    Rose Milk Cake
    Norma D.

Karak House Coffee shop was a hidden gem that I stumbled on. Had lunch a couple of doors down then had to make a pit stop for coffee & dessert. I love the ambience in this place, the variety of desserts available and their drink selections are great. I had the Rose latte with the Rose Milk Cake. The cake was super moist & delicious. We also tried their pistachios cookie. The baristas were super helpful in their recommendations. I love the presentation of their items and I love that they had a Spring Summer Collection to choose from. I'll be back

Super cute ambiance and the staff is friendly. Coffee is okay but a bit overpriced. Paid $10 for a regular oatmilk vanilla latte (including tip). I haven't tried the pastries but they do look delicious, the price just kinda deters me. Overall a cute place to have a coffee and snack!

Karak House Coffee: Date of Visit: 3.24.2026 Location: Sorrento Valley Cuisine Type: Cafe Vibe: Chill Cost: $$ Service: Fast Food/ Rating: -4/5- I had the cake and the cookie and the coffee. I'll say the cake is tres de leche and yeah its good not too sweet. The cookie is kind of ridiculously priced (it wasn't shown) its like $12 for a cookie that dubai chocolate craze. The coffee is typical kinda latte with a flair of saffron. Overall Thoughts: Best Thing I ate: This cake was like wet cake with a nice solid earl grey frosting Something to Improve: Its all good for what it is please at least for that cookie show me the price haha

    Karak House Iced Vanilla Latte

Karak House is always clean, welcoming, and has a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect whether you're meeting with clients, studying for school, or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. There's almost always a good mix of people working inside or out on the patio, giving the space a productive but comfortable energy without feeling overcrowded. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and efficient, and the drinks are reasonably priced for the quality you receive. My go-to is the Iced Vanilla Latte, which is always smooth, well-balanced, and never overly sweet. I've also tried several other drinks over the years, and everything has been consistently well-crafted. So if you're looking for a coffee shop with quality drinks, a great atmosphere, and a place where you can actually settle in and get some work done, this is the café for you!

Pleasantly surprised by this coffee shop! I visited with a friend to study on a Saturday afternoon. It was super busy, might not be the ideal place for a study sesh because the tables are small and the music is loud. Good WiFi and lots of parking though! I ordered an iced honey latte. Really good coffee! Well balanced, not too sweet. I'd visit again to try their food or matcha :)

We came for a late night coffee to go. I love that it's open late. You can't get a late night coffee in that many places. Everything sounded good to try. What I love is they had a Ramadan menu. I ordered the date cardamom latte and it was so good. Their Dubai cookie was good also. So tasty and fulfills my Dubai chocolate cravings. The staff was great. I was overwhelmed with the choices and didn't know what to pick. She understood and was ok with me taking my time. She explained the cookies they had. Nice and great customer service. Will definitely be back!

    Signature Karak Latte and Chai

One of my go-to spots to study, as a convenient place near UCSD. There are plenty of parking spots in the area. This cafe offers a lot of seating indoors and outdoors so depending on your vibe you can enjoy the sunshine with your treats! There are also outlets at the main tables, and when the tables aren't available, many are nice enough to let you still charge your devices. Service is always fast and excellent. When I went, I got the signature karak latte, which was a light coffee that had amazing hints of ginger. The latte art was so beautiful, I had to soak in the view before drinking it. I also got the signature karak chai, which was also a really light treat for those who enjoy cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon. These drinks remind me of drinking hot chocolate on a rainy evening. I will definitely be a returning customer as this is an ideal study spot!

Pistachio milk cake, almond croissant, rose matcha latte

This coffee is tucked away in one of the corporate plaza so it's an interesting location to see the least. There was a lot of room for guest on the patio and there was a lot of people studying indoors. My husband and I ordered the rose Matcha latte, homemade and croissant, and the pistachio milk cake. My husband didn't really like the rose Matcha latte. I think he thought it was too much rosewater essence in it however, I enjoyed my almond croissant and it was affordably priced. The pistachio milkshake was very good as well if you like very sweet desserts for me it was too sweet but for my husband, it was perfect for him. When I come back, maybe if I'm in the area.

