First the good. Service was great. Attentive and friendly. The manager even stopped by to welcome us as this was our first time. Restaurant is clean and bright. A good spot to gather with friends or watch a sports game. Now the bad. I disliked all the food that we ordered, unfortunately. My husband and I shared a salad, pizza and lasagna. Salad dressing was too tangy. For a brick oven pizza, this was not what I expecting. This is NOT a traditional Napoli style brick oven pizza. No fluff on the crust. The dough did not have any chew and fell flat when picked up. The flavor was nothing special. For the price, I dont think this pizza is worth it. The lasagna was also not traditional. I am a pizza snob so this review might not apply to you. I thought the space was inviting and open. Walls had many TVs so it's probably great for game days, etc. I did like that their wines were all reasonably priced. Food: Farm house salad - 3/5 - decent. The dressing was a bit too acidic on my tongue. Psycho shroom pizza - 3/5. Alright, so brick oven pizzas are always a plus in my book. In my opinion, the dough had no crisp, it flopped too much, way too much flour on it because after each bite, I had to wipe the flour off my lips, which was annoying. The topping sounded nice on the menu, but it was meh. Yes, you do smell the truffle oil and the mushrooms were good although basic. I can't remember how the cheese was. Now, it was not a bad pizza by any means. I actually do think most normies would enjoy this. I just think the price did not standup to the quality. Lasagna - 4/5. We were stunned by the Amazing fish,fantastic salad and a scrumptious 5 layer lasagna. But the star of the evening was their pan-crisped fish. IIt was such surprise to find it on the "pizza" menu and serving was huge. It's such an inventive recipe filled with flavor that you might possibly (if lucky) to find at a 5 star restaurant. My husband and I had occasion to travel to the south side of town for a show and wanted to try something we've never had before. Upper Crust has been there for as long as that shopping center has been there, so we figured it was obviously holding its own and doing good business. When we arrived, we told our waitress it was our first time and she recommended the social hour specials. I ordered ERWO and we got the fried mozzarella to share. Sorry, no picture of that! We devoured it. We asked a few more questions of the waitress who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, including letting us know we could order the pizzas in a smaller size for a lesser charge which wasn't obvious from a cursory review of the menu. We decided to share the Numbers pizza and the classic NYC Grinder. We did ask for the pizza to be well done. Everything arrived promptly and I would say the only note is we would have preferred the pizza more well done. Shortly after we asked for a box, the manager came over to check on us. The waitress had alerted him that it was our first time and he came over to check on our experience and leave us with a free appetizer coupon to use on return. We will be back. The service was excellent and there are other items we want to try out, and we loved that they were enthusiastic and welcoming. By comparison, when we went to another long-standing Tulsa restaurant for the first time recently, we were treated with condescension and basically ignored because we weren't their weekend regulars. I believe I had the supreme pizza (personal size) and it was ok but not great (to me). It was my first time there so I plan to go back and pick another pizza. The general manager and staff have always made me feel welcome there. They've been several occasions when we have reached out to them for various needs for events and our parties and they have always done well with flying colors. The food is some of my favorite. They will work with you to make sure that you have the best dining experience. In my opinion they own that corner at 91st and Yale if you're ever in Tulsa. The nachos are amazing and same for the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The zucchini chips are incredible. The fish is incredible, especially when you're looking for great places to find fish during lent. The haddock is amazing! I am really hopping I have the right upper crust. first off love this place. food is always amazing and lets be honest. brick fire pizza...come on nowww it' delicious! last night I came in. walking in, atmosphere 100, hosts greeting 100. got sat, got greeted in the first 30 seconds. Sarah k I believe was her name, came to the table and I already knew me and my date were going to be well taken care of. she said it was her first serving job and had been there about a year or soo. Honestly couldn't tell. she did amazing . I reallly enjoyed her presence and she brought a positive energy to the table. I truly enjoyed the experience last night. PS. I will say. I was sat next to these two lady's. first I will say I hope it wasn't a Karen situation and HOPING these lady's where kind. but a pizza was messed up a few times. Upper crust is fun ! Friday night rush wait was 20 minutes. I enjoy the fact that the girl running the gate knew the exact wait time ! This place is crowded and loud with assortment of bar tables community tables. We had a reasonably priced bottle of wine with a couple of pizzas and a salad 4 people in and out for 100 bucks. I noticed a lot of TVs on the bar wall so I'm sure there's lots of sports going on in there at the bar is open seating. Food Rundown Italian Nachos - Flavor was interesting, but the presentation wasn't very appetizing. Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup - The Grilled Cheese could have had more cheese on it, and the soup was pretty basic. Tony's Italian Pizza - This was my favorite thing we ate. The roasted garlic sauce, pepperoni, and banana peppers combined for a great savory taste. The booth we sat at was comfortable, and the service was friendly. I was greeted very politely by the floor manager and seated in a section in view of the big screen entertainment and following that, "Sarah Sunshine " welcomed me in and took my drink order and explained the pizza and salad specials. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Wife wanted the Red Pepper Hummas. It did not spind good to me. I was dwad wrong. The Pita served with it was warm ...... like it just came out of the oven. The Maverick pizza was the best pizza that we have had since the Pepperoni Pizza at the Brocktwon Brewery in Bricktown. The manager (awesome guy) came by and chatted us up. He suggested the Sweet Berry Tart from the season feature menu. DAYUM! The Amore's fig preserves, goat cheese, prosciutto, balsamic glaze and fresh arugula, spells ah-mazing. No joke. The photo doesn't give this perfection any justice.
