Are the flock of people coming for the wall or the store? 100% the wall. It's a PINK wall, nothing special except it's just one of those icons that symbolize "I'm a tourist visiting LA". *Guilty* If you know your angles, shadows, lighting, and are good with the first couple of pics you take *Guilty*, you will get irked by the number of tourists who don't. I say this, because THEY WILL WASTE SO MUCH TIME, it doesn't even make sense. Expect a crowd, and expect that same crowd to stay there for 30 mins... Once again, nothing special. INSIDE Paul Smith, is a different story. Be amazed at the quality, design, and PRICE of the actual store itself. Very crowded since this is a hot spot for photogenic shots. The wall is divided into different slots for individuals or groups to go in. Street parkings are available right in front and people come and go very quick. Every girls should come here for the photos. The pink wall makes you look like a princess. read more

Great outdoor wall for amazing portraits! I recently had a photoshoot here and had a great time. Photographers! If you are planning to have a session here, you are NOT allowed to take pictures on the wall next to the store's parking lot. I recommend going on the side on Melrose Avenue and take your pictures there. If you have a professional camera, you can only take pictures here. I used to love shopping at this store. I recently went in and was told that now most items are not on the floor but in the back and a shopper needs to describe what they are looking for so the sales team can scurry back and bring out ideas. That is not how I like to shop. How would I know what they have if I can't see it? Bloomingdale's at Beverly Center has some Paul Smith and of course the website but going into this store is a total waste of time. read more

I didnt know that a building with a pink wall would be so popular. You have people dropping by every few minutes just to take pictures against the wall. Sometimes there is a line and you have to wait your turn. It's crazy! Im glad that the store owner and the valet/security guy are cool with people taking pictures because most of the foot traffic is for the wall not the store. Unfortunately, they do not allow you to take pictures with a DSLR camera because they said the reflection of the pink wall might damage your camera lense and they dont want to be responsible. I was little puzzled about this. read more

Let's be honest, people come here for the gram photos. I wouldn't have come or even heard of this place if it weren't for my gf who saw some photos online. The security guard there knew the drill and couldn't have been more kind. Told us we were welcome to take photos without buying anything as long as we didn't block the fire lane. Good thing cuz I normally wouldn't shop at Paul Smith given that I skew more towards streetwear than prep wear. read more

Paul Smith has different decoration styles across the world, and the store located in LA is very iconic and especially cyber popular. The painting was rainbow colors about three years ago, and now the wall is completely pink. More people taking photos outside than shoppers inside. read more

Such an incredible shopping experience. I came into the store with a friend of mine (both tourists- I'm from the San Francisco area while he and our friends are from Norway) and we were greeted warmly and openly by the assistant manager, Jose Lemus with an offer for water of our preference while we looked around. He made our experience at Paul Smith unique and unforgettable- showing us the most recent (at the time) water resistant suits made specially for the Men In Black International movie and showing us all the high quality fabrics and eccentric patterns used in that line, and eventually introducing us to everything else in store. Everything from the artwork, colors, additional furniture, layout/product placement was aesthetically pleasing and went perfectly together. As we were going through the store and more friends came to join in on the walk-through, he gave us specific, individual style advice and recommendations. We were loving everything he picked out and were having a great time. Working in events and customer satisfaction, I really appreciated the extra care Jose gave to my friends and me this day, and I would highly recommend anyone to visit this store when you're in Los Angeles on the inside, and not just for the pink wall photo op! read more

Finally made it to the famous Pink wall. I don't think you can write much about a wall. I do wish they repaint the wall or wash the wall. There's so many stain or black marks from people stepping on the wall when taking pictures. Parking was easy to find next to this wall. read more

Sidewalk parking !! The store's lot is for customers only. But who's actually trying to shop there, we all came for the instagram photos. The pink wall was VERY pink Love how they have a sign for general rules of photography. You'll most likely have to wait in line just to get a photo with this pink wall. This review has nothing to do with the clothes. That said, my car was broken into right across the street and their outside cameras. At first they were kind and willing to help. Then it became difficult to get ahold of them, and when they did reply, they coldly gave me a one-line response that their cameras faced a different direction. I responded immediately to say it would help to have anything to work with, and they ghosted me. Would never support a business like this. Asking for cameras footage across a 3-4 hour timeline is not asking for much. read more

Horrible Costumer Service!! I went't to buy a shoes in the Melrose Ave location and the sales person was one of the most rude and unprofessional salesman so I decided to buy the shoes what I really liked online!! The shoes didn't arrived so I sent an email and they told me sorry they forgot to ship it and they do it right away. Two days later I got an email and they told me sorry we out of stock now so we send you back the money 3-4 day later!!! So they used my money for 2 weeks and no shoes!!! Came here for the RAINBOW Wall (Pride Month). Went here around 9 pm and the lot was empty. Took pictures outside the lot of course. If you want to have an Instagram worthy picture then you definitely have to stop by here. I have yet to go here during the day to take a better picture and also take a picture on the other wall which is pink. Make sure to park on the street if you are only planning to take a picture. read more

Came here for the iconic pink wall and yo take a fabulous picture, just like everyone else. Seriously, there can be a line to stand there and pose, be sure to spread out that there isn't someone else in your shot. Valet and security was nice, we walked through the store which is gorgeous, fun and funky men's fashion, casual yet classy with a price tag to match. Fun stop on Melrose to be very LA. read more

