They will definitely be able to do any work you need, and you'll feel good about who did the work, maybe that's there reasoning for charging a lot more than other shops. So in terms of that work I was happy. Their front desk staff was friendly, and the lead tech was always willing to talk and was nice about it too. He definitely enjoys diving into the work and communicating his labor and findings, which was super refreshing. That being said I did pay for a diagnostic for an ac related fault (electrical) and their final diagnosis was wrong, they recommended I replace a 250$ part. After replacing the part (work done myself because the labor cost was exorbitant by my standards) it became evident that the part wasn't actually faulty. And if they had done the work maybe the costs would have been backed by their guarantee to fix the problem, no way for me to know. After being upset/frustrated by the incorrect diagnosis, and not eager to trust a shop to figure this out for me I put my own time into it and found a corroded wire to the module. It was a hard diagnosis so I get them not figuring it out but when you spend a lot of money like this you kinda wish that they could've figured it out for you. All in all I think they're capable, and you can trust the work, but with me I think some more diligence would've made this less of a headache. $382.72...works out to just under $50/hr for 8 hours, so it seemed like a a pretty big charge for connecting two battery terminals and "battery programming". In fairness maybe without the "battery programming", the labor charge to connect two terminals woulda only been $350 or something? I don't know if they flew a mechanic in from Germany or anything special like that, but I found $382.72 to be kinda expensive, for a task that I usually do myself, in about three minutes, in the auto zone parking lot. The "battery programming" seemed unnecessary, and wasn't authorized by me, but y'all went ahead and did it anyway, and charged me a few hundred extra for it. When I pointed this out, you made it seem like I was the problem. I won't be returning for the $1250 brake job the dealer charges $1000 for, $4000 worth of oil leaks, or even the pvc piping, because yall have demonstrated that fleecing customers is your mo, and finding out a mechanic is willing to fleece ya a bit...for only $400...is a pretty cheap lesson. I took my vehicle in expecting professional service, and instead I was overcharged more than $1,400 for absolutely nothing. The car was in better shape before I dropped it off. They kept my vehicle for weeks and still couldn't fix the issue. Every time I asked for an update, I was either ignored or given excuses. When I finally picked it up, the car wouldn't even run consistently, and the owner showed no concern at all about the time, money, and stress this caused me. There was no accountability, no transparency, and no real customer service. They made it clear they only cared about getting paid, not about actually doing the work or treating people fairly. I'm 62 and I've been around the block a few times if you know what I mean. I couldn't have found a better garage. I bought into this car maintenance insurance company that was holding my car hostage for two days wasting my time and the garage's. This garage gave me a heads up on what they were doing. Then the insurance company called me and told me that the garage needed to give them more data. The garage had already given them every bit of data. Photos, and the fault codes from the car. Then I asked them to send out an inspector. Their answer was they needed more data. I don't know what more data they needed so I told them to drop my insurance coverage and paid for it myself. TL:DR version: Excellent mechanics, excellent customer service. They are spectacular. If there's someone reading this who needs work done on their auto, head to Goose. The whole saga: Our check engine light came on during a cross country roundtrip (San Francisco to New York!) In Tucson the mechanic was great, said the codes were random and reset the light telling us if it happened again we should have it checked out more thoroughly. It happened again. There is something particularly nerve wrecking about staring at that light knowing we have more than 5,000 miles of driving ahead of us. I found Goose through Google and called a few hours ahead and Robert, the manager, immediately put me at ease. He just has that voice of calm and assured me they could diagnose the issue. We pulled into Goose in the afternoon and took their free shuttle to a hotel. That evening Robert called and explained the issue, also saying it would not affect driving at all and encouraging us to go ahead with our trip rather than wait around for a few days while the repair (diesel exhaust reader) was performed. Then he says no charge for the diagnostic since they weren't going to be doing the work and then he says we can leave the van overnight at the shop, no problem. So they take the van with no appointment, give us a free ride across town, diagnose the issue, store the van and then don't charge us. Faith in humanity restored. It was such an amazing experience it makes me want to move to San Antonio. Thank you Robert and to the entire Goose crew. You're all amazing. And we are happily on our way. read more

Read before coming. Front desk personnel was friendly and attentive. Although this is helpful, the quality of work is most important. I took my vehicle here and left it for diagnostics. It came back with the report that basically was not worth fixing as price was outrageous. When I picked up my car I looked under the hood and noticed that a long black hose was on the bottom floor, just lying there. This was not there before. I connected the hose under hoods so car would start smoothly. My car did fine. When I called to let them know they said that when they pulled the car up the hose was lying on the floor already. So I questioned that they had the mechanic look at the car, notice the hose on the floor and they ran diagnostic with that large hose not connected. Why would they run diagnostic when they could visibly see an issue that would run a false report. So either they did something and the hose fell or they saw it there and did nothing. The person I spoke to mentioned that they just run diagnostic (which I paid about $200 for them to help me figure out the issue with my car). I asked for a refund because I feel the diagnostic report was not accurate and i could send my vehicle somewhere else. They did not want to give a refund . I don't feel this company is honest so i didn't ask for them to run another diagnostic test. I asked to speak to a manager to give a complaint and the person I spoke to said he was the manager, I asked to speak to his manager/owner and they have yet to get back with me (it's been over a week). Update! I took my car back for an oil change and they now offer you an Uber ride to take you back home while they work on your car. The only reason I am giving only 4 stars is due to the price. I paid over $400 for oil change and tire balancing for a Range Rover Evoque and that seemed high but these days everything is high and I just needed it done so I didn't take time to shop around. I was there for about an hour and they texted me an estimate of 2-3 hours to get the work done. I live too far out so I stayed and worked on my computer and 1 1/2 hours later they were all done. I think they had several technicians available so they got it done quicker. read more

