We drove in from Kansas. Half way to Florida, the drivers side handle broke off on our vehicle. Cooper's was our first stop to replace it. He ordered the part to be delivered the next morning. I dropped my car off and he suggested I wait at a diner up the street (best coffee I've had in a long time!) while he replaced the handle. An hour later, and I had a working door again! As a tourist, I was worried about being charged extra anywhere I went, but that wasn't an issue at Cooper's. The price was extremely fair and the service was fast and top notch! read more

They literally stole my wife's money. She took her car to Cooper Paint and Body Shop a few months ago for a steering wheel issue. After five months and spending almost $2,000 on repairs, her car still isn't working. She noticed this for the past month. When I went there personally, they were extremely rude, attacked me, and three employees yelled at me simultaneously. If you live in Key West, be aware of this shop. Their slogan is "nobody does it better" - pretty funny, right? After reading some of their reviews, I can see we're not the only ones. read more

they overcharged me by 450.00 on my invoice for work that was not done and gave me 240.00 back, ordered the wrong part and never attempted to contact me again . told I will not be getting the rest of my money back and never want to see me or my car again . Their customer service person, Alexandria was quite pleasant on the phone and always followed up to let me know when the parts would arrive and when I could get the repair scheduled. The body work itself looks brand new and I am totally delighted as I take very good care of my vehicle. Got a flat tire visiting Key West. Waited 20 mins at Sears Auto to tell me it would be 4 hours. Keys Auto said next week. Cooper's was a little further but was in and out of there in 20 mins. I really can't thank them enough for saving our day. The staff was really nice. There aren't many tire options out there and I was afraid of people taking advantage of the situation. More than money, we didn't have the luxury of waiting half the day. Coopers was further but we still made it in time for brunch at Blue Heaven. read more

I chipped a rental car, knew they would charge me out the wazoo so went to several shops, all booked out weeks including Coopers but the owner, Shane took pity on me and worked me in. They did an amazing job overnight and Shane even drove me back to our hotel while it was being worked on. They are awesome! read more

My 22-year-old daughter was in a fender bender driving my three month old car. I was devastated. The good part is she was OK the bad part is the car had a big dent in the front end. It seemed a lot worse than it was because it was a new car. I took it to Coopers and they returned it back to me looking as good as it looked the day I drove it off the lot. They even did a full detail on the inside of the car at no extra charge. The man who came out in a valuated the car was very polite, very friendly and soothing as he knew I was panicked. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do and he did what he said and more. Great company with great service. Five star work for sure. read more

Had a small, slow leak on the face of my Michelin tire. The repair was totally botched. Not only did they charge me$53.00 for the repair but they destroyed the tire in the process. They used cheap plugs for the repair, missed the very small leak with the first one and crammed in a second one right next to it leaving a large bulge on the face of the tire. The extremely poor quality of workmanship and ridiculous cost leaves me to not recommend anyone ever use this company. read more

If you have some cheap car what you don't care about and if you need just paint something on it, sure go to them. But if you have some car what you love and care about every detail, don't ever go there. They don't care about detail orientation and attentiveness. They also don't listen what you asking for, for example I was saying "Don't put the nameplate on the trunk, I'll do it by myself!" And of course they found it inside of vehicle and stack it there wrong. No more Coopers Also work takes too long, paint front bumper took them ONE MONTH! read more

Very nice people who do great work, quickly and cheaply! My car broke down, and they had it up and running in less than 24 hours, and when they found an extra problem that wasn't critical to fix immediately, they quoted me a price but didn't pressure me at all. They also have the best alignment system in Key West. read more

Recently Coopers completed work, both body and mechanical, on my 2004 SUV with over 250,000 miles on it. Taking Mr Coopers, and staff advice, this SUV emerged finished and amazed all. Engine repairs did what a other shops said couldn't be done, body was made to look new with minimum expense. Within two (2) days we had people asking if we bought a NEW SUV? One was an owner of an auto repair shop another was a good friend who new us longer than we owned this SUV. Can any shop get better recomendation than that??? read more

This place is a scam. We brought our vehicle in there for service on 9/19/2016 and didn't get it back until the end of October. I have never heard of windshield replacement taking over a month. Not to mention during the time the vehicle was at the shop for repairs, the rear driver side quarter panel was dented and scratched. we brought it up to the owners attention, and he took it to the back and sprayed it with some paint. It has been 5 months since we brought the vehicle in and there is still a part missing that the owner Warren claims he is waiting on. He advised me that this part won't affect my driving performance, so he wanted me to take the vehicle while he waits for the part.The total paid was 3,995.37 . The time that it has taken to repair the windshield is from 9/19/2016 till now and currently still going. I have tried to reach out to the body shop via telephone just to find myself being harassed by a girl named Melissa. Each time I call in she asks me for my last name as if I was a new customer. I only call for one reason, and that's to inquire about the part that I already paid for. She is always in a bad mood when dealing with me after I have explained to her numerous times that I just want my money back for the part. I can easily find one of those parts online or at a junk yard in Miami. And if not, I can still drive around without it. All in all, I have been very frustrated with this establishment but more so with myself. I am a local here in town and I have been advised by other locals not to deal with these folks, but I couldn't wait. The other shop was busy and couldn't get me in. We have one vehicle we use for everything and we had to have the work done. I do understand that there are times when people have more work than they can handle and they get behind. I do realize some parts aren't always readily available and is on back order. But it's the duty of the owner, supervisor or managers to advise the customers of the work status so that they can plan accordingly. we were told one week. then two weeks, then three weeks and now it's going on months. What I don't think is right is to take people's money before performing and completing the work, and halfway through it, disregard the customer's inquiries and concerns. After my experience with Cooper's Paint And Body, I am sad to say there is no honesty, integrity or professionalism at this place. They have a high school girl in there answering the phone with a serious attitude and an owner who is never around. After living here for 14 years I know that there isn't many competition and that's why a lot of places treat people the way they do, but that's no way to show appreciation to those who have helped the place become what it is. My ethnicity is Asian/Pacific Islander. I would hate to assume something that isn't true, but from the beginning of this ordeal, I did suspect the owner, Warren being uncomfortable around me, but at the same time turn around and smile and laugh with the people of the same skin pigmentation. I'm not sure, I may just be over thinking about the situation since I've been harassed so much by him and his high school employee. Small business usually take the time and effort to reach out to the customers to ensure that work and services were performed to the satisfactory of the paying customers. That's not the case here. Each time I step my foot in the office, or dial their number, I get treated as if I'm in the welfare or food stamp line with my hands out. Don't mistaken this review as something to bash this business. That's simply not my goal, they will get the business regardless, due to shortage of competition. I just want to inform people that there are other places that are far more reputable, honest, reasonable and professional. Do not waste your time or disappoint yourself. read more
