Sunset Air I would avoid at all costs especially if you live on Anderson Island. I have only once…read morebefore done a negative review on any company but this time I feel compelled to do so. First of all they have to take a ferry to our island which is inconvenient for most businesses from off the island we understand that. The issue stems from their charges they use to come to the island. They charge a flat rate of $250.00 to come here for every customer they have that day they will only come over when they 2 or more appointments. The standard going rate from every other contractor is the cost of the ticket which is $33.00 or up to $75.00 per customer. We had them come and service our 5 year old mini-split it wasn't cooling back in mid September of 2025. We are snow birds and left the island the week after they were here to go to AZ for the winter. We came back on Memorial Day 2026 when about 3 weeks later we tried to use the AC but it still wasn't working. We called Sunset Air back to have fix what they hadn't fixed before. Their charge for the repair in September was $1,219.00. When we called them back they said it would be another $250.00 for the ferry ride plus a $250.00 service charge just to look at it! The repairman was average at best the 1st time he didn't even put it back together with all the screws I had to do it myself. We will be calling the Attorney General to log a complaint about their shady practices. Sadly, Bill Cunningham

We got a call about an hour prior to the appointment time saying the electrician was on their way. Great. However, he never showed up. I called the company to see what's going, and I was told they would call the electrician, then call me back. Over 30 min later, no call, and it's 5 minutes prior to close. I called again and finally the electrician called me back and gave me a 100 excuses and rescheduled the appointment to today. Well, here we are, over an hour past the appointment time, and he didn't show up, no calls, no messages, nothing. I would be wary doing business with a company that has this kind of an issue TWICE in a row.

I came across Fine Hvac when I was driving down Yelm Ave and saw a sign on a telephone pole. We…read morerequested an appt either a Saturday or Sunday and got a text back in reasonable time that they were able to come out on Monday as requested. Unfortunately due to circumstances, they had to come later than scheduled, but they were very communicative via text to update me on where they were. One of the owner Nate and his son Jaden showed up and spent a lot of time assessing our issue (issues with heat and wanting maintenance) and doing what they could to resolve the problem, even when it was dark and cold. They made an appt with us to come back at the end of the week in the daylight so they could assess a few more things. The second time he came with his son Jace, who works alongside his dad. They spent a lot of time with out and gave us a lot of good information to know. They were able to do what they could, but they will need to come back out in the spring to see if we have any leaks. We got our invoice fairly soon after services were completed. They charge a fee for coming out and assessing the problem as well as any services completed. For the two days they were here and the refrigerate they put into our system, our bill was $384. Great small and new business (they only opened in May 2025), but Nate has many years experience! Happy to support them and would definitely higher them again.

It all started with the addition of an in law suite a year ago...and like a good yeast bread grew…read morefrom there. Chris, Nate and Mitterrand, hung in there every step of the way. Chris's advise and skill were invaluable in helping us solidify our ideas and when we got stuck he was always there to offer great suggestions and options. We just finished remodeling our family room and Chris and his team have once again not failed to amaze us. Both the in law suite and the family room were in existing structures from 1979. They were able to bring us into the 21st Century while navigating the wiring of the late 70's. We are now state of the art, USB in most all wall and floor outlets and remote controls for all our lights in the family room/Home theater. All our cabinets and book cases have lights in them or under them. and it feels so good! Joe, the owner, has hung in there with us, working with our crazy schedules. Chris, however put up with our crazy ideas and made them a reality often times he and Nate would say " You might want to consider this" and they were always right. They worked COVID clean and always with respect for us and the property. I would not hesitate to hire them again, and when you have a house this old the next job is just around the corner.

The guys also seemed very knowledgeable which gave us a boost of confidence about the work that would be done. The quote fit well within our budget. Shawn and his crew did a great job getting our furnace and AC up to code etc. They dealt with the difficult ductwork issues in our crawl space to improve airflow to colder parts of our home. Now the air flow is much better and we are very comfortable! My neighbor is now getting a heatpump and updating his furnace too through TCS. Tahoma Comfort Systems went beyond what any other installers would have done and we are happy.

I explained as clearly as I could what the other 2 had said before they gave up on it. So they would know going in, that this was going to be a difficult fix. They assured me they wouldnt give up, that they would keep on it until they fixed it. Well 2 stars not one because Keith gave it his best effort, but inevitably gave up. He stopped responding to my texts, and when I called the office to see what was going on, they said that the fan that was ordered to replace mine, was incorrect, and if I wanted them to still fix it, I'D HAVE TO FIND THE FAN. Well I emailed Goodman (the maker of my unit) and they refused to work with me because I'm a home owner not a company. Basically this company gave me the run around for 3 months. Now 7 months into trying to get this damn thing fixed, and the new company i had to come in after Tahoma says theres nothing wrong with the fan. Tahoma also charged for an hour of labor, and the cost to determine what was wrong with it. (And watch out! They'll charge for an hour of labor to order your part for you as well! They only refunded that after I complained that they never quoted that before charging me) However they could never tell me what was wrong with it, and it never got fixed. Keith was great though, well, until the company told him to stop replying to us. It's OK to admit you don't know how to fix something, just tell us before we're trapped in this oven of a house in the middle of summer.
