We had dinner here the option night with a large party. Pros: easy to get to from the hotels. We are staying at One Ocean and we could just walk over - 5 min walk. The restaurant is very modern and cute. We loved the vibe and decor. Very spacious - lots of space for tables and seats. The drinks were delicious! I had the Coop Collins and that was tasty. My husband had the chicken basket and got the Mac and cheese side (which was very good) and also the tater tats. Cons: we got there at 8 pm and put our orders in. Our food came about 9:30. A very long time to wait for food to come out. The food portions were VERY small especially for how pricey the menu is. Also, I ordered a salad and soup. Everyone had got their food and ate it and I still didn't have my soup. It took 2 hours to get the cauliflower bisque. Fortunately, they took it off the receipt for us, but it's not like I wanted it anymore. It was already so late. But the soup was delicious. It took another 30 mins to get our receipts. They apologized later and said they had a server leave in the middle of their shift, so I do feel bad for the staff. Also, it's kind of strange that it's mainly seafood on the menu. Came here in the early afternoon for lunch, ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the beef burger. The chicken sandwich was rubber, couldn't be cut, and tasteless. We sat up top outside and had a great time. We got there for happy hour and my only complaint is the happy hour drinks did taste substantially watered down compared to the normal cocktails. Coop 303 is one of my new favorite restaurants. The menu is great, the wine list is nice, the restaurant decor is awesome, and the staff is very friendly. The salads are delicious, but my favorite thing on the menu has to be the fried pimento cheese. Get it. Don't hesitate, just order it. It's the most delicious pimento cheese you've ever had, but put together in a beautiful little package of Pablo bread crumbs and deep fried to a golden brown deliciousness. It's served on top of a bed of pickled veggies that provide a much needed acidic break from the richness of the cheese. The dish is perfection. read more

Wow! I love this place! The first time I walked in I looked at the menu saw all fried food ( I am not into) and left as I thought it was a bit overpriced for majority of fried food, but was I wrong. There are more options than just fried food, my bfs mom ordered a salmon and kale salad ( awesome). Salmon was perfectly grilled and not fried at all. I then split a chicken basket with my bfs dad, BEST FRIED CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE- and I didn't even eat fried food. For appetizers we had the loaded tots ( awesome!!! Has many sauces scallions etc and pulled pork on it ) and the pimiento cheese ball ( fried yes but MY FAVORITE ) . Happy hour had just been created when we went , The cocktails on the menu are so different and refreshing. They also have a great atmosphere. Locked half a block from the beach you can eat upstairs and see the ocean at the bar and they are soon to be opening a rooftop bar I can't wait to try out! The restaurant is ducked off in a nice area coming on the beach. I loved my rooftop experience and the scenery that surrounded me. The restaurant has a great concept but to portion sizes compared to the price is ridiculous. I was in between ordering the short ribs or the pork chops, I had some people beside me and got a view of what an order of short rib looked like and might I say disappointed. I looked at the neighboring table to see how small it was, and boy was I disappointed. I could t pay $33 to still feel hungry. My bf and I ended up getting the chicken and waffles and sigh.... it was just ok. For $20 each, I thought We were getting a full sized waffle and chicken pieces, but ended up getting 2 small tenders and a half waffle with a bunch of unnecessary jellies and crème on the side. The food wasn't worth our bill but the restaurant and waiter was a great experience for me. Yea the appetizer wasn't worth it for $12. I was looking for the meat in the slider. Hmmmmm, where do I begin, the food or the service??? I can't recall better service than my wife and I received at Coop 303. Our waitress was amazing. She was knowledgeable about the menu, considerate, and funny. She explained in detail all major items in the menu and gave great recommendations for pairings with food and alcohol. This was the best fried chicken I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Cooked to perfection and packed with flavor! I recommend the 4 piece chicken basket so you can experience all parts of the chicken. As a collard green expert, I know collard greens and I can say these are top notch. Nice addition to the restaurant scene in Neptune Beach. Was craving fried chicken and heard theirs was delicious so decided to give it a try. