    FIVE-LAYER LASAGNA
    Stanley W.

I am a pizza snob so this review might not apply to you. I thought the space was inviting and open. Walls had many TVs so it's probably great for game days, etc. I did like that their wines were all reasonably priced. Food: Farm house salad - 3/5 - decent. The dressing was a bit too acidic on my tongue. Psycho shroom pizza - 3/5. Alright, so brick oven pizzas are always a plus in my book. In my opinion, the dough had no crisp, it flopped too much, way too much flour on it because after each bite, I had to wipe the flour off my lips, which was annoying. The topping sounded nice on the menu, but it was meh. Yes, you do smell the truffle oil and the mushrooms were good although basic. I can't remember how the cheese was. Now, it was not a bad pizza by any means. I actually do think most normies would enjoy this. I just think the price did not standup to the quality. Lasagna - 4/5. This is a version that I've never had before, so I thought it was quite interesting. The layer of spinach was prominent and it was more forward than I expected, which I liked. Service: great service - thank you Bobo

We've been here several times and love this place! This last visit we ordered the wrong thing (our fault), but Jenna (our server) and John (mgr) were so kind to make the pizza we really wanted and provided outstanding customer service. The atmosphere is fun and the food is top quality...not your average pizza joint. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

What an amazing restaurant. I'll just say this; the food here is amazing. I especially love the pasta. It's just so good. Also, the service here is amazing. Our server, Jackson, would always satisfy our needs. This particular upper crust is located in an amazing place that is very lively. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant. Also, the cheese sticks are amazing.

Great food great atmosphere we will definitely be back. Lots of seating rather it's at the bar or seated at a table. Service was great from the host to the server they did it all with a smile. We went during lunch time right as they opened so they were very attentive. We had the fried mushrooms and the fried calamari to start both very good. I had the psycho mushroom pizza the wife went with the soup and salad all of it was very good.

Pan crisped fish with tomato salsa). fyi forgot to take photo before eating parts of it.

We were stunned by the Amazing fish, fantastic salad and a scrumptious 5 layer lasagna. But the star of the evening was their pan-crisped fish. IIt was such surprise to find it on the "pizza" menu and serving was huge. It's such an inventive recipe filled with flavor that you might possibly (if lucky) to find at a 5 star restaurant. The farmers market salad was also delicious, flavorful and perfect blend of flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant in Tulsa. Also had a wonderful waiter "Kam" who steered us through the menu with lots of helpful info. Serve was excellent.

My husband and I had occasion to travel to the south side of town for a show and wanted to try something we've never had before. Upper Crust has been there for as long as that shopping center has been there, so we figured it was obviously holding its own and doing good business. When we arrived, we told our waitress it was our first time and she recommended the social hour specials. I ordered ERWO and we got the fried mozzarella to share. Sorry, no picture of that! We devoured it. We asked a few more questions of the waitress who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, including letting us know we could order the pizzas in a smaller size for a lesser charge which wasn't obvious from a cursory review of the menu. We decided to share the Numbers pizza and the classic NYC Grinder. We did ask for the pizza to be well done. Everything arrived promptly and I would say the only note is we would have preferred the pizza more well done. Shortly after we asked for a box, the manager came over to check on us. The waitress had alerted him that it was our first time and he came over to check on our experience and leave us with a free appetizer coupon to use on return. We will be back. The service was excellent and there are other items we want to try out, and we loved that they were enthusiastic and welcoming. By comparison, when we went to another long-standing Tulsa restaurant for the first time recently, we were treated with condescension and basically ignored because we weren't their weekend regulars. Upper Crust welcomed us, fed us well and asked us to come back, with an appetizer on them. THAT is good service!

    THE REAL DILL

We visited Upper Crust while in town, and the food was amazing. We ordered the dill pickle pizza and I'm still thinking about it almost a week later--it was so unique, had incredible flavor, and the sauce was delicious. My mother-in-law had the pan-crisped fish and loved it so much she's already talking about going back. Great food and a place we'd definitely return to!

The food was amazing! The ambiance was sort of sports bar (which i wasn't expecting) but we had a good time. I got the strawberry Italian soda which was really good, and the appetizer was a goat cheese, fig mix. It was really good as well, our server was sweet & I would go back!

I am not sure what the entree was but it was delicious. It was penne dish with perhaps a vodka sauce. It was creamy with some tomato sauce and included sausage. The flavors were very pleasing. I ever order penne because I've had penne dishes in which the sauce didn't cook in to the pasta. The sauce in this dish penetrated the pasta quite well. It changed my opinion of penne. The room is perfect for the size of our group. It is not overly decorated allowing for the clubs to create their own ambiance. Ours was political. Ti Amo's has long been our go to Italian restaurant. We liked going to their Happy Hour. Except for this luncheon, we haven't been there since they started adding a charge for using credit cards. We like the convenience and safety of carrying very little cash. We don't use our debit card for purchases because it puts bank accounts at risk. If we are with people who want to go to a restaurant that charges for credit cards, we go there and pay with a credit card. When it's just the 2 of us, we tend to gravitate to the places that just include the card expense in their menu pricing.

