Beautiful oceanfront restaurant with incredible views! One thing to keep in mind is that the second-floor dining area is smaller than I expected, so seating is limited. I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. If the weather is nice, request a table along the side of the dining room for some of the best ocean views. The third-floor rooftop lounge was one of my favorite parts of the experience. It's first come, first served, so reservations aren't available, but there's plenty of seating with comfortable couches, high-top tables, fire pits, and a full bar. The views from the rooftop are even more spectacular. We started with the cornbread and the cheese board as appetizers. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Agave Braised Short Rib and absolutely loved it, while I had the Scallops & Grits. The food wasn't my personal favorite overall, but everyone has different tastes. For dessert, we shared the seasonal bread pudding--it was very sweet, generously portioned, and easily big enough to share. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I came here with a group of girls on a Thursday to end our girls' night. We originally wanted to check out the rooftop bar but was told that the bar was closed up there and it was too dark outside to see the ocean. So we decided to just sit inside for an appetizer and drinks. I got a cup of she crab soup and a nonalcoholic drink that tastes similar to a pina colada. The she crab soup tasted good. I initially thought they added what felt like popping boba into the soup which made for an interesting texture. It turns out it was actually smoked trout caviar which is something I never had before. Had Happy Hr and dinner with friends on a Friday. Unfortunately it was raining so the rooftop was closed so we just went to the restaurant. Bartenders were super friendly and the restaurant is really beautiful. Had nice views of the beach even though it was gloomy. We shared the cornbread which was nice and warm and slightly crispy and I got the fish entree. Thoroughly enjoyed the crusted fish and veggies. We also shared a chocolate dessert with ice cream. I have dined here a few times and have been impressed by the food, beverage, and the service each time. The space is definitely high end so you can absolutely dress up to enjoy a sit down meal. Additionally, the bar is a little more relaxed and I have seen some Sunkissed beach go-ers enjoying the bar fresh out the shower haha I highly recommend the corn bread appetizer- it comes with lovely whipped butter. It was very dry. - She crab soup was very nice because of the amount of lump crab in it. Details: The food and drinks is over priced for what you get. Food only the slightest hint above average but when you take into account the price, we personally would expect more flavor for that price point. We made reservations because we were told that it can fill up. It did actually fill up later in the evening so we do recommend reservations. We were also able to request a table with a view which really helped increase our enjoyment of the location. Parking: The parking situation is very confusing. We were told that there was only minimal parking for restaurant visitors and hotel guests. The website says that there's complimentary valet parking so this seems to be in direct opposition to what is on the website. We were guests at the hotel so we ended up taking the shuttle which was convenient but we do wish the parking situation was clearer. Service: The service was good. We liked that we were not bothered frequently. The server checked in on us at the appropriate amount of times, and the spacing of the dishes was also good, which we really appreciate it. read more

We had a lovely dinner, even though it started off a bit rocky after not getting an outdoor table upon request. There were plenty of unoccupied tables on the deck and we ended up being crammed at a 4 top with 5 people inside. We were with Cabana club members and that didn't make a difference. We got over it and dealt with the seating situation. We loved the She Crab soup, a twist on New England clam chowder with crab. Dinner was all served with fresh ingredients. Short ribs, fresh catch and butternut squash ravioli did not disappoint. Servers were professional and friendly. Thank you Jill and Jesus for your attention. You made up for the lack of caring from the hostess and manager. They really should have gone out of their way to make us happy with seating especially since no one l ever took those outside tables and they went empty. I had one of the most depressing meals here, mostly because of my lame dining companion, but also because of the experience. I'm glad I didn't have this bad date at a place I actually liked. But there is always some good in everything bad: Valet parking was nice. The view is amazing. And running into neighbors, colleagues and friends at the roof top bar afterwards was a nice redemption for the night. The prices are very high. The food is OK. The drinks were trying to be good but lacked punch. The best part of the meal was the crisp salad. Skip the octopus shrimp app. Cheese empanadas didn't live up to expectations. Poke bowl was run of the mill. The daily catch was $48 and nothing spesh. The service was a little absent. But that's perhaps because they could tell that this was not a happy couple and kept their distance. The cherry on top for this horrible date night was a month later, getting accused of having a tryst at a Marriott because that's what the restaurant charge shows up as, on your credit card statement. I will always remember 1912 as the site of a final date in a relationship that needed to end. read more

Instead of being honest and telling us, there's no tables available by the window they created one by the sliding glass door that the servers go in and out to serve the people on the patio. The other side is facing the kitchen where the servers walk back-and-forth to get the food and the guest go in and out of the door right next to my husband in order to go to the bathroom. The price was too high for this aggravation. Service was absolutely terrible. In addition they had one server working her butt off for so many tables she had to do inside ants outside. I think the Marriott owns this property and shame on you Marriott. We did wait a half an hour for a server to take our order not to mention the aggravation of all the hot air are blowing on us at the table, the makeshift table by the window. We would like a refund, but like everybody would like a refund whoever would experience this and we will never get it. And we will never go back and we want everyone to know that if you're gonna ask for a table with the window, you need to lie and tell them you are a party of four. read more