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken salad. The chicken was moist, perfectly fried and had me wishing I would have ordered the chicken and waffles once I saw it pass by. My salad came with watermelon, cucumbers and radishes but I was disappointed how salty the salad greens were. Not sure if they added salt or if it was the dressing but wouldn't order it again. Can't beat the $2 happy hour Yuengling drafts from 2-6 PM. Had some interesting things on the menu and would like to come back and try the fried pimiento cheese, chicken and waffles or the crispy salmon. read more

A Disappointment food-wise, and quite empty When my husband and I went there this week the downstairs had a group in closed company and no one in the restaurant area at the left. We took the elevator up and noticed the nice open patio, but it was too chilly to sit there, so we entered the area straight ahead to choose a table But the bartender told us that we had to have permission from a higher up to sit there! So we reluctantly perched on stools at the bar, ordered drinks and looked over the restaurant's menu. We were lucky to be seated on the 2nd floor in a nice table for two in perfect view of the huge upstairs bar (there's a huge downstairs bar too) and looking out the balcony with great great views! Interesting. My family and I went to check out Al's newest restaurant- Coop 303 this Saturday evening around 5:30. We waited for about 45 minutes or so, had a couple cocktails and were eventually seated. The buildout here is quite nice but even though the designer saw fit to put some sound dampening panels on the ceiling of the dining room, this place is one of the loudest restaurants I have been in. We had the loaded tots and the truffle popcorn. Both were fantastic. The addition of the pork really pulled together what was already a very tasty starter. We ordered a kids Mac n cheese which the manager brought out immediately- definite props for that. Hungry toddlers are tough to deal with. My wife ordered the chicken and waffles and I got the lamb on the recommendation of our server, Will. My brother in law ordered the 4pc chicken dinner. The food is extremely slow outdo the kitchen but in the restaurants defense it was super busy on a Saturday . The whole meal was excellent. Because of the wait and all- I was feeling a little dijected writing this review but daaaaaaamn. The food was amazing! Like very very good. The eagle was a little soggy but it had bacon baked in !!! However, I decided to try it for my own opinion and I'm so glad that I did The calamari was cooked to perfection tasty and flavorful. I highly recommend it. The honey glaze salmon was delicious and The shrimp jambalaya was spicy and very good. Ok I was initially hesitant to visit here because of a bad review I read and now I think that person was totally crazy lol! We booked a table for 7 at Coop303 for my sister's 30th Birthday. The surprise was I had also hired a lifestyle photographer to come in and document the brunch for us! Coop 303's staff totally accommodated our table being by the best lighting and was patient with us when we got up to take pics, etc. They even let us pop off confetti poppers inside the restaurant! The drinks were delicious and the food was even better! We had appetizers as well as meals from the lunch & brunch menus and no one's meal was disappointing! The decor and vibe was incredible. There's a rooftop too- we didn't eat up there this time because of the heat but will definitely the next time we visit! Cannot recommend enough- both for them accommodating my sister's special day and for the incredible food, drinks, and service! We got hungry as we were strolling along the beach and streets and ended up here. We were immediately seated as it was still early, about 5pm on 4th of July. The server greeted us and gave us our drinks. I ordered the specialty of the day Woohoo with risotto and my husband ordered the chicken. My fish was good, but there was so little risotto in my opinion. My husband enjoyed his chicken as it came with 4 pieces, Mac and cheese and fries. This place was known for the chicken, the server had told us. We would have given 4 stars, but I waited a long time to get a water refill, and since a large family came in, we waited just as long to get the bill. So my roommate and I went here after the beach. We sat down outside on the patio because we have the dogs. I was a little thrown off that the entire outdoor area including the tables were all black. Now if this was a normal summer day in Florida we would have been dying because there was no shade and