Great place all around! I got the Connecticut lobster roll. Definitely needed an extra lemon and side of butter. Fresh tasting lobster though so that's what matters. My kids liked the shrimp salad. I would suggest adding a shrimp Louie salad to the menu as it has shrimp, crab, and thousand island dressing. That would be great as the only options for dressings are an interesting Mayo/sour cream dressing they make or balsamic and ranch packets. One downside I'd say was that the whole place was very Smokey from the toaster so if you have asthma this could be a potential issue. Hopefully they get this handled because it's not a bbq spot so it shouldn't be Smokey. read more

My whole family was thoroughly impressed with our visit to Masons! The butter lobster roll (Connecticut style) was absolutely perfect! The best I've had in Florida!! I loved how they toast their rolls; they're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making every bite a delicious whether it's a hotdog or a lobster roll. My husband enjoyed the lobster grilled cheese, and was dipping it in the rich lobster bisque. The kids were happy too, with their hot dogs, tater tots, and mac n cheese. It was such a relief to find no line on a Saturday, and we really appreciated the outdoor seating! The only downside was the fountain drinks; the lemonade had a strange taste. On occasion, I crave and enjoy a lobster roll; though being I live in Arizona it isn't always the best place to find a fresh one. When visiting for work at the Jacksonville office, I knew I had to try some seafood while I'm here. When getting my nails done, I noticed this place and decided my coworker who traveled with me should stop after nails for a light dinner. The Connecticut roll was very filling and tasted very fresh! I really love Mason's. I went to their location in Fernandina Beach a couple years ago during a yelp event would drive up on lazy days when I had nothing to do. Now, they have more locations that makes stopping by much easier. I love their bar harbor roll which is their regular lobster roll but topped with a tail as well. It is a nice meal! The lobster is always very fresh, never tastes fishy just clean and fresh. I like their pickles too. I have never gotten the pickle at this location but the Fernandina always gave one so I don't know if they just don't have them here but that's small. The staff are nice enough. We went to Mason's close to when they were close to closing time. We were greeted by a server / cashier who accommodated us and gave great suggestions. This is new location in the Town Center with ample nearby parking lot mall parking. The restaurant was clean and had the typical quick service seafood ambience. It was empty likely because they were almost closing for the evening. We ordered the Connecticut as well as the classic rolls with the lobster bisque. I have heard so many great things about masons, so we ventured to the new location in town center. I am sad to say that the hype left me wanting more. I will say the food wasn't awful but for the price I could have gone to a local seafood place, paid less and have better quality/portion size. Missed the grand opening so I went the next day to check out the new location in the St Johns Town Center. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. There was a good crowd sitting down to eat but luckily not to order. I was indecisive at first on what to order but the lady at the register told me that day they were doing $1 off combo.