I was on Melrose Ave when I finally spotted the famous pink wall. The pride rainbow colors are gone now, but I can see why people like the pink background. If you drive here, park in the residential streets away from Melrose Ave, it's easier to find parking there. Note that there is a security guard now and signage stating no DLSR cameras, only cell phone cameras allowed. Lol, the things you find in LA... read more

Ok I don't see the hype. IT'S A PINK WALL To my understanding you do have to pay to take pictures with the wall if that's true that's crazy. Don't get me wrong it's a nice pink but I'm pretty sure Dwayne Johnson will let you take a picture with him for free (way better picture then a wall) read more

Went here just for the pink wall! Yes, we conformed. Sorry not sorry. It was cool, I didn't know how popular this was!! There was a constant line of people taking pictures in front of the vibrant pink wall. It was fun but our guy friend wasn't so fond of being our photographer haha. Tip: don't plan on bringing your fancy DSLR camera because they won't let you. They only let you take pics with your phone. read more

Ok I've been back many times now and this place is gold mine. So many beautiful items and the staff they currently have is amazing! I'm an official junkie. I own way too much of this brand, and pretty much all mainline stuff. Steer clear of the PS line...mainline is where it's at :) The quality of the fabrics, prints and detailing is very high for what you pay compared to other designer brands. Only Dries compares in the mens prints department! Fit on suits and trousers is much better for Paul Smith though. read more

Love love love the pink wall but it can get super crowded. The last time I want, the wall had a bunch of tourist and even security to watch the visitors. The security told us we cant use our fancy cameras or put our dirty shoe print on the wall. Though that didnt stop me from posing at all. Overall, my experience at the was just OK. read more

What's a straight guy doing walking into a hot pink building? On a mission to purchase the best cologne in the world. I had an accident occur while on my trip to Vegas. I inadvertently set down my bottle of Paul Smith Extreme cologne on top of the toilet and CRASH! It shattered. I wanted to mop and squeeze the scent all over. As soon as I got back to LA I drove to Paul Smith. Turns out I started testing their new fragrance line. To my surprise Paul Smith Extreme has taken a backseat to my new discovery. Paul Smith Sunshine. Wow, talk about a summer, citrus scent that will turn heads. This fragrance is about the sexiest fragrance I've sprayed. Coming from someone that has no limit on what I pay for fragrances. Paul Smith Sunshine is bomb! Oh and I dont mind the pink building. read more

Scott is a fantastic salesman and helps me pick clothes that scream "older dude who likes classics but is kinda funny with keen fashion sense." Yeah the shirts are pricey but they won't ever wind up in the Goodwill bag. Protip - you will likely be offered water or beer while shopping as long as you are a serious customer (you aren't only there to take selfies in front of the pink wall). read more

A really Great Wall to have a little Photo shoot at but you are not able to take actual photos with your camera the photos that you take can only be taken with a phone camera. I wanted to buy my dad a nice birthday present. A nice shirt. or perhaps a sweater. There was a sale going on... and I thought - Ok - maybe i can find something great... I walked in... Great merchandise - beautifully displayed... I love the style, the look, the quality, the designs... but wow - i was totally ignored. I'm a girl, in the men's section - looking at everything... i mean REALLY looking at everything... I was not casually browsing, wanting to be ignored. I was actually looking around to see if i could draw some assistance. not one sales person came up to me to offer me suggestions or see if they could help me. I didn't just stumble in - this was my chosen destination. I was ready to $pend my money there. I guess no one works on commission there? I almost got a shirt... instead, I got a little book for myself - and asked the guy who rang me up if he had any suggestions as to where else I could find a nice shirt or sweater for a man within walking distance. One of the stores was the new RRLauren store... Thanks! I went in there - the sales manager acknowledged me within a minute, helped me out... I spent twice as much as i intended just because he showed passion for the line, and seemed to care about helping me find something nice for my dad. hmm - just because i was completely ignored at paul smith - they got $15 from me for a book... which i might just return... instead of around $200+ for the shirt i kinda liked (or more if i was shown something that clicked)... I have a cousin I want to buy something for... take a wild guess where i won't be coming. read more

They sold a pair for $17.50! I requested that they send me a check, they charged me a $12.50 fee to send a check. My net amount received for the sale of my shoes was $5.00, outrageous! I should have donated the shoes, the $5.00 that I received did not even cover the gas that I spent to take the shoes to their location. Do not waste your time with this fraudulent company.

Almost Crazy has a variety of really comfy clothes that has that designer look to it. I was looking for a birthday gift and they have these great pajamas! Great colors and awesome fabric. They also have two-piece sets, jackets, purses, and hats. I highly recommend this place for buying clothes for yourself, or for gifting. FYI, they also have a piano in the store, which was super cool looking and played great. I played a couple tunes while in there. Great store!

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

This is a nice store that carries clothing and accessories that you probably won't find at most…read moreother clothing shops on Melrose Ave. Most of the stores on this street tend to carry the same type of clothing. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.

Felt like I was in the scene in Pretty Woman! Unfriendly staff. Needed to have some retail therapy/ been working a lot and coming down from a successful achievement. I also wanted some summer pieces. Was being helped by a young woman named Ariel- had a few outfits sent to fitting room- only got one item. Lady the register was cold and dismissive. Seems like the manager- and if so she sucks! Was ready to buy myself a few things for my birthday next month- left empty handed and with a bad experience at reformation. Sucks. They won't have my money again. Honestly felt like they were racial profiling because the white customers got perfect service. SHAME on you! Spend your money elsewhere.
