The food in the service are delicious and very well. The prices are a little high, but I think it's worth it. You can also order to go, which will save you a little money. My first time here at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Centerville Ohio. The appetizers were amazing, we had calamari, crispy, brussels sprouts and drunken shrimp! The bread was freshly baked. I had the jambalaya and it was surprisingly really good. My daughter-in-law order the Parmesan crusted, shrimp scampi, she said it was amazing and very tasty! My son coopers hall Parmesan chicken giandernia, which he said was not very good. Chicken was soggy, potato's were cold and the Veggies were ok! However, he was able to send it back and the made him something else. They said it was really good! The kids meal Pot Stickers and fries were good and the Cheese Burger was good as well! I've enjoyed Cooper's Hawk wines at family occasions for years now, but somehow never made it into the restaurant until now! We had a lovely family dinner for four here on Christmas Eve, and I'd love to return soon for a wine tasting. We had a reservation, but ended up waiting about 30 minutes past that time because they were so busy for the holiday. Thankfully, you can order a glass of wine or even complete a tasting at the winery bar while you wait. Service was pretty slow even after we were seated, but again, there were a lot other folks there that night, so we just hung in there and enjoyed each other's company while we waited. Everything on their menu sounded so good that it was hard to order! We started with the House-Made Meatballs and a couple of loaves of their house bread. The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and paired with a hearty red sauce that was great for dipping. For entrees, my husband and I shared the Country Rigatoni and the Surf and Turf with Filet Medallions and the Drunken Shrimp. The portions are huge, and definitely enough for two people to share one entree. The filet medallions were well cooked, and I loved the ooey-gooey parmesan on top. The veggies that came with the Surf and Turf were also quite tasty. The Rigatoni is full of fun mix-ins and presented in a comforting, rustic way. I really liked the Italian sausage and the mushrooms. We skipped dessert this time, although the Salted Caramel Creme Brulee was tempting. read more

I try not to leave less than 5 star reviews unless they are warranted but unfortunately it was in this instance. After we were sat it took almost 30 minutes for us to receive our ordered drinks and to even get our order taken. I understand how being a waitress works and I acknowledge that there is a selling aspect to get the customer to order certain items, but it felt like I was at a Cutco knives presentation and it completely turned us off from even wanting to order many items like we had planned. It also doesn't help when people decide a restaurant is the perfect place to take a loud FaceTime call (???). The food itself was okay but I think this was a one and done experience which is unfortunate because I think the concept of Cooper's Hawk makes perfect sense. No waiting with our reservation so we were seated promptly. My GF had the egg rolls appetizer for an entree which was a delicious meal according to her. I had the Jambalaya which was also excellent. Our waiter was actually a great personality...we really liked him...we just needed him to hurry up because we were on a time crunch for our girls night and he missed all the cues which stressed us out. A bit more attentive service could've took this review to 4 stars. Maybe it's our fault for not being like " hey we need you to take our order soon, bring us bread, make sure we have refills, and bring the checks stat". Drinks we're good per usual and food was ok( scampi was bland). The place was packed but I'm all about service so this missed just a smudge and stressed us out having to rush when you have a babysitter at home on a time crunch :( read more

Every time we gone here we've always had a good experience. We've had brunch here as have come in multiple times for wine. First of all, the chilaquiles for brunch is flipping amazing. Highly recommend. They had a good assortment of other options but I'm a sucker for a good chilaquiles. Haha our waiter was also great and recommended options to match our food. Wonderful 1st time here, Justine Kohli was our server, and she was great. She helped with all the questions we had and I couldn't recommend a better server for our 1st time there. The food was also very fresh for us and everything tasted very yummy! The menu is conservative and pricey for the offerings. Menu is getting tired - suggest new options. Service is always excellent, including the wine tasting. Ivory was doing her best, but seemed overwhelmed with diners.... Perhaps more training.... The setting near a Centerville park is great as is the ambience. We visited prior to Christmas, and Cooper's Hawk is busy. A bar window booth brings in the outdoors, and satisfies our need to day to explore the menu. Elected the burgers, and very good. I used to love Cooper's Hawk, but the last few times I've been it's been disappointing. I have food allergies and I always tell the servers. My food always comes out correctly. The problem is that Cooper's Hawks keeps making less and less food options for those with food allergies. I use to be able to get broccoli, but this location puts butter on all their broccoli. I was left with either broccoliini or green beans. Thankfully they haven't change the Asian slaw because that is a favorite. I don't think I'll be back for awhile again because sometimes I'd like a little more variety available. Service was great as always though. The restaurant is always nice and clean. The egg rolls, potstickers, and calamari were probably the highlight of the day The braised short ribs and risotto were good, the pistachio crusted grouper was good, the scallops were a bit on the tough side but reasonable However, when it came to the kitchen's understanding of what medium rare, medium, and medium well should be, it was a different story.I ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done, and another family member asked for a medium well that came out completely rare. Both of us had to have our steaks cooked twice, and even then, they still weren't right The manager attempted to make things better by giving us two truffles, which were very rich and not to my liking. I would have preferred a different type of compensation. I usually leave 5-star reviews, but this one deserved a 4-star rating because the kitchen staff didn't get the steak temperatures right. Service was a little slow, but the waiter did mention that the bar and kitchen were backed up at times. Dishes are pricey, and it's overall been hit or miss most times that we go for dinner in regards to quality of the dishes. The egg rolls might be one of my favorite things on the menu and we order them every time without question. So good and flavorful! The tuna was not the best quality. Steak wasn't cooked quite to the temperature. Was supposed to be an 8 oz filet, but it was smaller than that. The broccoli was barely cooked so it was extremely hard still. The shredded potatoes seemed a little undercooked, as well - tasted like we were just eating a milky/creamy soup that lacked much flavor or shredded potatoes within. It's nice to visit different Cooper's Hawk location. Since my best friend lives near this area, we decided to meet at up for a wine tasting and dinner. I like the set up of this place. The tasting room is spacious and the dining area as well. The tasting room was not too busy. We waited 10 minutes before someone waited on us. The menu for this month's wine was a good selection. Of course we did the variety not the sweet. What I didn't like is when they poured our wine, they didn't give any descriptions about it. Just poured and walked away. Dinner was great. Our server was attentive and down to earth. We ordered: Over the Boarder Egg rolls (shared) Parmesan Crusted Mahi Mahi (I ordered) Braised Short Rib Risotto (My Mr ordered) Tuna sashimi (Best friend ordered) Parmesan crusted chicken (BF husband ordered) The Mahi Mahi was new on the menu so I had to try it. The fish was flaky and I loved the broccolini and mashed potatoes. My Mr. loved his meal but couldn't finish. We definitely took it home. My friends chicken was undercooked, but they fixed it right away and brought him another one. Other than that, the experience was good. We ordered the arancini appetizer and we both had pasta entrees. Everything was delicious. I did prefer the sauce that came with the arancini balls over the one used in my entree. We were there during brunch so we had a pitcher of Sangria. It was good but the fruit was lost in the ice cubes. Prices are not cheap. Portions are good for your meal with no leftovers. read more