even the tables are black so the sun is just beating down. Today was only 70 degrees and we were still pretty freaking hot. So we ordered the loaded tots which were awesome. My roommate got the quesadilla with pork, she loved it. My other friend got the chicken and waffles and loved it. I got the 303 chicken sandwich. Now taste-wise, the sandwich was really awesome. However, I had to get a completely separate second order to go because I couldn't eat the first one. The 303 chicken sandwich has like a kimchi on it and some sauce. While the bun have been toasted, it was still extremely soggy within the first 5 minutes of getting my meal. It was literally falling apart and I just couldn't eat it. Maybe two three bites of it so I knew it tasted good but I hated that I couldn't eat it without completely being covered in it. Now I have the to-go order in my fridge and I'm really excited to eat the rest of it. So if you get the 303 chicken sandwich, consider asking for the pieces of it separate because it will come apart on you when you eat it. I really appreciated that they made me a completely new order and kept it separate. They only charged me for the one meal. read more

So this was my very first time visiting Coop. It was for a friends birthday dinner, and we made a reservation for 7:30pm. When we arrived they informed us that another party was in our area and they were trying to get them to leave. They told us that the party was not leaving and they needed to get them out. After a 40 minute wait we were able to sit for dinner. The appetizers came fairly quickly and were pretty good. We ordered the calamari and it was pretty good. Sadly our actual meal took a very long time. We waited for almost 2 hours for our meal, and it was cold when it arrived. So for the long wait and cold food I'd have to give it 3 stars. From the complimentary parking to the understated, classy, yet unpretentious decor to fantastic service and beautifully presented, perfectly cooked food...Coop 303 did not disappoint! We ordered the pork belly and "Peaches N Cream" apps, then filet mignon (prepared precisely as ordered), collard greens (delicious) and finished off with the Vanilla Bread Pudding for dessert. They have a full bar and decent wine list. All of it was perfection. The only (minor) downside was sitting outside tiny gnats were attracted to our wine. Perhaps a little citronella candle would help. The staff was immediately accommodating and moved us inside. No harm, no foul. Coop 303 has amazing food, terrific service and engaging atmosphere. We went to Coop 303 tonight after not being able to get there for awhile! We had reservations for an outdoor table and were seated right away. All staff had masks on and everyone was socially distanced. We got the calamari as an appetizer. It was good but rather a small portion and the menu said it had chicharrons but we had none in ours! My husband got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Salad and enjoyed the watermelon in it and the freshly made dressing. My daughter had the short ribs which she liked very much. I had the 4 piece Fried Chicken basket. I chose the cheddar biscuits and black-eyed peas as sides. The chicken was good bu the pieces were pretty tiny! Great experience. We got the chance to try the newly opened modern southern restaurant in Atlantic Beach. The space is huge with lots of seating and two bars. We started the meal with the small bites. I being truffle obsessed of course went with the truffle popcorn. It a small portion but a perfect little snack for sure. Then based off our servers recommendation I went with the Peaches n Cream appetizer. It was great dish served with 3 thin fried green tomatoes two being topped with burrata, a peach jam and micro greens. Not exactly sure why they didnt dress the third tomato the same but it was great dish. And the mustard balsamic drizzle truly finished off the dish. I was torn for the dinner selection so with the help of our server I was able to get the best of both worlds. I order the Chicken N Waffles which is a classic that I always like trying. This dish had a slight twist with bacon in the waffle and a sweet onion jam served on the side. My only complaint is I would like to have more of the sauce to drizzle on the large waffle. But this is a personal preference. And for my second entree choice I was able to try the Truffle Mascarpone Grits thanks to our amazing server. These were out of this world good. It was super creamy with still a slight crunch here and there and it was bursting with truffle flavor. I could eat these every day and surely will order ever visit. read more

