Was surprised after seeing the reviews that we found Coop 303 to be just average. I had the Mahi Mahi fish and chips which was very tasty and flavorful. However, my wife had the rosemary chicken which tasted like an average rotisserie chicken with green beans that lacked any flavor. We did have the fried green tomatoes which were good but not near the best we have had in the area. Finally, we had some cheddar biscuits which had zero cheddar taste. I will say that the drinks were made well and had good flavor. The best part of the evening was our waitress named Taylor. We know these times are hard for waitresses because of mask mandates and the inability to truly interact with customers. Taylor checked on us repeatedly and took care of every request we had. She was very pleasant and courteous and we never lacked for anything. She is a true asset for Coop 303. Although our meal was average, our experience was great. read more

NOTE: This review is from about a year ago-I just retrieved the lost draft! Have not been back to Coop 303 since, but looking forward to it. Our first visit on a Tuesday night...figured it wouldn't be crowded; however, it was hoppin! But we could easily carry on a conversation at our first floor table - until a very large party was seated right in the middle of the room. The acoustics do not lend themselves to peace & quiet. Fortunately we were almost done at that point. One of my pet peeves, not being able to hear yourself (or others) talk in a restaurant. Anyway! We had a nice little window seat and our server, Autumn, was great. Only a couple of hiccups from the "runner" who forgot to bring us plates for our appetizer and spoons for our dessert. There are a few booths (which I prefer, but they were occupied) there in the same room... What I really like about these booths is they were more or less partially enclosed. Maybe a little less noisy and more private. We walked upstairs to see what was happening there. Definitely a calmer, gentler experience, even with the televisions on! You will find a bar and small tables inside and a tiny outdoor balcony with several seating options. Oh, and flying pigs on the wall! Okay, on to the vittles!! We tried the Peaches & Cream fried green tomatoes. I am not a raw tomato fan (even though I enjoy cooked tomatoes in just about anything) and fried tomatoes are dangerously close to raw for me lol. But I have to say, these were definitely different! Not sure I would have even known they were tomatoes, if I hadn't read it on the menu. The combination of flavors (tomatoes, peaches, balsamic vinegar, burrata cheese) might sound a little strange. Unique for sure, but it was good! I had the basket of fried chicken. It arrived much faster than expected, and it was very hot! And stayed hot for a while. The chicken was perfectly executed... crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. The only thing I did not like was the pickle flavor! Too overpowering. I guess the chicken is marinated in pickle brine. A matter of taste, I suppose. Since I dug this incomplete forgotten review out of the archives, unfortunately I do not recall what Daniel had for dinner that night! I do know he enjoyed it though. There seems to be a renaissance of sorts to make old things new again in the restaurant industry. Reinventing the (cheese) wheel, so to speak lol. Things like Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Chicken have been prepared & enjoyed in Southern kitchens for ages, minus the "fancy" touches. While I applaud the movement to make what some might consider tired or boring items more interesting, you can't go wrong with the originals either. Everyone has their own little spin on how they cook certain items, and you might enjoy The Coop's take on these popular staples. Everything was excellent! I had three different cocktails; my favorite was the Helen Dobson. For snacks the truffle popcorn was so yummy! My main dish was the braised short ribs over hop n johns risotto and I have had nothing like it. It was incredible. For dessert, I had the chocolate waffle with coffee ice cream and brittle. This was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The portions were perfect. Not too much not too little. I can't wait to trying more from the menu. I highly recommend coming here. read more

