Beautiful old building.. Only saw the 11th floor but in my mind would had made for a beautiful loft apartment. I love old downtown and the buildings that still remain that.. including the elevator.. ( I yelped when it stopped)

This review is specifically for the Dessert Festival that took place from July 7-8. I came here for the dessert festival and it was a huge disappointment. The decorations were cheap and the whole set up was drab. I did not enjoy my time here because it looked like it was a last minute set up. The desserts were also extremely overpriced. Everything felt like a time crunch and the lines were long. I would not recommend my friends to participate in this Dessert Festival ever again. For the building itself: The elevators are quick and nice. The staff at the front were friendly too.

We came here for the Wildfox sample sale and I had a great time. Beautiful space, it's huge with several of different brands all under one roof. The staff was friendly and helpful and ran the event well. Parking Downton is always a pqin, but there are metered spots all around, just be sure to plan on spending quite some time here. I can't wait to be back for more of their sales, I found some great deals here!

I never made it into the building because the parking attendant was BEYOND RUDE. We asked him if he took credit cards and he said "If you don't have cash turn around and exit the same way you entered" I told him that was not the way you're supposed to talk to your customers. He said something to the effect of "all of these parking garages are cash only". Then he told us to park in a certain space and when he noticed that we didn't (by mistake, we misunderstood where he told us to go) he began yelling at us telling us we didn't listen etc. I explained to him that we were not his children and we were not to be yelled at as if we were. I also reminded him that he was at work and that his customer service was poor. He came to my face and yelled "you talk too much". Then he asked us to leave, so we did.

Sample sales are the best. I try to go once a season and always find a lot of stuff to grab.

They hold sample sales every Friday between Thanksgiving and Christmas, otherwise it's the last Friday of the month.

From the outside, we didn't see obvious signage indicating that this is the place. The telltale sign was that there were valet service staff outside. Also, the area itself is a little sketchy. But of course, that's out of the venue's control. Edit: I learned after the fact that the venue does not have control over catering so choose your caterers carefully ..ha Considering the price of admission for the gala we attended, the food was disappointingly mediocre. The salad was the highlight for me - it's got that gourmet vibe. The main course of beef and chicken was mediocre and the dessert was a joke. There were 9 people at the table, 6 of them left over 70% of their entrees untouched. That tells you a lot of about their opinion. The bar was crowded but the drinks were decent. The entertainment was much better than the food. The live band was Excellent and the casino was fun. The Majestic provided good service during the event. The lighting was super flattering for all the Instagram moments. lol The ambience inside was amazing and yes you will want to take many photos in your fancy outfits. :D Overall, a good event location.

As a result, a lengthy battle ensued between the archdiocese, who wanted to demolish it, and preservationists, who wanted to designate it as a historical landmark. The preservationists won and it's now an event space with an adjacent restaurant called Redbird - both are owed by Redbird Chef Neal Fraser & Amy Knoll Fraser. Naturally, it's popular for weddings but has also been used for events & parties. I've attended many fashion shows here during LA Fashion Week. The venue is charming and the courtyard is a lovely spot for receptions. I recently came here for a cocktail seminar - TOTC. Some aspects of the church remain, including the beautiful hardwood floors, altar, confessionals, & choir area. Tastings were held in the cathedral and classes in the adjacent building, which was once the rectory. The staff here were all friendly and accommodating. It is a lovely & functional venue for events. *Metered street parking or lot across the street $12.

The experience was magically beautiful from the moment we stepped inside. Vibiana's historic elegance, immersive visuals created an atmosphere that felt timeless and enchanting. Walking through the space honestly felt like time traveling back to the 1800s, with a romantic, cinematic vibe reminiscent of Bridgerton. The lighting, architecture, and overall ambiance transformed the cathedral into something truly extraordinary grand, dramatic, and full of old-world charm. It was the perfect setting to envision a gala: sophisticated, immersive, and memorable. If you're looking for a venue that blends history, art, and a sense of magic, Vibiana Cathedral is absolutely stunning and leaves a lasting impression. 4 stars as we felt rushed and didn't fully sit down for the pricing.

Even if you come in the evening or over the weekend, it is worth driving around a bit in case you can get lucky. The space itself is much larger than it appeared from the outside. There was plenty of space. I also loved that they kept some of the old nursery building there and just built around it. It's a great repurposing of the previous business. In all, I would love to check out Rolling Greens again when it is not a special exhibit. I think it would make a great open air event space.

What a cool spot to host an event, aesthetic-wise (not sure financially if it's a good price lol)!…read moreI was here to attend a wellness event and I was impressed with the size of the spot and the varied options indoors and outdoors for whatever you need to host. Inside, there was enough room for a stage for speakers, a little backstage area for the speakers to congregate, counter space to serve food and drinks, space to sell merchandise, and an almost enclosed space for a separate session. Outdoors, there was seating for meals and open grassy and first space with tents for any outdoor programming. The event organizers rented some fancy outdoor temporary restrooms, so I'm unsure if Rolling Greens has restrooms at all or if they had restrooms, but it wasn't sufficient for our large gathering. I saw there was also parking available inside the gates that you can close, though for the event I attended, the parking spots were not utilized and we had to take the drawn parking spots outside, find street parking (which wasn't too bad), or do valet.
