The aesthetics are one of the main reasons to visit. Parking is a bit obscure but you can park on the main road and walk over. The burritos are quite good and filling for a reasonable price (obviously better if you work nearby or someone you go with does). Workers are nice and attentive. Definitely a nice place to enjoy some cafe time.some of their coffee drinks are a miss. read more

This is one of my go-to spots to study or grab a meal. The space is very nice with tall ceilings, lots of natural light, and plenty of room to sit. It gets busy during lunch with the nearby biotech crowd, but it still feels relaxed and comfortable. Service is good, and the drinks and food are great. I recently had the brisket lunch burrito, which was very tasty. Balanced flavors and even better with the addition of the sauce on the side. Their coffee and teas are consistently solid too. They also have an outdoor seating area that is also very spacious and pleasant. My only wish is that Copa Vida stayed open later. Otherwise, it's a fantastic spot to work, eat, or hangout. read more

I AM SO SO SAD. I initially found Copa Vida during the pandemic, I ordered back then the Avocado Toast and it was literally THE BEST AVOCADO TOAST I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I came back expecting the same and I was SO SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED :0( The avocado toast was bland, way smaller, no more caramelized onions, not much balsamic vinegar reduction, basil was cut way too big and there was way too much, the cherry tomatoes weren't seasoned. This place fell from such greatness. The Lattes also weren't special or notable, but I must say the interior decorations were top notch. Definitely a spot to chill and study or work. Even the outdoor seating was beautiful. Can't say I'd want to come back after the quality dropped so much... :0( read more

I used to come here every week when I was at school and I miss it some much. The Caesar salad is something I still dream about. I'm more of a sweet coffee (but not like candy sweet) person so I did often have to ask for my drinks extra sweet since their standard is more on the subtly sweet side. read more

The tea was good tried their pu-erh tea which was dark and smooth. Didnt really try the food but the people I went with really enjoyed it. They brought the food right to the table. Great service. Hidden coffee shop gem that is beautiful and very clean! My friend and I wanted to inquire about holding an event there and the barista had their manager come talk to us. They both worked on our drinks and the lattes looked and tasted incredible. Both were so helpful and spent some time talking to us about the space and Copa vida. Friendliest coffee shop we've been to in a long time. After we left, I received an email right away connecting me with their events staff. This is a hidden gem! We normally go to Copa Vita by Carmel county Road, but they close down for many months for renovation. It is still not open yet. My daughter asked us to meet here to have breakfast breakfast. The ambience and atmosphere are amazing. It is very quiet place. You can definitely do your study and you can definitely have a little meeting if needed. read more

I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! Drinks/Food: I had a matcha latte with simple syrup that wasn't the best I've ever had, but was still pretty decent for a place that doesn't specialize in matcha drinks. I didn't try any food today but heard from friends that it's pretty good! Interior/ exterior: Copa Vida is nestled between some office buildings & I couldn't find a parking lot so I ended up street parking. Interior is super cute and chic, with only a few tables for single parties. There's some larger tables for parties of 2 or more though. There's also plenty of seating outside but unfortunately, I came after a day that it had rained and most of the seats (made of fabric) was wet. I ended up finding a plastic chair so it ended up working perfectly. There appeared to be some outlets inside as well. Staff were also super friendly and service was quick! On campus !?!? As a UCSD student, I still can't believe we managed to get a Copa Vida on campus. It's located in the new Sixth college, right off of Ridge Walk (a major walkway for students). I had the matcha latte with light ice, and sweetened with agave per a friend's suggestion and thought it was perfect for the warm weather. The flavor was great, and not as bland as other places I've tried. The service here is phenomenal, where I always feel very welcomed whenever I come in. This is a must-try if you're ever visiting the campus! read more

Very nice place to hang out and have a coffee or lunch. They can get very busy as it's close to UCSD and many nearby biotech companies. If you are lucky enough to get a table, it's a very asthetically pleasing location. I also like the fact that customers here know to keep their voice down, unlike some other locations where I've seen ppl with full on conference call, and everyone in the cafe had to hear the whole conversations. It's very relaxing here and they have many great food options. I had the parfait and korean chicken salad, latte and also tea, and all were very good. read more

Aaagh. How I love a beautiful outdoor setting *heart eyes*. I probably never woulda found this place had I not been at Torrey Pines Golf Course yelping lunch spots. It's in a sciencey area that unless you had very specific business there you would not stumble upon it. Divine outdoor setting. Nothing is cheap - thank God. It's high quality furniture. I love the layout. Inside is equally as nice. Food is yummy. Lovely coffee bar in the middle and if you walk down the street a bit there's a cool walking path to burn off a few calories. This location is close to my office where I started working about a month ago. It was my first time here and I was impressed by the vibe of the place. There are plenty of space to sit with colleagues both indoor and outdoor. I was there during lunch and it was a bit crowded but not that I couldn't find a table. The food was great. The price was okay (a bit on the high side) but they taste good. The coffee was okay. I had a match milk tea and it was a bit too light. There are not many options for restaurants in the area so this place is a good choice if you work among those biotech building. read more

Love how airy all the copa vidas are. This isn't far my favorite. Spacious, beautifully decorated with an incredible outdoor area. Food and drinks are good. Teas are on the pricier side ($4.75!) but otherwise love this place. Service is pretty fast and fairly friendly. read more

