Gluten free pizza! I got the 1/2 Supreme. It was good, and enough for one person. My only comment is that I wish it had a tad bit more sauce but it was still delicious. The service was good and the rest of the menu has a great variety of items. They also have a large case of desserts (including a gf option). They looked great but I didn't try any. We had the burger, cooked perfect, with onions, bacon, smoked cheddar, smoked mozzarella, topped with Ranch dressing. Great burger, side of house made chips. Family had the pulled pork grinder. Awesome, juicy tender pulled pork, smoky sweet bbq sauce, mozzarella cheese. Side of Cole slaw, awesome BBQ beans, and housemade chips. One of the worst meals I have ever eaten at a restaurant. The ribs were tough and tasted like shoe leather. My wife's "jerk chicken" was nothing like jerk chicken, it was SPICY HOT and over cooked. Good food - but horrible service after 8pm. If you sit at the bar, stay away from the end with the juice mixes and blenders (unless you have a thing for fruit flies and gnats). But the food is great - grab a booth and try any of the Caribbean inspired pizza or sandwiches and you'll leave happy and satiated. I have eaten here many times and the food and service has always been great. The staff are polite and the place has a cheeful atmosphere. I have a weakness for their Blackened Tuna, awesome. Went again to Cootie Browns tonight. Ordered our steak sandwiches we've gotten before which we had enjoyed. Tonight, they were rather tough and dry. The best part of the meal was the chips! Our friends had the salmon that was cooked to perfection, but the crab cakes tasted more like bread cakes with some spicy sauce couldn't taste the crab at all! The tamales were drowning in the sauce and toppings so they couldn't taste even the corn or the chicken. Something is a miss here. We've had much better but Cooties seems to have gone down hill. Not impressed. Had cup of chicken tortilla soup. It was better than the meal, but it came during the meal instead of the appetizer. Had the ribeye steak sandwich, unimpressed, the tomatoes weren't ripe, they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and was overdone. Nice, fun restaurant, with a good size menu. We enjoyed sitting in the open air area for dinner. I had the seafood sampler with salmon, yellowfin tuna, and shrimp. Shrimp tasted great though there were only three and not very large. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The yellowfin was a bit over done and was ok. The fruit salsa that was on top and the rice fantastic. I also had two sides, Brussel sprouts in vinegar and spinach and artichoke. I ordered the fish with jerk seasoning but to be honest it was all a bit bland. Everything definitely needed salt which made the flavor good. The Brussel sprouts were ok, maybe could have been cooked longer. The artichokes and spinach tasted great once salted. Cootie Brown's is just ok. We've been there a few times now and my husband loves the jerk chicken meal. My daughter also likes their pizza. I've gotten the nachos and tamales and both weren't that good. They were also pretty pricey. $20 for three cheese tamales is a huge rip off. In the neighborhood I once lived in, I could get a dozen for $10 - fresh not frozen and reheated! We were excited about this place at first but the last time we went and took our children, it was so expensive and really underwhelming.