I had a special dinner at Coop 303 on Valentine's day. All things being equal, I would have expected to give this restaurant a much higher ranking as the ambiance was good to perfect. We sat in a booth, which allowed for privacy and the ability to enjoy the establishment's energy. However, if we would have been seated at the non-booth tables, I may have had a much different perspective, and my ultimate rating would have actually been worse. The service was friendly and sound, and as I said, the establishment was clean and contemporary, which allowed for a start in the right direction. So why the 3-star rating? It all comes down to food. Prices are one thing, but the quality is another. My wife had one of the specials, which was the Salmon Belly with a Sweet Potato hash? I think that was what they called it? The Salmon was cooked well, but it was the belly; it was more forgiving than it should have been considering that my wife ordered it Medium Rare, and the cook came back straight to a bit over Medium. Again, because it was the belly, my wife enjoyed the salmon without acknowledging that it was overcooked, which would have been a lot more evident if it wasn't the belly. The biggest issue was the Sweet Potato Hash. The diced pieces were al dente, meaning, in essence, they were undercooked. This should never be the case with a meal priced at $35, but unfortunately, it was. Then there was my meal. The restaurant chose to have Valentine's day exclusive four-course dinner. They took items off the regular menu like soup and made the only soup exclusively for the special four-course arrangement. Ironically as a soup lover, this was the primary reason I selected Valentine's Day option. So then to the meal. In the four-course preparation, I had the ability to choose from multiple selections in the apps, salad & soup, Main and desert sections of a specially prepared menu. So for my valentine's day dinner, I chose the following: - Shrimp Appetizer with a smoked apple slaw sauce accouterment - Cauliflower Bisque or Cream of Cauliflower (however they called it) - Seared Scallops over a Mushroom Risotto - Cheese Cake with a Strawberry Compote So what went right? Well, the cook on the scallops was great, but that may really have been it. The shrimp of the shrimp appetizer was soft and slightly mushy - what does this mean? Severely overcooked if not, in fact, bad. But outside of this, the other ridiculous thing is that there was strictly one shrimp. The menu made the point that they were Jumbo shrimp but never, ever have I ever ordered an appetizer with shrimp where there was only one shrimp in the appetizer. This was crazy but foreshadowed things to come. The soup. I don't recall if the soup indicated it was with Roasted Cauliflower. But along with the cauliflower, it said nothing about having roasted garlic. Now garlic on its own is not a problem, but I could tell by the taste that it not only had roasted garlic, but it had burnt minced roasted garlic, which as anyone who has ever burnt minced garlic will know, is a bitter and overpowering taste. This was exactly what I tasted and, in fact, was the primary flavor of the soup. In essence, it was terrible! I didn't send it back because my philosophy is especially around expensive restaurants; if you can't get it right the first time, it's not worth sending back because, considering the price point of the establishment, it shouldn't have ever been wrong by the time it got to me. If it was, it isn't worth sending back because they probably can't get it right. Then moving on to the good note of my meal. The Scallops - cooked well, good sear and from this fantastic. But what it was on was definitely not Risotto, and what was there was bland and gross. Oh, I ate it all because there wasn't much there (about a ladle full underneath the four sea scallops prepared). The entire meal could have been held in my palm, which, if you know me, is a pretty small palm. Again, small portion sizes and underwhelming food. The Cheese Cake really did take the cake. My quote to my wife was that the Cheesecake looked like the Ski Slope of Cheese Cakes. This I knew meant the Cheese Cake fell as it cooked either, I would assume due to cooking or preparation or could have been both unfortunately before we got the cheesecake my wife ordered their creme brulee because according to our waiter, the desserts were made in house and fresh and she likes creme brulee. So what was the result of the desserts? The cheesecake was more like a Quiche than a Cheese Cake, and the Creme Brulee was gritty versus smooth and silky, which is what they both should have been. It was a good start from the physical of the restaurant, but a bad follow through on the most important part, which was the food, and the portion sizes were cheap and small, especially on the special V-Day menu.
