The new team at this Winans location has truly created a friendly and caring customer service experience. I was dissatisfied with previous experiences I had here but I chose to come in today and could instantly feel a difference. The team welcomed me in and had very kind conversations with me. They were steady busy and it didn't take long for me to still receive my beverage. They wished me safe travels and to enjoy my day as I left. I will be coming back again, as the manager there explained that she has a new team that is more caring and focused better on those they serve. This location has really taken a turn for the worse. This is my before-work stop and I don't think my past 5+ drinks have even had espresso in them. I've also heard that Winans does not use fresh - hot espresso for their cold drinks which disappoints me heavily. not even starbucks dares to use old espresso in their cold drinks.. becoming corporate has ruined their identity. i won't be going & will be making sure those around me are aware. check out better local joints like pettibone, press, or warehouse 4. read more

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews, but my experience at Winans on Feedwire was so disappointing that I felt compelled to warn others. This location has completely lost any sense of customer service or professionalism. I've given it multiple chances, and each visit has only gotten worse. First off, there is a staff member here who unfortunately is ruining the whole experience because they're always there. This employee is just consistently rude, dismissive, and flat-out disrespectful. They also act like they know what they're talking about when sometimes they flat out do not. they also act visibly annoyed if you dare ask a question or place a slightly complicated order. or if you come in 20 minutes till close, and it's then that she lies to you and tells your they are out of everything but tea. It's like common courtesy and basic customer service training skipped this place entirely. I've never felt so uncomfortable ordering a cup of coffee. I have also seen her flat out yell at one of her coworkers, who to my understanding was relatively new, and basically berated him in front of the entire store. i've asked around and found out she is not the boss, not the store owner, so why the hell is she acting like it. she's been here for a very long time and i'm surprised she hasn't been told off yet. Speaking of coffee, it's average at best. and when you combine it with the horrendous service, it's absolutely not worth the money or time. There are plenty of other local spots where the coffee is better, and the staff actually treat you like a human being. I've supported Winans in the past, but this particular location is an embarrassment to the brand. I won't be coming back, and I'd highly recommend others avoid this location unless they enjoy being talked down to by staff who clearly don't want to be there. This is by far My favorite coffee but the customer service here has gone down significantly in the last few months. It's always the same girl and if you get there within ten minutes of closing she won't make anything except an iced drink. Don't use your gift card here because she says they all don't work or she doesn't know how to use them. read more

This was my go to location for a very long time but as of recently the customer service has declined drastically. There is often a woman working who will speak very loudly including yelling across the store to employees and at Alexa which affects the overall experience creating a loud stressful environment which is not what I'm wanting when trying to read or work on something. The quality is still decent but often rushed and has declined including burnt or weak coffee. I'd rather wait some extra time if it means my drink will be made well. I used to go often normally 3-4 times a week but lately I've opted for other locations due to this. Friendly staff, but decaf coffee tastes like an ashtray. The roast is so extremely smokey that it's practically inedible.

The drinks here are great, but honestly not good enough to make up for the customer service. I understand i do, i worked in coffee for a very long time so i get how stressful it can be but honestly i don't understand. If one of your employees doesn't handle stress or customers well, why would you hire them?? there is one girl in particular who works here, she is here very often in the afternoons. she is just downright rude, not only to her customers, but to her coworkers, I can't tell you how many times I've stood there awkwardly while she yells at her poor coworker who did a mistake or isn't working fast enough for her. she straight up complains in front of the customers, whether it be that they ordered too much or they came in at the wrong time. it's just baffling, I really hope that this could be helpful to not only her but the managers as a wake up call read more

I love Winans! I usually frequent the Maineville location, but I have been visiting this location more lately and cannot say enough great things about the staff! Every single time I'm here the staff is in a great mood. Like more than the "must have had their coffee today" kind of mood. They are super excited to be there and even more excited that you are! More than coffee, they offer LOADS of chocolate. It's kind of dangerous for me to go inside, so I usually hit the drive-thru. This is not a speedy stop, so lose your in-and-out expectations and replace them with expectations for speedy and friendly service and some really great coffee. I recommend the Highlander Grog---they have it year round and it is stellar! read more

I've heard so many people talk about how much they love this place, and as a bit of a coffee snob I was reluctant. They have a lot themed and flavor options which is usually a bad sign for the quality of coffee. I'm afraid my gut instinct was correct. I ordered an iced coffee with cream and sugar, it was eh. Nothing to write home about. I also had the 4 berry muffin it was also eh... the service was good though. The lady at drive through was very sweet and helpful. I will NEVER step foot in the location at Sugarcreek Crossing again. A few weeks ago I went in there because I really wanted a caramel apple and they make really good ones. There were two young people working in there; a blond female and a person with short dark hair. When I went to check out, they left me standing there for what I think was a long time, without any acknowledgement. They were both busy taking care of the drive thru orders. Nonetheless, I waited and then checked out. Today, I went back because I wanted another apple. They didn't have any plain caramel apples on the shelf. I asked the same two people, the blonde female and dark haired person, if there were any plain caramel ones. The blonde was busy making a coffee drink that required her to nurse some steamed milk or something. The dark haired person went to the back to look. She came back and I was told there were no plain ones. I was ready to settle for a poorly made pecan apple. I say poorly made because there was barely any caramel on the apple. It was all pooled at the bottom w/ the pecans. I went to the counter and the blonde said they would be right with me. Meanwhile the dark haired person was just standing around talking to the blonde and even though eye contact was made, no action was put forth to assist me with check out. I was just left standing there waiting. I promptly put the apple back on the shelf and left. I don't know if it was racial or if these two people are young and lack professionalism, but this incident left a bad taste in my mouth. I am a very frequent customer of Winans. I prefer their coffee over Starbucks. The past few months, the quality and consistency of my order, which is the same every time, has become very poor. I rarely get the size drink that I order and pay for and the consistency of the frappe is completely different every time. Lately it comes out the consistency of milk. Its so watery, It's disgusting. Great place to get coffee. They play great music but the music is a little too loud for reading/studying while drinking their great coffee. Location is great for when I am planning to meet friends for dinner and just need some coffee because my work day nearly killed me. My friends say I have an addiction to coffee. I don't see it. If I was addicted to something, wouldn't I be the first to know?!? Duh!!! Besides, I can go days without coffee. And those days are usually the most restful because I can't seem to hold my eyes open.