Wow what a place! I am living in Colorado right now and was in the need for some fresh seafood. 1912 did the trick. We ordered their east coast oysters to start, oysters are one of my favorite foods. They did not disappoint we were off to a great start! For our entrees I got their Kinilaw. I really like ceviche and dishes like that, which is what the Kinilaw was. It was INCREDIBLE. Totally cured my longing for some good seafood! My husband got there catch of the day, he loved it! I also got there blossom on the boulevard to drink. It was so good and the presentation made it even better! The restaurant was very clean and had nice decor. We sat outside because the view is literally the beach! Great happy hour which not just reduced prices on drinks but also food! Only thing I can say if I am being nit-picky is I wish that the tiramisu crème brûlée had the layering that a typical tiramisu has instead of just a tiramisu flavored pudding. First timer here! Love love love the view! I read through the reviews, knowing that the place would be busy so I called ahead and made a reservation for nine of us. When we arrived at 4 PM the place was empty because they were just opened but soon they got really crowded, which makes the room lively. They didn't have live music the night that I went so that was a bummer. We had a reservation for the outside table but because it was cold, they accommodated us to dine inside the private room. Starting out, we shared the Rockefeller oysters, I couldn't really taste the oyster due to the sauce being over-powered. Next is the flatbread, which is flavorful & I enjoyed those more. Entree I also tried the catch of the day, which was grilled fish with a bed of risotto. The fish was on the bland side, but the risotto was really good. I also had their IPA beer, super refreshing with a hint of orange. The cocktails are yummy too but definitely pricey! The ambiance and decor are lovely. Really nice vibe in the place. The menu was well designed and had a nice selection of options. But, we found the food not to our taste. Not bad exactly, but a little on the sweet side - even my seafood and veggie heavy entree tasted like it had some sugar in the sauce. We got a dozen oysters and they looked like they had been sitting out for a while. They were dry and unusually small. The service was very friendly, but sluggish. The waits for drinks and food were a little too long. What frustrated us the most was that this place bills itself as a craft cocktail bar. It is not. The bartenders did not seem very knowledgeable about cocktails and they did not have the ingredients to even make several classic/common cocktails. And the ingredients they did have were basic. If you are really into good cocktails, keep looking. This place was fine, but nothing to write home about. read more

There were seven tables available and the hostess refused to seat us not once, but twice. The setting is beautiful the service is terrible. Menu is overpriced. Came into 1912 on a Friday night for the first time. We made sure to make a reservation ahead of time but came early so we could get a drink on the rooftop before dinner. We arrived and valet is the only option for parking so just a tip there. Most the the valets to take Venmo which made it very convenient for us since I never have cash. We got to the rooftop found a spot and started looking over the drink menu. Drinks are on the pricey side but makes sense you are paying for the view. The Old Fashioned wasn't doing to for me so I went with a Dirty Vodka Martini with Bleu Cheese Olives. Our drinks same out and I will say it was a good sized martini and it was good too. I will say the Bleu Cheese in the Olives were pretty good too. Better then the last few I have had. We then came down for dinner and I made sure to order another martini since I like the first one so much and it was just as good as the first. We then had to go with a few apps of course. We went with the Hearth Baked Skillet Corn Bread and the 1912 Empanadas. Our appetizer came out with about 10 minutes. Both we good for sure. I thought the empanadas we a little dry but that happens with pulled meat but they do come with a Datil Aioli and Chimichurri which really helped out with that. The Corn Bread didn't blow me away either but the Jams and Butter Sugar Cinnamon Butter again helped to enhance it. I was have a tough time trying to figure out what to get for my entrée so I asked our waitress about the Pan Seared Daily Catch she told me it was Triple Tail which she said is simple to Mahi, Grouper, and Snapper which I love so I went for it. Plus it same with Purple Grits and I do love my seafood and grits. Once my food came out it looked great and they also did a great job with the plating. The sear on the Triple Tail was very well done and gave it a nice crisp. The only problem there was I think it had gotten over cooked because of that. There were a number of dry bites for sure but I will say the Carrot Puree and once again those Purple Grits did help that part out. I will say we had a nice dinner and was great seeing friends. Maybe next time though we would come back for just drinks and the beach views since none of the food blew me away and like it said early it is pricey. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting 1912 Ocean Bar & Rooftop Lounge for the first time in September. My friends and I were celebrating our birthdays (3 of us). First, we found a couch without a view. We ordered drinks, which were pretty pricey, $16-$18. Then a few seats along the front, with an ocean view, were available. I hopped on it and we moved. The view was amazing and the weather was perfect with the sun nearly setting. Our server seemed overwhelmed, so we only had one drink. I suggest hiring a few more servers as this spot was crowded. I will go back again, but will probably stick with beer or a seltzer next time as the cocktails were a little too much for me. read more