I was looking for an honest, reliable repair facility for my 2014 Maserati. My check engine came on. Tony reported that my turbo chargers would need to be replaced and each one cost $2200. The estimate for total repair was $10,500. I am sorry but what??????? $6000 in labor - how ridiculous and ludicrous is this? SUPER disappointed. I took our Audi A5 to Goose Automotive for scheduled service. While being serviced, the "Tech" noticed that our passenger side Windshield Wiper Sprayer wasn't working and recommended that we spend $267.29 to get it working again. I was told that the spray pump and other items needed to be replaced. I declined the recommendation, primarily because I had already agreed to spend a sizable amount of money. When I got the car home, I literally spent 5 minutes unstopping the passenger side water jets with a straight pin!!! The Windshield Wiper Sprayer now works perfectly!!! Yes! ...the result of a 5 minute effort which didn't even require that the hood be open! The "Tech" clearly spent more time concocting an elaborate recommendation than he did trying to understand what the problem really was. It is hard for me to trust people like this! New car means finding a mechanic. I had bumper damage from the previous owner of my Nissan Versa. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon Goose Automotive. The quality of service that they provided was amazing. I felt that they quoted me at a fair price (I checked 8 other places, either they were booked up because of the hail that attacked San Antonio or their prices were astronomical). I do my research, so when everything the mechanic at Goose told me added up over the 8 other places, Goose was my only clear choice. They did not shy away from any of the questions that I had (big or small). Their office area is clean and comfy. Small snacks, water, kurig coffee machine, and a big screen TV. I didn't see a bathroom, but I didn't need one at the time. The front desk was so helpful! Katy called me through every step of the way. I even was given a loaner vehicle which was awesome! Frank was our service advisor and not only were they much cheaper for the same diagnosis as the dealership but they communicated with us and gave us a student discount for her as well. The second time we came in was an unrelated issue and they not only worked a discount in but then they discounted it further when she went to pay for it. Honest and really nice people. This is absolutely insane. The car had a couple minor issues, which I took to a reputable mechanic in Houston and got fixed in entirety for vastly over $1,000, massively less than anything you quoted. But the sheer audacity Of charging almost $300 to diagnose a car, it's almost beyond belief. But that's not my problem, the world is full of crooked mechanics who overcharge because they can get insurance companies to pay for everything, it's that you have positive reviews. This is a 1 star business at best, and somehow you've put together enough good reviews to trick me into giving you some of my money, which is extremely upsetting. You're disgusting business practices need to come to light. Although your responses are telling, there's a distinct lack of professionalism in all of your retorts online, which hopefully will make people think twice and go to any other mechanic in town. They could not possibly spend half of what you charge anywhere else in the city, in fact, I strongly suspect they wouldn't even spend a tenth of what you charge. Hahaha where do I even begin. Get your car done ANYWHERE but here. First of all it took them 3 times to fix the problem with my vehicle. The first time they told me I had a hole in my thermostat and my car was leaking coolant so I had to pay $800 to get it repaired with a smoke test done. Fine. Got my car back, not only did my check engine light come on AGAIN but the skid panel under my car was loose bc they didn't screw it on properly. On top of that they did little to no effort in getting me a loaner vehicle, it wasn't until I reached out to the manager at the Goose on Bandera that I got a loaner that same day "all of a sudden" they had a vehicle for me. Got my car back literally the next two days bc well they rushed the service. All they did was replace my gas cap which still didn't resolve the check engine light, took it back there bc they're the ones working on my car, come to find out it was my canister purge valve that was punctured and it needed to be replaced, yes I got a discount but even then I had to pay $466. After they fixed it I returned the loaner vehicle and now I'm in a situation where i haven't gotten the loaner deposit back. It's been 4 business days and when I returned the first loaner I got my deposit back instantly, now the second time there's an issue. I have been nothing but patient throughout this whole experience and this is the worst one. I feel that what they charged me the first time wasn't for the issue to begin with and that they rushed the service all around. Save your time and money. read more

Worst place ever to get your car fixed at. They never finished the whole diagnostic on the car and when I took it off the lot my car was over heating and my car was dying. I got a new battery like they said I needed to and my car was still over heating. Told the person who was helping me thru out this whole process and he told me it has to be the water pump then. Quoted me 2,230 after already me paying 2,500 to get my car fixed. Decided to go else where for the water pump, since the price was super high. Got my water pump fixed and the people who fixed my water pump said that was not the issues it was the censor to the water pump that won't allow it to do it's job. So now here I am calling today trying to get this resolved since I'm still without a car. and they are still trying to charge me for a evaluation on the car ?!?! If you have a foreign car this is for sure a place you need to bring it to for repairs. We have a Mercedes and we took it to one place that we won't say (but it's on the East side off the 410) and it was horrible. We found out about Goose. And we love it there. The staff is so kind and friendly. Just regular people. They aren't their just to get your money, of course it's a business but they just talk to you and make you so comfortable. They are completely detailed with their work. First they heard my concerns and let me know it would be taken care of. Then off what I was concerned about they explained to me in detail what they would be doing. For the work that wasn't needed they didn't do or charge me for. They explained to me why it wasn't needed and what they did for me at no cost. Our vehicle was washed before it was returned to me. And didn't have a horrible smell it it, like what happened at the other place. We will always bring our vehicle here. Great business. MUST GO!! read more
