Brought my car here for a shifting problem. They began running a diagnosis and told me they didn't have the proper equipment to give a definitive diagnosis nor to fix what they believed was most likely the problem. They told me I needed to bring it to the car dealer. Charged me $150 for this. When I called to talk to the owner to complain about it, she was downright rude and refused to waive the charge. Had to have it diagnosed all over again at the dealership since they wouldn't make any repair recommendations without running their own diagnosis. Basically, paid $150 for them to inform me they couldn't tell me what the problem was nor repair it. Gave two stars only because I had been there once before with my other car and was happy with the service. read more

While visiting San Antonio for our son-in-law's graduation from Air Force basic training, a warning light came on in our 2008 Mini Cooper (that we had just driven 1,300 miles from Dayton, Ohio.) Our oldest daughter who is stationed at Lackland AFB also owns a Mini. She recommended that we have CBB diagnose the issue. She made a call and they agreed to let us stop by without an appt. to take a look at it. Keep in mind, this was a Friday morning... We were due to leave San Antonio on the following Monday. They quickly diagnosed the problem and sent me an email with a list of issues that needed addressed. Being a 2008 there were a handful, including brake work (which we knew was pending.) During a phone call they helped us prioritize the list and gave us a quote. We've had the same BMW/Mini dealership in Ohio work on our car since we purchased it new, so we have a pretty good handle on what repairs cost. Labor costs at a dealership are pretty steep... We authorized the most critical of the repairs and they got to work. We got a call late in the afternoon that our car was finished. I was thinking MAYBE Monday... possibly Tuesday before the repairs would be completed? (They were sensitive to the fact that we were from out of town and needed our car for the long drive home.) It's worth noting that when I was there picking up the car, the tech pointed out that my front driver-side tire had a huge bulge (or separation?) about 1/2 the size of a tennis ball on the inner side! Not sure how long it had been like that, but we certainly appreciated them letting us know. A fairly serious risk... especially considering that we had just driven two days on that tire! They didn't try to sell me tires, they just made us aware. (Saturday morning = new tires.) Of course our daughter made the initial recommendation to us, but now I'm making the recommendation to you! Ask for JoAnn and tell her, "Scott from Ohio sent you!" (Repairs included: Vans solenoid inlet, also front brakes service, pads, rotor sensor, vacuum pump. I am resisting the urge to publish the price, as I believe they gave a pretty good deal.) read more

Another successful visit. I needed some work on my brakes and a check engine light checked out on my '13 MINI JCW. I had a few maintenance repairs done. I can count on these guys for an accurate diagnostic, honest work, and fair pricing. I love how thorough they are with multipoint inspections - from lights to engine components. They don't push any repairs on you, and instead help make you make an informed decision. I know how intimidating it can be to find a reliable and honest shop where you don't feel taken advantage of. This is definitely your go-to if you have a Cooper or BMW. Keep in mind that they're a speciality and small shop, with good demand, so don't expect lightning fast turnarounds. I'd recommend dropping your vehicle off for any repairs, especially if you're inpatient like me. Travis, the repair consultant, is great - he's patient and sincere. This is a terrific local business that does quality work at a fair price. All of their employees have been trained and certified by the dealerships, and most of them have years of experience working on European vehicles--so they really know what they're doing. Ray did a great job communicating with me at every step, and he returned my wife's 2005 MINI Cooper S to us on time and at the price he had promised. He also took the time to show me all removed parts and clearly explain everything they had done and why. And they even cleaned the car and vacuumed the interior. Bonus! We had stopped going to the MINI dealership when my wife's car went out of warranty because they treated us like crap and their repair prices were exorbitant. Then we used another garage on San Pedro that didn't impress us at all. But I'm really glad we finally found Coopers, Bimmers & Benz. My wife and I won't be taking her car anywhere else. We took my Mercedes Benz CLA in for service on the AC. They ran a diagnostic test and they replaced the temperature switch checked all hoses to AC. Took 3 business days to complete work and find problem. All work completed was very thorough and reasonably priced. Courteous service very knowledgeable. My Mini Cooper started acting up when my husband was out of town. Worried and not sure what to do, I took my Mini to the dealership to have them take a look. I was planning on having the work done there for convenience, but thought it might be a good idea to call a shop or two since it's typically more cost effective. I was worried calling mechanics as a female who doesn't know much about cars. Even during the initial call with Ray I already felt like he had my best interest and was honest about the work that needed to be done. He explained what work my car needed and how long I'd have before I needed it... and the cost was significantly cheaper! I took my car in late Thursday after work and had it by Saturday (even though they're not always open Saturday, they stayed to get my car done!). They even had the parts in stock that the dealership said they'd have to special order. I FULLY recommend Coopers, Bimmers & Benz and Ray provided outstanding service!! Absolutely talk to him about the work you need. Even if you aren't good with cars, he'll help you try to understand. My only sadness is that my husband and I recently got jobs out of state and I won't have CB&B to come to!!!! read more

