I'll take my five elsewhere! I am usually a big fan of Take 5 Oil Changes, and have used them all over the place. This time, I went online, and made a reservation, so I could hopefully be whisked to the front of the line! On the reservation registration webpage, they specifically ask what kind of car I'll be having serviced. I filled it all in, and got a confirmation of my appointment. I showed up, and ended up waiting in the sun for 25 minutes past my appointment time before someone comes out waves me into the bay, where I wait some more before someone comes and talks to me. It's the mechanic, with a compass tattooed on his hand. He said that my car is difficult to change the filter on without burning his arms and he'd rather just not do it, and encouraged me to get my oil changed at the dealership. I was stunned. I don't drive a Lamborghini or some exotic car. I was displeased that they had the opportunity to tell me that they didn't want to work on my car when I made the appointment online the night before. They had another great opportunity to tell me that they didn't want to work on the car when I showed up and waited in my car for twenty five minutes. Any time during that twenty five minutes I was waiting in front of their garage bay door would've been a great time to come and tell me to quit waiting, because they didn't want to work on an imported vehicle. Even after I got guided into the garage bay, and as I sat in the garage bay and waited, they could've come out and said something about how they're not into imports and go find a dealership. They wasted my time. I'm not coming back. They certainly didn't get a honk on the way out of the service bay. read more

Bait and switch or taking advantage of women? We called the direct line given out on the website and was quoted $79.99 for a Transmission fluid change & $149 for a flush with filter. My wife drives over within 30 minutes and she is told that they give out the wrong price all the time and it is actually $149 or $199 with the filter. We call back on the main line and they again confirm the first price, and say they will call the location to see what is going on. Instead of actually talking to that location and solving the problem they transfer me to that location. The manager confirms that they gave out the wrong price and have had multiple people come in expecting the quoted price, but will not honor it. Seems as though they are using dishonest practices to lure in customers. If you quote a price you honor it. read more

Newly opened location. Stopped in for a state inspection right before closing on a Friday night and they were more than happy to take me in. Justin had me out the door in under 10 minutes and was very appreciative of the business. Did not really pay attention as it was dark and raining when I came in but they have a total of 6 bays and it looks like they do a lot more than just oil changes. Also noticed that they offer a 25% discount for military and vets. I will definitely be back for an oil change for sure. read more

the first visit they told me i needed new windshield wipers if i wanted to pass inspection because mine were "too streaky". of course they were conveniently out of the more affordable option and the only ones they could offer me were the premium ones. they install the "premium" wipers and they were literally worse/made more streaks than the ones i came in with. but the customer service was decent and the pricing was fair-ish so i gave them another chance. THIS TIME they let a car that showed up 10 minutes after me cut in front of me, i went in for an oil change and they insisted i needed $200+ in other things done, and then didn't even have the air filter they were so desperate to upsell me in stock. chastised me for not being able to afford a random $180 add on coolant service that day. literally went on and on about it until i had to straight up say "i cannot afford that today i do not have that money right now i just came for an oil change" to get them to chill. not to mention my car has been running completely fine, i just came for routine maintenance, and the last time i came they upsold me something that literally left me worse off than when i came in. Just had my family mechanic look at it and he confirmed that my coolant and filter are completely fine. i truly believe this place gets you in the door with the reasonable pricing but make their money by upselling you on sh*t your car doesn't actually need. Stop being so pushy and fearmongering your customers just to make a sale. read more

First I want to apologize for being so difficult but the process here was so fast I didn't know they finished until they were checking me out. I was getting an oil change and inspection, they failed to put it in the system or give me a copy that my vehicle had passed inspection. I spoke to someone that said I could go and they would give me a copy then they turned me away again and said they needed the vehicle but failed to mention that when I spoke to them over the phone. read more

one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I always purchase the $100 premium and have never had any issues until I came to this location. They were taking so long that they started turning cars away. When it was time for our services we still had to wait another 20-30 min just to wait our turns to get fully serviced on a simple oil change. Not one of them was able to do an oil change on their own they always needed someone for assistance or to sell the customer on those stupid air filters to get us to purchase more. The African American lady was annoyed when she left she shouted "good luck yall yall need it", they need more than just that at this point. It took almost an hour and a half just for simple oil change for me and another customer. We were already tired and flustered and just wanted to go. They finally got to me an asked to see all filters and kept trying to sell me on them and I got mad and said "just the oil change" and miraculously they were able to change my oil quickly with just one associate working on it. where was this for all the other vehicles. it took so long they started to offer discounts and when it was time for me and the other customer we weren't offered anything even though we were there the longest. And the only way I know he didn't get a discount either is because I ran into that same customer at the LA fitness across the street. Somehow everyone else can get special treatment but not us. I'll gladly drive the extra 30 min for now on to give my business to other companies I'm not going back sorry not sorry. Really disappointing and discouraging, they were all going to eachother for any situation almost seemed like they didn't even know what they were doing smh. So this place use to be Express Lube but was bought out...and you know what?.... I like this new staff and how they operate....if it's just an oil change then you dont even have to get outta your vehicle....they had me in and out in under 20mins...I didnt actually time them but it felt quick. Alonzo was very professional and helpful. He gave me advice on when I should replace the air filter and explained everything that was touched up on. I'm gonna come back for sure. read more

They didn't have the exact oil we wanted so they gave us a $10 off discount on the air filter we also had changed in the car. The employees working there gave my car an inspection in a perfectly reasonable amount of time. It's unreasonable to expect (especially with a queue/line) everything to be done by the crew in literally 5 minutes, but there weren't that many people today and it did in fact take roughly 5 minutes. Went on a Thursday around 2pm, there was no line and I was done in about 10minutes. LOVE that it's a drive thru and you don't have to wait in a small waiting room for an hour, like most places. I also found a coupon for $15 off any oil change!! Will be back for my next oil change! read more

Needed an oil change so I went to this location as this is the only place I've had my oil changed in 4 years. Arrived at this location before 4 pm. Was told I had to go elsewhere with the only explanation "it's just a corporate thing". The tech told me I should visit their location on de Zavala. Upon arriving at the de Zavala location, 2 techs told me the oil filter was put on too tight the last time my oil was changed and that I should try again at the Babcock location because the oil filter housing was cracked and that location could get it off. On the way home I went to their competition. 2 techs told me that the last place that changed my oil cracked the housing by tightening the oil filter too tight. Go back to the Babcock location the next day and was told that nothing they did would've cracked the housing. Go to auto zone and O'Reilly's. Both people at these locations say it was cracked because the oil filter was put in too tight. So here we are... out of the 7 people I talk to... 6 of them say it happened due to filter being too tight... the only one who disagreed is the person at the Babcock location where my last oil change happened. How convenient. 4 years getting my oil changed at this location. Never again. read more