We gave the restaurant several chances to redeem themselves - the most recent one being Valentine's Day 2026. Our waiter forgot our appetizer, two orders were completed messed up, we had to send our fish dish back because it was cold (which we rarely EVER do), and our waiter never came back for our drink order after the first round that we waited 40 minutes for. We also had to send back my husband's scallops because they were raw. Although we realize Valentine's Day is a busy time, this was an extremely disappointing date night that sealed our decision to not return. The two date nights we had prior to Valentine's Day (but still within the last couple years) were also characterized by poor service and mediocre food. And yes - we had reservations every time! Villa Ravenna used to be a spot you could get wonderful food and drinks at - it's unfortunate that it has gone downhill.

Our server came to our table shortly after and recommended an appetizer so we tried it. I want to firstly say that it took a very long time for the appetizer just to come out. We got the white bean dip that she raved about and it wasn't very good, definitely didn't live up to the hype. The sourdough bread it was served with was delicious though. We ordered our entrees with our appetizer and they took even longer to come out. My husband got the BUCATINI pasta and it was very mediocre (the noodles were made perfect) but the sauce was very bland and needed work. I got the TAGLIOLINI pasta and added grilled chicken. The pasta itself was cooked perfect but the sauce again bland and was even watery. The chicken was overcooked and dry which was disappointing considering it costs an arm and a leg for a small cut of chicken. Our server was also terrible. She checked on us 2 separate times throughout the entire experience and we spent a good hour and half there, she was VERY hard to locate and it was rather annoying to have to search for her when we needed something. We didn't expect to be this disappointed for a meal that we spent $64 alone without the tip. Needless to say we will not be going back. I don't recommend this place.

Gambill's is the best Italian food I've ever had and they are extraordinarily consistent in quality across each dish, quality across each visit, and quality of staff. Gambill's feels like a hole-in-the-wall place you just feel lucky to have found and are proud to support. They make all of their pasta fresh to order, all of their sauces and desserts in-house, and all of their pizzas are slow-fermented sourdough from a 233 year-old sourdough starter. And let me tell you, you can taste every bit of that family-owned, made with fresh ingredients, made in-house, and made with love flavor in every bite of every dish. I've gotten many things from Gambill's over the years, but I always go back to my regular order: Fettuccini Pesto Alfredo and Pesto Cheese Focaccia. The noodles are exquisite--soft and tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce is creamy, smooth, and extremely flavorful, bringing in the creamy and savory elements of a classic Alfredo sauce while pulling to the forefront the herbal flavors of the pesto in a way that strikes the precise balance. There is a ton of the pesto Alfredo sauce and it pairs just right with the noodles. The focaccia bread is loaded with a savory and powerful pesto they make in-house and smothered in fresh, melted mozzarella. It's the perfect complement to the fettuccini pesto Alfredo and you can dip the bread in any extra pesto Alfredo sauce you may have. Their Chicken Piccata is also excellent! The chicken is a tender and moist fried chicken. The sauce is creamy and generous with a nice lemon flavor that is not overly tart and with plenty of capers that provided a good balance and added an additional sour flavor that helped bring out the body of the sauce. However, the biggest star of the show is the generous bed of linguine pasta. Like all of their noodles, the pasta was delicious and soft with a great texture and the creamy sauce really complemented the pasta perfectly. Their pizza is great and the sourdough crust is a star! It has a very sweet and delicious pizza sauce that really stands out, especially compared to other pizzas. Their cheesecake is amazing! It's smooth, rich, and creamy with a dense and rich center. However, as good as that was, the standout component in this cheesecake is the crust. The crust is often my least favorite part, but this crust has a deep caramel and perhaps slightly nutty taste that was different from any other crust I've ever had. The caramel flavor profile cut through yet balanced and complemented the creamy rich flavor of the cheesecake itself for an excellent top-to-bottom bite. The cannolis are the best I've ever had and I'm not even a big fan of cannolis! They have a crunchy exterior and a rich and creamy interior loaded with chocolate chips. The service is wonderful! The staff are so nice and friendly! Any place you can frequent and be recognized and asked if you "want the usual" is a special place. I'm blessed to have even formed friendships and talk about our work and kids and life in general. This may be my longest review, but it is for good reason! I cannot recommend Gambill's enough or begin to express how much I love it and value its place in my life. If you only try one new restaurant this decade, I encourage you to make it Gambill's! 5/5 (Favorite!)

Restaurant Review I had a very disappointing experience at Tiamo's on 61st and Sheridan in Tulsa this past Saturday. I was there with a group of six young ladies celebrating a birthday. There were only a handful of other people in the restaurant, and our group had each had only one glass of wine. We were enjoying ourselves and celebrating, but we were not being excessively loud or disruptive. At one point, the manager came over and asked if we were having a good time. We said that we were. She then proceeded to tell us that there was a couple in the restaurant trying to have a quiet, romantic dinner and that we needed to keep our voices down. I found the way this was handled extremely rude and unnecessary. If there was genuinely a concern about our volume, the manager could have simply and respectfully asked us to lower our voices without making us feel as though we were an inconvenience. What made the interaction particularly uncomfortable was that the restaurant was barely occupied, yet we were singled out in a way that made us feel unwelcome. I also couldn't help but wonder whether the fact that everyone in our group was a person of color played a role in how we were treated. I cannot say that was the reason, but that was certainly how the interaction made me feel. A birthday celebration should be a pleasant experience, and unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression on all of us. I hope management takes a closer look at how situations like this are handled because there are respectful ways to address noise concerns without making paying customers feel unwelcome or singled out. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable returning.
