Roasted oolong tea & strawberry matcha
    Mei T.

The tea here was below average. I got the roasted oolong fresh tea with grass jelly. It didn't taste like roasted oolong and didn't taste fresh. It tasted like watered down day-old tea that was pretty much flavorless. The strawberry matcha latte with sea cream was not much better. The sea cream definitely didn't go with the latte and gave it a funky taste. Neither of us were happy with our drinks. This was one of those places that we can check off as "been there, done that" and close the door, never to come back.

Haven't had a drink I didn't like here at Arteazen. Recently tried the Tiger Thai after not coming here for a while. Still delicious! Thai tea with Oreo cookie bits. Customized with a lower sugar level and still tasted good. You order on a kiosk and was ready within 5 mins. No human interaction at all. Pretty busy shop around 9pm on a Friday. Open late!

We were walking by and decided to grab a sweet treat. Ordered the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba--golden boba, 50% sweetness, less ice. Unfortunately, the boba wasn't sweet at all and the texture was inconsistent between sips. The tea itself was flat, not very fragrant, and overall disappointing. 3/5

    Korean Strawberry Milk w/boba

Wanted to try this place after a morning workout. This is in a shopping center with CVS and parking can be tight. The store was clean. You place your order on a kiosk. I ordered a Korean Strawberry Milk Tea (75% sweet) with golden boba. Size was a good portion. First time I've tried this flavor and it was yummy. Tasted just like Strawberry Quik but not too heavy because it was tea-based. Nostalgic flavor that brought me back to my childhood days drinking the rabbit strawberry quik powder...lol. There was also sweet strawberry chunks inside. It's one of their Most Loved/Popular drinks. I would definitely order again. TY Arteazen!

Came here due to convenience and available study space. I've been a few times over the years, and this was the first time in a long time. Drinks have definitely increased in price but seem to be average for boba shops. I ordered the tiger Thai tea drink with 25% sugar. I usually order 50% at other places but I'm glad I got even less here. My drink was still quite sweet. Not a huge fan of Oreo in my drinks but I found that it added a nice crunch. Although this drink appears to be innovative, it was still really average. Inside was clean and service was fast. There are many outlets available which I appreciated. Parking is easy. Overall, average drink but good place to hang out with friends or get work done.

Great high quality milk and boba teas, prompt ordering via a kiosk and fast service, and relatively spacious/narrow environs with seats. Got the Korean strawberry milk tea and it was great - check it out in La Jolla!

I always want Thai tea nowadays. I was thirsty and found Arteazen in the area. I think my sis tried Arteazen recently at a street fair and liked it. Taking a look at the pics, the Tiger Thai tea caught my eye! It almost looks like a tiger with its white and orange stripes! It's a small shop and it was packed inside as we entered. One guy working the counter and one in the back making the drinks. Most people there were gathering with friends. They also have board games if you're looking to hang there for a bit. I got the Tiger Thai tea, no boba. It's a variation on their regular Thai tea which they call the Royal Thai. They only have one size. It's a fairly large, 20 oz. It would be nice if they had different size options, but it's a perfect size to share with the hubs. My drink was just over $7. The Tiger Thai tea is made with Thai tea, puff crème topped with Oreo crumbles and mixed together. I asked what was the difference between the Royal Thai and Tiger Thai, he responded the Royal was only Thai tea and the Tiger Thai was sweeter. Geezy...ok! The Tiger Thai was definitely different. It had smoky flavor and the puff crème made it a tad bit sweeter. I typically love Oreo crumbles but all together I found it a bit odd. I'm not sure what exactly threw the drink off for me, the smokiness or the puff crème or Oreo crumbles in my tea... I usually get it my Starbucks which I absolutely love. The cup that the Thai tea is made in is a thick plastic which is nice and sturdy which I appreciate instead of the usual thin plastic ones that feel like you can bust the entire drink if squeezed or shaken too hard. If in the area I may go back and try the Royal Thai. Staff were friendly and answered my questions about the drinks. It was easy to find and in the same lot as Nature Forward Social Bistro. It's a small parking lot but we didn't have any issues parking. 2025: 23

Ok well plenty of parking however no sitting outdoors however inside has seating and very clean. Employees very nice and willing to go over the different drinks. I would say it is small and a few dessert items. You can order thru a kiosk or the counter. I did order a mango and passion fruit tea with 50% sugar and honey boba. It was ok . Overall this place is ok .