    Lavender mint lemonade

Located in the business area, there are plenty of parking and the surrounding is not too crowded. It is next to the Korean chicken restaurant. They have plenty of seatings inside and outside. Pretty lights illuminates the patio seating area at night. Their lemonade is a good choice if you are wanting something refreshing; I had the lavender mint and both the lavender and the mint flavors were blended so well with the lemonade. Their coffees are also strong and had the nutty flavor (not the acidic type) and if you love chai, you should definitely try their chai or cardamom latte (recommend hot). And their cakes. Yes. Must try. The pistachio cake was very very moist. The pistachio did not taste artificial and the cake itself was spongy. It stayed fresh in the fridge for a couple of days and still good. Their Burnt Basque Cheesecake is spot on! If you have not had the wet, light, and super smooth basque cheesecake yet, do come here and try. They do give it with a small cup of chocolate syrup which tasted like the bottled Hershey's syrup so we normally eat it without. It doesn't enhance the cheesecake at all. Wish it was real dark chocolate instead of the artificial syrup. Your order comes out quickly and they do have a point system linked with your card. Just sign up when you pay on the card reader and you'll accumulate points in no time!

    Chocolate Latte

This place is my new favorite coffee shop! It truly is a hidden gem. You can't see it from the street so it's a iykyk type place. It's a great place to bring your laptop and work for the day. It's got plenty of open seating and it's not too loud. I got the Tiramisu Latte and it is made to perfection. It's got a nice velvety taste to it because of the soft foam they put on top. The tiramisu they put on top is so good and compliments the drink well. The drink itself isn't as sweet and when you mix it with the cake, it's just perfect. The drink is a little pricey at $11 but you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I also got the chocolate croissant which was amazing. When you take a bite, it's crunchy on the outside and you can taste each layer on the inside. It's got a lot of layers inside so that's how you know it's a high quality croissant that took a lot of love to make. I took it Togo but everything came out fast and the barista was great on providing recommendations. I'll be back to try some of their other pastries and drinks! Check it out if you're in the area looking for a nice boutique coffee shop

This place made a notable first impression on me. The vibe is different here. Lots of tables inside and out where people were meeting to socialize as well as collaborate on things. The shop itself is cute. I was greeted by a friendly barista who was happy to make suggestions. I ended up with an iced rose latte. Not to sweet. Just thr right balance of coffee and milk. I first tried it before mixing the milk in.... and the espresso itself was really good Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Rose Cardamom and Banana Matcha before mixing
    Deanne L.

For my first visit, I tried the Banana Matcha and my fiance got the Rose Cardamom iced latte. The menu had a lot of good items; it was hard for me to make a choice. My drink was good but didn't "wow" me. Wish the matcha was stronger. My fiance really liked his drink. Service was really nice from the cashier and she answered all my questions while offering her recommendations. Super busy shop on a week day morning, with a few people working on laptops. Drinks came out in what felt like 5 ish min. The menu looked appealing so will be back to try others.

    Alicia J.

I had a delicious milk drink with their signature spices. It didnt have caffeine and was perfect for the evening! Service was quick and kind. It gets busy so we had to sit outside but it was still nice! Im looking forward to coming back and trying the coffee.

There were so many sandwiches, cheesecakes, and bakery items to choose from that I had a hard time deciding. The staff was so kind and recommended some items. My favorite was definitely the greenhouse sandwich. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, and the bagel was warmed just right. I also tried a few bakery items. The double matcha canelé had a great texture with a crisp exterior and soft interior, but my absolute favorite was the double early grey financier. The earl grey flavor really stood out and made it the winner for me. I also tried the yuzu cheesecake, but honestly, it didn't taste too different from the lime cheesecakes I've had elsewhere. The cafe has plenty of tables and chairs, making it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy your time chatting with a friend or working/studying. Overall, this place literally made my Saturday morning perfect, and I would definitely come back as a regular on weekends.

Aesthetics The aesthics are a trendy style of light wood, minimalism neutrals, and metals accents with the dishware and chairs. The menu is Korean inspired, and reminds me of the trendy cafes in South Korea. They have plants from The Plant Daddies that I really adore. This is the kinda place I'd love to come and journal or work on my laptop Food & Drink What I like is that you can adjust the sweetness of the drinks, you just have to ask. Matcha latte - 25% sweetness, I can actually taste the matcha, which is rare for San Diego. Injeolmi matcha - 50% sweet, I can taste the injeolmi flavor but it's not overpowering so a good balance Sweet rum flavored canele - I've been getting into canele recently so I tried this one. Unfortunately this canele was pretty mediocre. The outside is supposed to be crispy and crunchy, but this one seems not as fresh. The inside is still nice gooey Ube cheesecake - a good cheesecake. If you like cheesecake, they have so many flavors available.
