On our recent visit to Santa Monica , my daughter insisted our trip would be incomplete without a trip to this location of Frankie's and happily agreed to the 42 minute walk to the store from our hotel. This location did not disappoint. While small, it's stocked with trendy, on point clothes and accessories that my 11 year old adores. I tend to only buy her clothes here for very special occasions ( e.g. her birthday ) due to the higher price point for kid's clothes but she saved up her allowance and on her own purchased an adorable royal blue tank and bright green shorts. I loved checking out all the special occasion dresses at Frankie's ( and loved they were all out on display unlike at the Chicago store where you need an appointment for viewing most of the dresses). Frankie's is definitely the place to go when I need a special occasion dress. The people working at the store were friendly, helpful and not overly pushy - which I very much appreciated. Great store for tweens and young teens. Highly recommend.

Clothing was sorted by size, making it easy to browse and find items quickly. I don't think this was Eclipse's fault, but it seemed like PopFlex rotated merchandise throughout the week-long sale. My friend visited the day after I did and found skirts and swimwear, whereas my shopping day featured mostly black leggings, onesies, sherpa jackets, and denim jeans. Keep in mind is that you'll want to shop efficiently because the checkout line moved quite slowly. There were only two cashiers working, which created a bottleneck once people were ready to purchase. I ended up buying four items and there is additional discounts offered when you purchased 8+ pieces so my cousin and I combined our pieces. As for parking, the event advertised that the first two hours were free at 123 S. Robertson Blvd, but I was definitely charged by the hour. Overall it was still good to check out the sample sale. If I lived closer, I probably would have returned for another visit, but the drive out to West Hollywood is a bit of a trek for me.

I've been lucky enough to take in this building more than a couple of times, but most recently after several years and I appreciate it much more and the upgrades they've made. Parking can be maze like, but is relatively easy. We had a guide for rideshare drop offs and for navigating the parking lot ahead of time which made everything easy. After our event we had dinner on Melrose which gave time for the parking lot to quiet down with everyone leaving all at once. Staff for the event as well as for PCD were very helpful and personable. The main receptionist for the Green Building was off at 6pm on the dot like a lot of 9 to 6 folks, so inquire about information ahead of time.

I guess other floors are used for tenants or other businesses? The ceiling is pretty high for the first floor, thus allowing the Fate Memorial Display to take up the front half and it accommodated the long, grueling merchandise line. On the first floor there is also a food court and what seems to be some small retail space. 13th floor was quite spacious and had this kind of like warehouse, Ikea feel to it. It fit all the displays and cut outs, event stages, just fine. The auditory quality of the floor was pretty good, thus allowing several stages to operate at once without one overpowering the other. Not once did it get so crowded on this floor that people couldn't move. Lighting was a bit questionable in some areas only because it obscured some of the displays and made the photos not as nice. This may have just been an organizational layout issue with the event itself. The panel room had good acoustics and enough space to accommodate the crowds that were there to watch the special shows. My issue was with the two pillars in the middle of the room that obscured so much of the view for a lot of the seats (there were TV screens that simultaneously showed what was going on to mitigate this, but I felt like it took away from the experience overall). On the busiest day of the event, I really needed to use the rest room while I was on the first floor and I guess there was only one rest room that was ENTIRELY closed off, so I was instructed to just go on the 13th floor. That was really annoying. Additionally, I do not recall seeing any water fountain, so that left many a Fate nerd dehydrated that weekend. Other than that, I think it was a fair venue to host this event.

I had to try to find parking on the street but there were to many houses so they had the typical LA parking restrictions so you needed a permit to park. But if you get lucky there is a meter right outside so if no one is parked there you can get that parking. Other than that it's super 2016 coded definitely an LA staple so it was fun to visit. But because of that it also gets super crowded and you have to be lucky to get a good picture because there's no courtesy so people just photo bomb without a care but it's still a super cool thing to walk by and visit at least once!!!
