Our server, Brittany, was the best! Not only was the service great, she was very personable and funny as well! We got there just before the dinner crowd, so the atmosphere was quiet but with some good music playing (we brought the crowd). Lol I didn't take pics of my food like I usually do, but I had the Gumbo YaYa, and the Blackened Trio. My friend had the spicy Herb Fried Chicken with a side of Red Beans and Rice. I was VERY full, but I let Brittney twist my arm and I ordered the Copeland's Cheesecake with Caramel Pecan Drizzle (or something like that). The cheesecake was so fluffy and I loved the crust. The drizzle was perfect. It wasn't overly sweet so it was AMAZING! I'm from out of state. I really enjoy Copeland's. Everytime I travel in from Savannah I stop in for brunch, as it's always so delicious and flavorful. The lines and wait can be long but it's so worth it. The Sunday brunch is about $32 and the mimosas are $7. You can find everything from a waffle, omelet, ham and roast station, fish, grits, bacon, sausage and so much more. I don't enjoy how it seems to be a secret about the wings and beignets they bring complimentary to your table, if you do not know they offer this then they just don't bring you any and when you ask they take forever to bring it to the table. read more

WOW... I had a very good dining experience at Copeland's of New Orleans in Jacksonville, FL. I haven't dined at Copeland's since it's closure in Baton Rouge, LA in 2023. Everything was just as I remembered and expected. The service and the food were epic. For an appetizer, I ordered Crab Stuffed Beignets served on top of a white remoulade sauce. It came in a four-piece order in the size slightly larger than a golf ball. For my entrée, I ordered Crab Stuffed Catfish with a lump crabmeat stuffing broiled and served with shrimp rice pilaf, steamed broccoli, and hot soft made Copeland' famous biscuit. The stuffing in both the Beignets and the catfish had plenty of lump crab meat. Both dishes were very good, and the portions are great. Me and my fiancé came on a Sunday during the weekly brunch & had a great time. We come often and today our server Sherman did a fantastic job. He was nice, attentive, and speedy. Not sure why I keep coming back here. Service is always terrible, the restaurant noise level of way too loud, servers roaming about talking to random tables. I got there at 930, quickly ordered an appetizer and then she kept rushing me to order my main dish. I told her I wanted to finish the appetizer and she said the kitchen is about to close. What? This isn't a bar it's a restaurant! You don't close the kitchen before a guest that just got their order. So now I am rushed to look over the menu. She stopped by again 2 times to see if I was ready. Well I'm trying to enjoy my app! Finally decided to just eat the app due to being rushed. Then, I finished a bit more than half my app and the server drops by and asks if I'm done! Went to Copelands for the first time to try the breakfast buffet I've been told about and well. Yeah. I loved every single thing I ate except for the eggs, a bit too hard and dry and the biscuits and gravy a bit too salty. The rice and beans were delicious. The freshly made waffles are amazing. The cheese grits are so smooth and creamy. The fried catfish was perfection. I'm so full but so satisfied. I'll be returning for sure! read more

From the minute that we walked in, we knew that we were in for a real treat! The extensive menu had fabulous offerings of traditional New Orleans food. Emily, our waitress, was friendly, fast and knowledgeable. She sure knew her products!! Hubby had the po'boy with the side of red beans and rice. Best he has had in 10 years!!!! Homemade tartar sauce and soft, fresh bread encased great shrimp. I opted for the Jazz Wings.....OH MY! Ample, tasty and great mild buffalo sauce!! Chef Efosa stopped by to make sure that we were enjoying everything...and we were. Now....on to dessert. We shared the homemade cream cheesecake with a caramel pecan sauce. I came here today with some friends for a special event. We had a buffet spread that was Devine. The hot biscuits to the desserts. Everything was very delicious. The service for water, colas and other drinks-was slow. We sat outside on the patio, which I loved. Way too crowded inside. It was a cool rainy day. When we first got there, they had the outdoor heaters on. But, we asked the Manager to turn them off. It got too warm. I was glad we had the entire patio reserved for our party. I have been in Jacksonville for 7 years, but this was my first experience visiting Copeland's. My aunt came in to town for her birthday and wanted to go to dinner with her husband, my mom, and me. I honestly didn't know what she enjoyed eating, so I looked at Yelp and saw a bunch of old reviews from other Yelpers about Copeland's. The menu had a good selection of items when I looked at the Yelp reviews, so we agreed to try this place. We went on a Wednesday during happy hour. It was no wait, and we were seated and eating pretty fast. My aunt loved her food. She got the catfish and crab claws. I tried the crawfish etofeee which was pretty good. My mom got the oysters, and she loved them. My uncle got a huge fried seafood platter that he could not finish. Overall, it was a good choice for my Aunt. Came here with a friend for happy hour since he had been here before and loved the drinks/food. However, we were both wildly disappointed. Nothing we had was that great. The drinks were terrible. I had the Harlequin (which tasted like cough syrup and was missing the fresh fruit garnishes) and the Appletini (incredibly too sweet and syrupy). Our waiter was the same person making our drinks and unfortunately he was not great at either job. Regarding the food: - artichoke and spinach dip (served with fried bow tie pasta) = 2.5/5 very middle of the road, nothing to write home about. The dip wasn't stellar and I would have preferred some chips over the fried bow tie pasta - crab stuffed beignets = 3.5/5 this was probably one of the better dishes that we had, they were well seasoned and fried. Not too oily. The sauce was good as well. - jazzy wings = 3/5 there were 5 or so breaded and fried wings slightly coated in buffalo sauce and served with ranch or bleu cheese (supposed to be your choice but they didn't give me one and when I asked for ranch instead of bleu cheese, they insisted that what I'd gotten was ranch even though it wasn't). Not very crispy/crunchy. - side of French fries = 1/5 very oily, not crispy or crunchy, not good - Caesar salad with fried chicken = 2.5/5 dead average and nothing to write home about - biscuits = 1/5 really just not good... I don't think the biscuit was mixed well or cooked all the way through so the texture was very grainy and it didn't taste good read more

Food was still as good as it was 10 years ago, and I hear the brunch buffet was just as impressive. Everyone seemed quite happy with their treasures.