This place was simple, cheap and very nice. I called a previous day to ask if I could get an oil change, they immediately got me schedule and fit into a tight schedule just the very next day. Went in and said I had an appointment and got it taken care of in no time. They inspected it, did the change, and test drove it. They even restarted the oil change light. I have a BMW 528i that no longer has extended warranty coverage. Before I discovered this shop, I took my car to the BMW dealership to have them look into 2 different issues (Steering Angle Sensor & AC Blower Motor). Since it was 2 different issues, they charged me 2 diagnostic fees of $180 for each issue. Because of their steep prices, I was only able to get 1 repair done (AC Blower Motor) at that time. They waived that diagnostic fee since they conducted the repair. However, since I wasn't able to have the Steering Angle Sensor repaired, they added the $180 diagnostic fee from that and added it to the price of the AC Blower Motor cost. Well, that 2nd issue eventually progressed to the point where it finally needed to be repaired. Remembering the estimate that I was given by the dealership, I knew that I had to look elsewhere. I had never had my car serviced anywhere other than the dealership, so I was worried about finding a good place that specializes in BMW. I searched around for different shops and decided to give this place a try. BEST DECISION EVER!! As soon as I called the shop, the friendliness of the person on the phone (JoAnn) made me feel like I had made a good decision. The following day, I took my car in and was greeted by JoAnn and was immediately helped by a gentleman named Albert. Let me just say, their diagnostic fee is $105 cheaper than the fee the dealership charged me. They also waive that fee if you get your car serviced at their shop. I had them look into 2 issues (Steering Angle Sensor & Drivetrain Malfunction). When JoAnn called with the quote for the repairs, I was so happy to hear that it was HUNDREDS cheaper than what the dealership had quoted me. Not only that, they gave me 20% off the cost of the parts. I also had them look into a 3rd issue (water leak on front passenger floor) to which they never charged extra to look at, and that's because they looked at several things in order to identify the cause of the leak. They identified where the water was coming from and it turned out that it was from that last repair I had done at the dealership. They offered to repair the issue without charging extra in labor costs, however, I would have had to buy parts. Luckily, they reminded me that the dealership adds a warranty to service and advised me to go back to the dealership so I wouldn't have to spend any money on parts. They did EVERYTHING they could do to make sure I had everything taken care of on my car, in the easiest and most cost-effective way possible. They even threw in a FREE Brake Fluid Flush to go along with my service. I got my car back in a short amount of time and it runs smoothly. I am so glad I decided to take my car to Coopers, Bimmers & Benz on Reindeer Trail. They have earned a lifetime customer. I will NEVER take my car anywhere else. read more

