When I was driving to work early one morning, my transmission seemed to be getting rather hesitant and, for lack of a better term, "grabby." After work the problem had gotten MUCH worse, and I was lucky that my car even GOT me to Link Automotive. Since they couldn't get to my car until the next day, they were kind enough to give me a courtesy drive home. The next day they called to tell me that a couple of transmission cooling lines had to be replaced. I authorized the repairs, they ordered the parts, and a couple of days later my car was driving just fine. They explained that one cooling line had completely rusted through and the other was almost as bad, so I had lost most of my transmission fluid. Worst case scenario was needing a new transmission, but fortunately that was not necessary. So I HIGHLY recomment Link Automative should you ever need transmission work done.

On 4/28/2026 they called to tell me that I had a major exhaust leak and were outsourcing the repair to Quality Exhaust. The repair was complete and I was on my way that afternoon. It is now 6/12/2026, the weld that Quality Exhaust did on my suburban has failed and is back in a repair shop having the weld redone correctly. I called Steve & Stacy's and they basically just said sorry. I feel that because it is unreasonable for me to return to their shop to have the repair fixed, I should be offered a refund. they did give me the name and information for Quality Exhaust but thats all they had to offer me. Quality Exhaust was terrible to me when I called. I would not say that Steve & Stacy's are at fault for the weld failing however I made my payment to them, they should provide the refund and deal with the terrible owner at Quality Exhaust themselves.

A week later I could hear something loose in one of the rear drums - rattling around. I took it back to their shop. When I came back, they said nothing was wrong and charged me $40. There was obviously something the mechanic missed the first time during installation. It was the same mechanic who checked it out when I came back. This work was done on 4/28/2026. It is 6/12/2026 and the welds failed and the exhaust needs to be rewelded. When I called and spoke with them the gentleman who answered the phone said that he would repair it for free however I am many many miles away and that is unrealistic. He gave me the owners phone number. I called him and explained the situation. I asked for a refund on the repair, he then accused me of being rude and yelling at him, I did not do either of those things. He said that if I send him photos of the failed weld he would work with me as long as I am not rude. I was not rude in the first place and I was explaining to him in a very calm and even tone that I was not trying to be rude and was just explaining the situation to him, He hung up on me. I believe they knew I was an out of towner and didn't take the time and effort to do the repairs correctly or adequately. I do not recommend this business.