Copa vida is inside a bio tech building and it's honestly so nice and bougie in there. I love coming to study or work here because everyone else is doing the same, grabbing a coffee and on their computers. It has become my go to when I don't want to work from home. Their outside area is so nice and WiFi is strong out there. I got a matcha and it was a bit Mikey (I like mine earthy & strong) I asked barista if he can add more matcha and he re-made it and made it stronger! I was satisfied. This location just soft opened about 3 months ago and they're still setting some things up (date today is Aug 26th, 2021). I came to get some work done so my point of view is coming how well this serves to get some work done/catch up with a friend. PARKING: You can park along the street and you should be fine (don't spill over to the red curb when parking bc they're very serious about it!) However, it was a bit hard to find parking since this is in a business area. HOURS OF OPERATION: It's 8 am - 3pm, Monday through Friday. Peak busy store times allegedly is during lunch (post 11am-ish) so keep that in mind if you wanted to find a spot. They do serve food too so the tenants around Copa Vida drop by for food. PATIO AREA: The patio area is SPACIOUS. A decent number of tables and areas to sit down (very few with outlets). However, the seats can be a tad bit dirty with leaves and morning dew due to the foliage/plants they have. Not really bothersome though since the plants contribute to the ambience. INSIDE STORE: Inside is very clean. A decent number of spots with a few being able to hold a large party (but these spots have no outlets). The seats along the right side of the store is where you'll be able to find outlets to charge your laptop. BE WARNED: there is still construction going on at this moment, so it does have loud ambient noise inside the store. Doesn't really bother me though since I just pop in headphones. There are bathrooms which are extremely clean (well, at least the men's are). COFFEE: I'm very basic and usually order just an iced mocha wherever I go but this locations iced mocha is good! The coffee taste isn't too strong in their iced mocha so that is something I appreciate. Overall, I'll say 4.5 stars for now because the experience was nice but the construction can be bothersome at times. The staff is very friendly, area is clean and well kept, iced mocha is good. Would recommend this place to do work earlier in the morning than later. read more

This has got to be one of the most beautiful Copa Vida's! The ambience of this place is so serene. Bright and open, high ceilings and you can tell the interior was thoughtfully curated. This may be my new favorite coffee shop in San Diego. The ambiance is incredible, I could absolutely stay here for hours and remain mesmerized by how spacious and beautiful the environment is. We've also received some of the best service in a cafe. One of the workers here, Nick, was incredibly friendly and thoughtful in his interaction with our group. The coffee he recommended was incredible and our entire party was satisfied with our order. Would definitely recommend coming here! read more

Just discovered this place and I'm blown away with the beautiful open space. Lots of outlets for your devices and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. I got the pumpkin spice latte and she unscheduled artichoke croissant - both delicious. Super nice staff and clean restrooms. came here to grab coffee w a friend + study on a wednesday morning, they have a variety of food and drinks and a LOT of seating. didn't try any food but I got the iced matcha latte ($5.75) and it was just average to me, also less sweet than other places parking: street parking on science center drive (across the street) seating: sooooo much variety of seating both inside and outside, it did get more crowded around lunchtime but not full study environment: 5/5 for this, forgot to check for outlets and bathroom but pretty sure they're available, and there is wifi and so much seating and it's not loud read more

Ambience 9/10 Lunar New Year Croissant Described as a croissant filled with sesame and almond paste, this is a good but not great croissant. It has the layers, it has the chew, but it's no better than a croissant you would get at a number of other bakeries in the area. But those other bakeries are charging $4-7 instead of $10! The almond and sesame flavors were both very subtle and make me believe there is just a very minimal amount used in the recipe. Would not recommend even as a chewy over crispy croissant guy. 5/10 Creme brûlée latte Pretty much what I wanted without description. Creamy, noticeable but not overpowering vanilla flavor, and a lovely burnt topping for bitter balance. The coffee still comes through meaning this is a well crafted latte, not a dessert. This one actually comes at a pretty decent price too. 8/10 Yuzu & lime tart Their take on meringue pie is composed of a graham crust, yuzu mousse, and a meringue topper with a circle of lemon curd gel. To my taste, there is too much sweet on this plate, needing some balance of tart. But the textures of each component were on point: fluffy meringue, thick lemon gel, dense crust, and substantial yet airy mousse. Torching the meringue at home added a bitter element which I think made the sweetness more palatable. Would have liked the citrus to be more present. 5/10. All in all I would choose other sweets shops at most shopping centers than return here but for drinks this is a pretty good option.

While I was getting bread, I was asked to move aside so they could restock, which I completely understood. Then while waiting for my drink, I was told to step outside, which I also understood. But when it was finally my turn to get my drink, I was asked to move away yet again because they needed to return the bread bin to the baking area. I understand employees have work to do, but the repeated interruptions and tone made the experience feel uncomfortable and unfriendly. Hoping management can look into who was working around 4 PM today and improve how customers are treated.

The shop is clean and upside they have their own designated restroom. Workers are always friendly and patient here!

Place is deceivingly small - there are a bunch of seating - I wouldn't go in with a large group but definitely places to sit, chat or work on your laptop (saw several students? hammering away on their laptop keyboard). Not sure, but maybe they also offer WIFI.? Drinks seems watered down in my opinion. And I've ordered the same drinks at other locations and either the ingredients were off or it was prepared differently that didn't quite align to my expectations and taste. However, place was busy so maybe it's just how it's served as business was steady and I saw a few order the same as what I got. Don't live in the area so highly unlikely that there will be a return visit.

But maybe it's one off and just this drink. I haven't tried the other ones but the Thai tea one looked pretty good. The staff is nice and welcoming and the vibe of the store is cozy a good study spot! Plenty of parking in the plaza!
