I sold my salvage '01 Honda Accord 2dr to Peddle, which they sent Copart to pick up my car at an autobody shop. I scheduled with the tow guy, but he was 1 hour late. I waited around the shop over 1.5 hours... he was a nice/cool guy though. gave me a $50 check and took my salvage car away. I went to BoA after to cash the their BoA check, but the bank teller told me that copart's account didn't have enough funding in the account! Called copart about the check, and they told me to tell the teller that they're suppose to cash it from a different account. Teller told me they can't do that. Called copart again, and they said to just deposit the check, and it will be fine. I didn't want to risk getting a bounce check and lose $ in fees, so I waited few days and tried again at different BoA. Still couldn't cash it, even after speaking to the bank manager. Called copart, and the lady explained to me, and ask me to let her speak to the bankers. They somehow was able to bypass it and allowed me to cash the check. I gave them 3 star because this lady was very nice and professional in helping me get the check through. tr;dl - Spent a lot of time just to cash their check. They sold 2012 car cng without tanks and when I got the car and my body shop found out there is no tanks. I call auction and talk to manage Jimmy Graig. When I explain that you sold me the Stage car. My car was totaled and towed by my insurance company to Copart. I had a fair amount of goods inside. Copart was to ship me my items because I was in the hospital. Copart never mailed my items. So I went to Copart personally to get them. Unfortunately they had locked the car so I couldn't get in. Next time I went back and they couldn't find my car. So I emailed them again and ask for help. Beware: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Do NOT do business with Copart whatsoever, they are completely UNPROFESSIONAL. I was recording them as they were unloading my car and they broke it even more!! I have proof of this, thank God I was recording!!! The tow truck driver didn't even speak English and was throwing water to the tires to try to make the car slide down the tow truck ramp but not before asking me to help by pushing my own car off the tow truck driver that Copart sent me. This is where your car goes when damaged. Your insurance company leaves it there until you decide wether you're going to buy back or junk it. While it sits there, the employees steal what's good. I went thru a lot with my vehicle being damaged and deemed salvage from my insurance company, but the damages cosmetic and not that bad so I definitely wanted to buy back. When I went to see it after being released from the hospital, my radio, amplifier, and cash I kept in the upper console was stolen. As if I haven't been thru enough. The people at the desk gave me and my family a sheet to sign in and out of, and had us write down what we took out. We mentioned the radio was stolen and they brushed it off. Then they told us what we signed was a sheet saying what was missing. Our fault for not reading what they told us was just a sign in sheet, but that just shows you cannot trust these people. When we were escorted to and from the truck, workers there who were doing nothing, were looking at us in a very suspicious manner. FULLY INSPECT YOUR VEHICLE ASAP IF IT IS BEING SENT HERE! THEY ARE THIEVES!!! They steal from people's vehicles who are sometimes already down and out from an accident or something that caused their car to be sent there. I highly doubt the CSI Investigators where my vehicle was took it. The manager constantly argued and denied everything to my insurance company. Thank god my insurance company realized I've been a loyal customer and reimbursed me for what was stolen at this yard. read more

scam is the only word that can describe this business. do not support this business they rip people off everyday. 1st car i bought this year i paid alot of money for it and they stated it is a runing and driving vehicle. my driver brings it to me and we try to start it and we here this crazy metal noise from the engine. so the car never started and motor wont spin. paid mechaninc $800 to take it apart. we show up and the motor inside is rusted. one of the piston rods is ripped off. so mechanic said this car has not ran for years...... how did they test drive and mark it as a run and drive carr???? so i called the copart yard spoke to the manager hes useless.. 2nd time i buy a mercedes cl500 running car and my driver gets there and they try to give him the car with out the keys. my driver is telling them give me the keys. they are saying they lost the keys and forcing us to take the car with out the keys... this will cost me $1000 and weeks to get a key... 2nd option or wait a till next week and pick it up they will make the keys. offcourse we will take that option!!... monday comes and i call the manager greg and hes like wiat till thursday we might get the key?????? really??? i tell him why did you tell me it would be done by monday?? hes like well if your upset you should have just taken the refund option... he never told me that option i wanted that from the beginning!! so now im here stuck waiting a week just to get the car. and who knows what else will be stolen from the car!!!! they dont care about their customers. very sad how they make so much money from ppl and dont care about them. thats the worst way to treat customers......... im calling their headquarters right now and after that the better business burea report them as a fraud. read more

I got into a car accident and totaled my car. I went to get my CD's from my 6 CD changer stereo at Copart. (In the whole crazy thing I had forgotten to get them.) When I got to the yard and they brought my car up I went to get them and guess what??? They were already removed. I asked the guy what they do with the CDs? He said "oh we don't touch them they should be in the car" Right... I THINK IT SUCKS YOUR CAR GETS TOTALED AND THEY STEAL FROM YOU ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE!!! Last week, my car got totaled and the insurance company sold it to these grafters. After being hung up on twice, I was able to speak to somebody on the phone about coming to pick up my car. Besides being difficult, the representative was unhelpful and downright ignorant. To top it all off, I was unable to come down to the location to pick up my stuff, so I authorized my dad to do it. That was a whole other can of worms with the woman on the phone. He cleared out absolutely everything from the car and sent me the pictures to prove it. After taking stock of my belongings, it became apparent that several things had been stolen from my vehicle that added up to roughly $75 in value. This is perhaps the single worst business I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with and I STRONGLY recommend that anybody steer clear of this place at all costs. read more

These people are extremely lazy and have zero respect for you or your bussiness. My cars abs went out and I go into an accident my insurance deemed it a total loss and had this company calling me off the hook to come pick up my car. I finaly had time to call them to schedule and told them I would meet the tow truck with the key after I empty out my personal belonging. I got sick and couldn't do it. The driver found my other set of keys n towed it anyways. When I show up at 4:40 I waited for 15 minutes while everyone ignored me. Finaly I got ahold of a lady who was overwhelmed by being the only female upfront who everyone else sat n made calls doing who knows what nor do I care but it's disgusting that they see me and don't even acknowledge me I had to finaly ask this girl trying hard to ignore me for help which she then asked someone else to do it and he ignored me. Finaly the lady upfront asks if she can help me ask for my ID I find out my insurance put my sisters name on it instead of mine so then I had to bring her in and she had no ID so we told to call our insurance company or look at the title in my car but they couldn't be bothered and ignored my request and then she goes back to another costumer and then a man using the computer ignores me for another ten minutes until I finally had enough and asked him to get a supervisor and his reply is "you know we close at 5 " which I almost blew my lid and told him to hurry up n go get her cuz I'd been there before 5. The supervisor then before I can tell her anything she says we close at 5 and ask costumers to be here at 4 30 pm it took everything in me to be polite I told her I'd been there before 5 and finaly telling her to hurry up and giving me shit I told her to call pat my insurance agent at farmers which she replied I don't know who that is. Really professional. Can't just ask for the number and call to verify who I am, have to have an attitude. She finally gets my car out n let's us get our things where someone had broke my brand new glass container and my sister cuts her arm on trying to pull things out of the trunk. I'll be letting my insurance agent know not to do bussiness with this company again. read more