Went here because of the good reviews but it was bad. I dropped off my car for a diagnostic which costs $70 and not once did I get any sort of updates(calls), they didn't even call me to say my car was ready. Only when I called the technician said there was a bunch of problems and that they needed more time which mean that another extra 3hrs was adding $400 to the $70. Oh yeah by the way they didn't find the problem so you will go here to pay $70 for nothing(no seriously). Good luck to the next customer. read more

Great service! They took my car right away and I only had a 1 hour wait time for service. I had plug change and brake flush. 211.00 less than what I would have paid for service at dealership. The mechanic/owner has worked for BMW and Mini and is highly knowledgeable. You can also take your own parts if you want.This is a great place to go after your warranty has run out and you don't want to get slammed at the dealership with outrageous prices. They also have Netflix in the waiting room and probably other types of channels too. This will now be my go to place for all repairs on my Mini! read more

This shop is the ONLY place I will take my Mini to. Well worth the 30 minute drive for me. For 6+ months I wasted hundreds, (would've been thousands if I didn't have warranty) taking it to the San Antonio Mini Dealer, with them constantly giving me a different issue as to why I was losing oil. Within the first day of having it at Coopers, Bimmers & Benz they had diagnosed the problem CORRECTLY. Now it's running great and I've been taking my car here ever since. Jesse knows what he is doing and will take the time to explain and show you what exactly is going on with your car. Definitely a mechanic you can trust, instead of just trying to get more money out of you like the dealers, he's actually concerned about you and your car. Had a quote from Dealer to do repairs, took it to this business, they actually quoted me HIGHER than a BMW dealership for same exact work & Parts. I needed the oil changed in my 2005 Mini Cooper S and my AC wasn't working plus I needed to know what other work needed to be done. I had never been here before. Joseph was great at telling me everything that my car needed. They gave me a ride back to my house and came and picked me up when my car was ready. The master mechanic even offered to show me everything that the car needed by looking under the car. I've never had a mechanic offer to show me what my car needed. I've always had to trust them and just believe whatever they tell me. I was very impressed with the way they do business. They are honest and their prices are on par with what it costs to maintain a Mini Cooper. But they are definitely cheaper than going to the dealer. I will definitely keep using them for all my Mini Cooper maintenance. read more

I took my car to this shop because of the great reviews, well this isn't going to be one of those. I dropped my car off at Cooper's at 7:30am (prior to the shop opening) on Tuesday (Jan. 23rd) to have an oil leak fixed. I will add that I didn't have an appointment. Once the shop opened, I called and spoke to a very nice lady named Mallory that explained to me that she had several appointments that day and that she would try to get my car looked at that day but that it may be the next day, which I was okay with. Later on the same day I received a call from the owner Joann. Joann informed that the mechanic had run the diagnostics on my car, what needed to be done, and the total cost (down to the penny) on how much it would cost...and it is costing me a bank vault full of pennies. The main reason for this post is because the owner told me that she would push to have my car fixed late Wednesday or maybe Thursday, but for sure no later than Friday. Friday came and I had not received one call from the shop with an update, so I spent my break at work calling the shop and was told that the repairs are 50% done and that the mechanic would be finishing up before the end of the day. Friday ended and I got a call from Mallory telling me that the mechanic was having difficulty finishing as I was assured by the owner, and that the mechanic would be coming in on Saturday to finish it up. Today is Saturday (4:53pm) and I just received a call from Mallory informing me that the mechanic is still not finished and that he is leaving for the day because supposedly his son had to go to the hospital...review to be cont'd. read more

I recently had my car fixed at Coopers Bimmers and Benz and these guys are great! I was having problems with the audio, bluetooth, and SOS (i.e. ONSTAR). They performed a diagnostic test and determined it would take approx. 6 hours of labor. However, it took several days for them to find and fix the problem. They were very professional and apologetic for the delay in service. In fact, when I picked up my car, the owner explained (in detail) the reason for the delay and only billed me for 1 hour of labor. They also discounted the other work I had done on my car. If you want professional, quality service, I recommend you try Coopers Bimmers and Benz. read more