We really enjoyed drinks and dinner at the 1912 Ocean Bar and Rooftop on December 23, 2023. We arrived at our reservation time and took the elevator up to the restaurant. It was a little too chilly and windy to sit outside, but I did wander out there to enjoy the view for a few minutes. The sight and sound of the ocean was mesmerizing. We perused the extensive drink menu and the guys each ordered a Bourbon Smoke cocktail and us ladies decided to share a bottle of the Quilt Cabernet. We all enjoyed our drinks. For dinner, scallops and a shrimp dish was ordered. Hubby and I are accustomed to sharing meals these days to keep the calories at bay and quite frankly we can't eat that much - food portions at restaurants are crazy huge. We decided to share the Autumn Crisp Salad and the Pan Seared Daily Catch, which was bass. They served the fish we were sharing in a beautifully presented plate for each of us and it was delicious. Beautiful Roof top bar!! We stopped in for a drink and the view is killer! It seems like this is a brand new building? You valet your car ( only option?) walk in go up the elevator to the top and wow so pretty! It was packed up there, lots of people coming and going but we got drinks pretty fast the server was great and hustlin, drinks are quite expensive ($12-20 per drink) but your kinda paying for the ambiance too I guess. Located on Ponte Vedra Beach, this restaurant has knocked it outside the park! Valet Parking is so convenient! The building has a elevator and 3 floors including the rooftop bar with an amazing view. Reservations are required for now, so call before you go. We were seated outside under the fans and even though it was 98*, we were very comfortable. Business casual was the attire and the ocean view again, beautiful! Service was swift and on point. Our waitress kept our water glasses full . We ordered the she crab soup which is incredible. Mah Wife and I decided to have a date night last night. The place was busy. Both the rooftop on the third floor and the main restaurant on the second floor were packed and lively. We got a table on the outdoor dining area just on the second floor. There was a nice breeze coming from the Atlantic and each table had ceiling fans so it wasn't that bad. Plus it was nice and quiet and we could carry on a conversation in a normal tone. We started things off with some mocktails. She got the Faux-Pache. It's made with Fever Tree Ginger Beer, pineapple, lime, cinnamon, and mint. I had the Almond Sangria Fizz made with Orgeat, white grapes, orange, lemon, lime, and club soda. Both mocktails were fantastic and refreshing, but we both liked the Almond Sangria Fizz for its light fruitiness. For starters we shared the Summer Crisp Salad and She Crab Soup. The Summer Crisp salad is made with a variety of summer lettuces, pecans, blistered grapes, bacon vinaigrette, and a fried piece of scamorza cheese. This was a tasty salad. I loved the blistered grapes and fried cheese. The She Crab soup was stunning. It's made with lump crab, roe, chives, sherry and garnished with a pane carasau. It looked beautiful and tasted like the ocean. It had so much crab and the roe was a nice pop of texture and saltiness. A must-have for every meal. Since Mah Wife is trying to eat healthier, she got the 1912 "Meatloaf," a plant-based meatloaf with an heirloom tomato sauce, roasted fingerling potatoes, and charred veggies. I'm not a fan of Beyond Meat, so this wasn't for me, but she liked it. Since I'm not looking to eat healthier, I got the Lobster Mac & Cheese. So creamy and delicious. And lest you think it's just small bits of lobster, fear not. There were whole claws and other large chunks of lobster meat swimming in that cheese sauce. So we went to the rooftop bar to get a drink on a beautiful day. The scenery was amazing! Beautiful views and a nice atmosphere with live music. It took a long time for someone to come over to take our order but it looked like they were hit all at once, so no big deal. We ordered a drink and a flat bread. The drink took about a half hour and after another half hour we asked where the flatbread was. We were told that it never got put in to their system. So we spent an hour there for one weak drink cause we cancelled the flatbread, but the scenery was beautiful. My criticism is if you are going to charge premium prices then you should have good service. This visit was not good service, but the scenery was beautiful! read more

The menu and location are absolutely one of the best in Florida. The staff were incredible, attentive and were particularly helpful in navigating allergies or ingredients of the meals. We had drinks on the roof top deck. It was a quiet night beautiful moonlight, ambiance was lovely. The drinks were awful. I ordered a dirty martini with top vodka. It was served in a low wine glass. If you charge over $20 for a beverage be sure you have the right glassware. A stemless martini would have been acceptable. The other two beverage were not good at all, we had to send one back completely. They other we had the bartender fit. They were from the specialty menu. One was not even drinkable. It was $80 for three drinks and a flat bread. And the drinks were sub par. read more