This is such a great place for a nice meal. The specialty cocktails are really delicious and several options to choose from. We tried the bless your heart and the for drinks which were so yummy and good sized. The portions were large and easily filled us up! (See picture attached). So Made reservations (specifically rooftop) for 6 pm tonight for a lil Birthday dinner (4 of us) Arrived at 5:45 and had drinks, at 6 we were advised our table hadn't left yet and should be ready in 10 minutes. We were again advised it would be longer as this table had been there for 2 hours already, I asked well other tables were clearing and could we have one of them ? I was told those tables were reserved for people behind us. Really !!!!! So we were sat downstairs by the kitchen ( YAY ) I called the Manager later tonight and pretty much so he couldn't do anything about it except give us a free dinner. Well lets start off with the elephant in the room, better yet the grub on the plate. My daughter's roommate was horrified when a grub crawled out of the greens on her plate. Yes it was alive!!! What the..... Our waitress did seem concerned and got a manager or something. He made the comment that should not have happen, duh. I would hope not, was the grub wrangler out that day. They did comp her dish but charged her for her bowl of soup and glass of wine she needed to calm her nerves. Management just didn't seem to care. I think they should have handled it way better. Coop 303 is not modest, in any way. And there is a reason for that...because they should be darn proud of themselves. I went for a late lunch with family and we were taken care of like it was prime time. We were sold on each dish and cocktail that was pitched. Sadly, we weren't able to try them all,but I am quite sure I will be back. Now, for the good stuff...the food. Each dish ring true. This is my second visit to Coop 303 and once again it did not disappoint. The menu was limited due to the current glitch in the matrix, but what they had was amazing. My legal department (wife) had a chicken Sammy and she loved it I had the pork chop with mushroom leek risotto. Flavors were spot on and seasoning was well balanced. You have to try the loaded tater tots. It's a meal in itself. Decadent and very filling. Damn good. Service has been impeccable both times. Love this place. read more

It's our first time eating here and the ambiance and decor I would consider contempo chic. The service is great and waiter is knowledgeable about the menu. The food is excellent. The PEACHES & CREAM which is fried green tomatoes, burrata cheese, peach jam, and mustard balsamic is MUST TRY. The calamari is good but needs just a little bit more acid to push it and it didn't Need the tomatoes. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the sides were acceptable. We will be back to try the rest of the menu especially the desserts... but wait we decided to try the VANILLA BREAD PUDDING (I consider my self a bread pudding snob) which is fresh blueberries, local brioche, bourbon caramel, cider anglaise, buttermilk chantilly, and vanilla ice cream... how did it taste?.... AMAZING and have to say it has pushed RIVER & POST'S bread pudding to 3rd place in my list and BISCOTTIS'S bread pudding is still numero 1! read more

The worst drinks at the beach. I have been their 2 times, and each time it was the same. Sat at the bar ordered two drinks. Each one was made with almost no alcohol. A 1/2 to 3/4 shot. Very pretty and a good show( that is the reason for the 2 stars). But you need to make a better drink for me to come back. read more

Made reservations @ 5:30 for New Year's Eve with my parents. We got upstairs seats on the balcony and even though the wind was chilly the heaters kept us nice and warm! We ordered fillets and the chicken basket. All the food was delicious. Then we ordered a dessert and that's where it went downhill. It took an hour for our dessert to come out and it was only a scoop of ice cream with a half piece of bacon and a burnt butterscotch bar. We should have left after we ate dinner and got dessert somewhere else but we loved the ambiance so much we decided to stay. Other than the dessert experience, it was a very lovely time! Underwhelming. That's the word that kept coming to mind for everything we tried. We got the "peaches and cream" fried green tomatoes and they were JUST OK. Nothing phenomenal. Also got the blackened fish sandwich and it too was JUST OK. Lastly, I tried the chicken and waffle and I'm not sure it's because I'm From Tennessee and we actually know good chicken and waffles or if this one was just totally sub-par. However, it's SO DAMN DRY. Who serves chicken and waffles with no syrup!? They serve it with a bunch of sauces that aren't bad but also don't make a lot of sense with the dish.. maple crema tasted like Greek yogurt with a hint of maple flavor. Not exactly what you want to tie your chicken and waffle dish together. The chicken was flavorful itself but the coating was gross. Also, we almost had the place to ourselves during lunch time and our server was hardly present. Food came quickly but he was MIA. Place is cute and clean but overall we're totally ok with not coming here again or telling our friends to try it out. read more

