I decided to pop in today to browse & was happy to learn they now accept credit cards with a $10 minimum purchase. I couldn't believe my luck either. I found a $4 vegan leather jacket and a White House/Black Market maxy dress for $8! Now that I am learning to minimize, I need to be sure to donate as many items back as I purchased! With a sale like this, prices plummet so precipitously that I end up buying oddball items like mason jars just because I want the lid for my much bigger and more useful mason jar at home. I thought I knew the store pretty well, but I was wrong. There were all sorts of little sections that I had overlooked in my previous visits. I found a little set of bins, loaded with useful supplies for some of my favorite but more obscure hobbies. I was really really impressed by the coffee table that was priced at $.85. That is correct cents. This was so unbelievable that I checked the price tags three times. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my car, it doesn't match any of my decor and it doesn't fit my spaces. Oh well There are some sections, such as the stationary area that are so reliably overstocked that I don't even bother to visit office supply stores or check out Amazon before I shop here. In fact when I wanted to measure an item, I wished I had bought a tape measure. But then it occurred to me that the overstocked stationary area would probably have lots of rulers. Problem solved. For once, I arrived early enough that I could donate. I've been diligently collecting my donations and missing the donation times for almost a year. It pays to sign up for the mailing list because they will unexpectedly shut down donations because they no longer have any storage. This has happened to me multiple times until I wised up and got the emails. I rummaged over enough stuff, lost track of time, and finally snapped out of it when my stomach told me to go home. In spite of the attractive sale,, it was not overcrowded. It was still comfortable and gave you plenty of space to look at items and try to figure out what some of the more obscure objects were. I didn't actually end up buying very much. But clearly the fun was in the treasure hunt.

She took time to hear my story and the story of my daughter's abuse at the hands of her perpetrator As well as my story. This agency, as far as I'm concerned is the only one in the county that is knowledgeable with anything trauma and victim related As well as taking the time to call people back and to provide resources and phone numbers to call. They are truly on your side here, unlike other agencies, such as Sane Sart, Trauma recovery center and DA advocates which I would altogether avoid because they're useless.