Shoutout to the guy who helped me add more sweetener to my drink to accommodate and satiate my sweet tooth. I didn't catch a name but he was wearing an orange yellowish shirt. Very pog 4/27/26 8:34 pm

Arteazen is a tea shop that's located down the street from University Town Center in SD near La Jolla. They have classics such as Jasmine Green Tea and signature drinks like Tiger Thai Tea and Korean Strawberry Milk. The drinks were pretty good, there is plenty of parking in their lot, but there is limited seating inside. Overall, good place to get milk tea to go without having to deal with parking at the busy mall!

first time here, and it was just okay. boba didn't taste that fresh. compared to other boba shops in the area, this one did not live up to the expectations.

A nice study spot! I came here around 4 on a weekday and there were plenty of seats. I ordered the brown sugar boba latte (8.5/10) and it was pretty good. It was just regular milk but the sweetness was super delicious! It wasn't too loud, even on a friday and I stayed for a couple hours doing hw. The only downside is the spotty wifi.

    Matcha Oreo Brulee

We ordered the matcha brulee oreo with 75% sweet. The drinks tasted SO WATERED DOWN, so i kindly asked the guy working if he can remake it for us, since theres a sign that says if were not satisfied they will remake our drinks. He tells me the drink is supposed to taste watered down ... which makes no sense. And said theres nothing he can do about it .. very disappointed *WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DRINK*

The see-through windows, the bar seating along the windows that open up, and the one-way traffic across the cafe...all screams cozy and articulate. I like that they post the menus outside too, in case of long lines, so that you don't flip and freak out when you get to the front and don't know what to order. What I've tried off their menu so far, were Americanos, Lattes, hot and cold. Cold drinks are my default though, you can never go wrong with iced coffee. Their white chocolate is popular, they run out quick, but regular choco does well in a pinch. I absolutely love the part where they give the cup to you at the end of the bar, for adjustments and adding in more milk/sugar. And also to see latte art before closing your cup. I don't know what it is, but that part in aspect allows you to take some time to appreciate coffee in general and then go back to the real world. It's just the little things that matter. Also, the employees are just always super uber nice here. They don't judge you for ordering two cups of coffee in one go, they actually commend the action!

Ambience 9/10 Lunar New Year Croissant Described as a croissant filled with sesame and almond paste, this is a good but not great croissant. It has the layers, it has the chew, but it's no better than a croissant you would get at a number of other bakeries in the area. But those other bakeries are charging $4-7 instead of $10! The almond and sesame flavors were both very subtle and make me believe there is just a very minimal amount used in the recipe. Would not recommend even as a chewy over crispy croissant guy. 5/10 Creme brûlée latte Pretty much what I wanted without description. Creamy, noticeable but not overpowering vanilla flavor, and a lovely burnt topping for bitter balance. The coffee still comes through meaning this is a well crafted latte, not a dessert. This one actually comes at a pretty decent price too. 8/10 Yuzu & lime tart Their take on meringue pie is composed of a graham crust, yuzu mousse, and a meringue topper with a circle of lemon curd gel. To my taste, there is too much sweet on this plate, needing some balance of tart. But the textures of each component were on point: fluffy meringue, thick lemon gel, dense crust, and substantial yet airy mousse. Torching the meringue at home added a bitter element which I think made the sweetness more palatable. Would have liked the citrus to be more present. 5/10. All in all I would choose other sweets shops at most shopping centers than return here but for drinks this is a pretty good option.

One of my cups fell out. It spilled all over the barista's work area. I felt awful and apologized immediately. The barista was understandably and visibly annoyed.