Coop 303 is a nice 'home-y' place out at the beach. Very nice ambiance and nice staff. More than one person came to the table to check if we were doing okay, or if we needed anything. We went to a lunch service. Our server, Francis (shoutout; sorry for spelling) was very nice and informative of the menu. I ordered their burger added gouda cheese and side of streak fries. Burger was juicy and fresh, steak fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The wife ordered the 4 piece chicken with side of Mac and cheese and cheddar biscuits. She failed to use the spicy honey at first and felt that the chicken was salty but after using the honey she really liked it. She does not like spicy but was able to tolerate they spicy honey. The pieces weren't too big but because it came with four pieces it was enough to fill her and save one and a half pieces to take home. We BOTH enjoyed the Mac and cheese. I asked what was in it and supposedly it contained 4-6 different types cheeses. It had a good bright, Smokey taste to it. I don't know else how to describe it, so I suggest you just order it and see for yourself. The cheddar biscuit, we both thought it was okay. It was very small, like 1-1.5 inches and you only get 2. It was pretty dry. So I would hold off on the cheddar biscuit unless you like small and dry biscuits. Aside from that it was a nice experience. Took my sister here for her birthday. the waitress seemed as though she wanted to go home; generally unfriendly and unsmiling right away. Ordered drinks then dinner which came 2 minutes after the drinks. The scallops would hAve been delicious were they not undercooked. I ordered the "crispy flounder" which turned out to be deep fried and overcooked and dry. we pushed forward and ordered the bread pudding which would have been delicious had it been hot rather than cool. unfortunately to top it off the young gal delivering all the food looked like she was ready for Halloween with bizarre makeup and long sharply pointed greeen nails; unsanitary and inappropriate for the setting. I am a local and spoke to the manager who offered no recompense for the $120 tab of mediocre food. He was receptive however and promised to address the issues. not sure I will risk it again. very disappointing. read more

We had high expectations visiting Coop 303 as this was our second visit. We tried to reserve ahead of time but were not able to find any reservations on Mother's Day. So we decided to try our luck. The hostess at the front desk gave us a earful that they don't have any availability and then quipped that they need reservations 30 days in advance. Lol. We decided to try the wait in case someone was no show. There were plenty of tables available either reserved signs so I don't know if there is a pretense of over booking being created by the restaurant management or actual demand. Within 10 minutes the hostess shows up saying she has found a spot on a shared table on the top deck. We were fine with the seating. The food was another story. We ordered chicken waffles and coop Benedict. The chicken was dry in both orders and the Benedict was missing onion rings that part of the dish. We had to remind the server that the Benedict order does not seem right. She pleaded ignorance but eventually served onion rings on the side. We were thoroughly disappointed by this time. I wish we had walked down the the street to eat at ocean one restaurant. Coop 303 is grossly overrated and needs significant training of their hostess and wait staff. Try some of then other restaurants in Atlantic beach you will get a better experience. read more

Two weeks ago my husband and I strolled into Coop 303 for lunch (it was our anniversary) before heading to the beach. Ty was our waiter and made us feel right at home. He was quick to offer suggestions for a bottle of wine and an appetizer. We could not have been happier! The "peaches and cream" appetizer is amazing and would definitely recommend to others. We had such a nice time on our anniversary that we decided to bring a group of my husbands clients and co-workers to the restaurant last Friday. We asked for Ty again - and again he was wonderful. I truly could not ask for a more attentive waiter. He was helpful, funny, and patient with each person. We had a great meal once again - the chicken and waffles (with the honey hot sauce at the bar) was delicious!! We will definitely be heading back soon!! read more

I had a very nice time for my first experience at Coop 303. My 2 favorite guy friends and I decided to try Coop 303 for a celebratory dinner. One of my friends recently got a promotion and I bought my first property. As soon as you walk in, you see amazing lights illuminating the restaurant's name. The servers are pleasant and you can tell that thought was put into the food and beverages. I tried the Jookhouse and Operation Bootstrap cocktails. The Jookhouse tasted a little like medicine, so my friend with the No Soul switched with me. My favorite cocktail of the evening, however, was Operation Bootstrap. The gin and other ingredients made it fresh, but calming. For appetizers, we have the peaches and cream fried green tomatoes and their jerky. The green tomatoes were awesome. The sweetness from the peaches and cheese against the balsamic glaze was a nice balance. I also ordered the salmon special for the evening with broccolini, couscous and chimmichuri sauce. The salmon and broccolini was amazing, but I could've done without the couscous. That won't stop me from wanting to visit again. I mean, did you see that happy hour?! read more

What can I say about here? I have both positives and negatives, but I can 100% say that the positives outweigh the negatives by a LONG shot. The food was downright incredible, the menu is not expansive and yet it was hard to pick between items, since they all sounds amazing. I ended up with the short ribs and the steak. Everything from the appetizers knocked it out if the park for me. However, entrees is when I hit a bit of a snag, the steak wasn't seasoned at all! My mom told me when I first started cooking, burgers and then later steaks, that all a good steak(or burger) needs is salt and pepper and of course to be cooked medium rare. However, and unfortunately coop 303 forgot to put anything on the steak. Also, the desserts were not what I personally was expecting, but the bourbon bacon sundae was still enjoyable nonetheless.
