The mashed sweet potatoes were the highlight for sure. There were a lot of tables there for graduation celebrations so the service was slower than normal. We had a last-minute urge to go out and get dinner. We went to Copelands with an open mind. We thoroughly enjoyed their oysters, Rockefeller and grilled oysters. We shared a half rack of ribs with the mashed sweet potato and coleslaw sides. The biscuits will like comfort food. We also sampled the chicken and waffles. Everything taste great. The ambience was casual with loud environment, but it was enjoyable. We also visited by musician who played guitar at our table. We sampled some of their alcoholic drinks, which were all tasty. All in all, it was quite an entertaining Friday night with great company and food. I will see if I was very attentive and explain the menu when we had questions. The food came out in shorted order. Good spot for weekend Brunch Sat/Sun. In with party of 4 in Sunday and went in for 10 am when they open. Lots of open parking with regular table seating as well as bar and covered w closed patio seating. Promptly seared and Josh server was quick to greet us and take drink orders. As was our first visit he explained the various serving stations and where to go. Good opening crowd but it definitely got more crowded by 11-1130. The waffles were freshly made hot and tasty, meat carving station with brisket, ham and Roast was good. Mac and cheese, Caesar salad were all good. Two types of bread pudding for dessert. My coworker and I are visiting from Phoenix to support training the new Jacksonville location, and everyone at work raved about the weekend brunch at Copeland's. We arrived to a busy parking lot on a Sunday at 1pm, so we had hopes that it was a great place if drawing that kind of crowd. We didn't make a reservation, but we were quickly seated in less than 10 minutes. Kaitlyn and Kiara greeted us and ensured our drinks stayed replenished. Both were very friendly and personable to advise where to get both savory and more sweet selections on the other side of the restaurant. Personally, it was a bit loud which I didn't enjoy. Large crowds are seated near you, so it can be hard to talk to who you are with. Though overall the food was pretty tasty. I highly recommend their biscuits. I'll admit that I longed for more seafood and likely wouldn't return for brunch, but rather their full dinner menu. Overall, I definitely think it's worth checking out whether you are visiting or a local. read more

Even with the crowd, our food came out faster than I expected and everything was fresh and flavorful. The portions were great and exactly what you want on a day like that. I finally made it to Copeland's ! This was my first visit. We were greeted and seated upon entry and they were really busy! The dining area has plenty sesting. Our server was very attentive and helpful throughout our visit. She went over the brunch buffet and the regular menu. Three of us chose the Brunch Buffet and one ordered from the menu. It was very busy but the food on the buffet was fresh and it did not run out. I started with the made to order omelet, stopped by the carving station and grabbed some French toast sticks from the waffle station. The grits were creamy, fried fish was crispy and flakey and we had no complaints! I would definitely return to Copeland's! read more

First post-Covid visit and every bite reminded me of how they've managed to consistently stay in business throughout the years. Don't be put off by how busy they always seem to be and time your visit to avoid the herd. We arrived a little after 5pm on Friday and got a great table. Kid friendly, solid menu with a nice range of options for every course, good happy hour prices, and know their customers enough to keep Tabasco and a Cajun hot sauce on every table. Our table shared their artichoke & spinach dip with fried bow tie pasta, Bayou Broccoli and crawfish bread from the Appetizers. Between the group we had Crawfish Etouffée (which I swear was more crawfish than rice, absolutely loaded), Jambalaya Pasta, Chicken Parm and some kid plates. Everything was nicely cooked and seasoned and arrived hot. The size of the crowd for the weekend brunch terrifies me, but their food is worth giving it a go! read more

Went to Copeland's for brunch and it was disappointing. The restaurant was busy and lively. The staff was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the food and my drink were big let downs. I was there around noon so it wasn't too late into the brunch. However when I went to the buffet, they ran out of bacon. I asked if more would be coming out and they said there was no more. They literally ran out of bacon midway through brunch! The other food for the buffet was dry and not appetizing. The saving grace was the made to order omelet stand. They also have a waffle bar that's likely fine since it's made on the spot, but I didn't try one It's disappointing however knowing you pay a buffet price for an essentially an omelet and maybe a waffle. Nothing else was worth eating and there was no bacon. For my drink o ordered a Bloody Mary. It did not include all the items noted on the menu and the celery stalk was wilted and dirty (eeeyuck). Again, their staff is great so I do hope things can improve with their food and bar. read more

One of my husband's coworkers recommended this place so we decided to try their buffet brunch to have multiple options. My husband & I just was in New Orleans in November. The food here didn't taste nothing like it. The flavors were missing. The food was mediocre. Everything tastes like it was rushed and not made with love. Normally we would get seconds but one round was enough for us. We spent $80 for 2pp not including drinks. That would be a good price if the food was worth it. Our server, Brittany, was the best! Not only was the service great, she was very personable and funny as well! We got there just before the dinner crowd, so the atmosphere was quiet but with some good music playing (we brought the crowd). Lol I didn't take pics of my food like I usually do, but I had the Gumbo YaYa, and the Blackened Trio. My friend had the spicy Herb Fried Chicken with a side of Red Beans and Rice. I was VERY full, but I let Brittney twist my arm and I ordered the Copeland's Cheesecake with Caramel Pecan Drizzle (or something like that). The cheesecake was so fluffy and I loved the crust. The drizzle was perfect. It wasn't overly sweet so it was AMAZING! I'm from out of state. I really enjoy Copeland's. Everytime I travel in from Savannah I stop in for brunch, as it's always so delicious and flavorful. The lines and wait can be long but it's so worth it. The Sunday brunch is about $32 and the mimosas are $7. You can find everything from a waffle, omelet, ham and roast station, fish, grits, bacon, sausage and so much more. I don't enjoy how it seems to be a secret about the wings and beignets they bring complimentary to your table, if you do not know they offer this then they just don't bring you any and when you ask they take forever to bring it to the table. read more
