Avenue and not a far walk from the beach. Great wine, atmosphere, and beautiful wine tasting room that is very inviting with attention to detail in every aesthetic way from the Persian rugs, wood bean ceilings, wine bottled lighting, grand piano, patio, lockers, private tasting room and Oceanside signature garage doors. You couldn't ask for a better higher end place to grace Oceanside with its presence. Owner Skip Coomber was very welcoming and personable greeting all his guests with a great product to boot. This is a place you'll want to bring your friends and out of town guests. There is no doubt this place will take off and become a hit in Oceanside, especially for all you Zonies from Scottsdale that will be migrating here for the Summer.
